Duck confit. It was fried, skin was very crispy.

Super nice place, the food was no-nonsense, meaning not as delicately prepared as pricier places, but hardy and good tasting. We had the bone marrow, duck confit and andouille (intestines stuffed with intestines and tripe), and enjoyed them all.

Our appetizers. Potatoed in cream and cheese.

Thierry and staff are warm and welcoming. Food is delicious and rich. Really enjoyed our meal. The French couple sitting next to us offered to let us taste the roasted bone marrow with toast they were enjoying.

The chef was the cheeriest person ever! Food was delicious! I was told the food they make is very traditional so you're in for the real deal coming here!

Super delicious! It is like fondue lobster & scallop mac'n'cheese

We really enjoyed this place as it felt very authentic. If you are and an English speaker they did have an English menu. Also, one of the staff members spoke English bit for the most part everyone else spoke French. It did not have that touristy feel that some to the places have around here where everyone is speaking English. As for food and wine, we thought it was great. My husband got the the duck which I tried and thought was great. I got something that started with the word gratin, however it is not pronounced apparently like how we say gratin potatoes. I tried to order it and the guy had no idea, I ended up just pointing. Basically, the gratin thing was the most cheesy lobster & scallop mac and cheese. The sauce was a cream cheese base and tasted like fondue cheese with noodles and seafood swimming in it! So yum! We also had the house red wine which I would say was semi-dry with some fruity notes. I'd never had creme Brule before so I don't have anything to compare it too but ours was great!

    Endives and ham gratinee.

I made a point to come to Le Coin for lunch based on the Yelp reviews. We arrived a bit before noon when they open but were seated regardless by the owner. The restaurant was packed by 12:30 with French customers. It is not difficult to figure out who is in charge here, tons of personality. The food was wonderful, everything that came from the kitchen looked great, all traditional french dishes without complications. There were no weaknesses on the menu written on a portable blackboard as is traditional here. The service was excellent, not hovering, but attentive. This isn't a place for those who are lactose intolerant, gluten free, count calories, or like to make special requests. Our meal included 2 glasses of wine; we took what the owner offered, no idea what it was but it was excellent, 2 main courses, 2 coffees and dessert, don't skip dessert here, the bill was 55E, or around $62.

Cozy corner cafe with good atmosphere and classic French options. Crème brûlée was about the best I've ever had.

Once you're finally inside, the staff is super nice and efficient (it helps having only a few things on the menu), and the salad is very refreshing after waiting so long to eat. The house red wine is very good, too. The steak comes rare, medium, or well done. If you usually go for medium-rare like I do, I recommend going rare. It was perfectly pink on the inside but still had a good bite. The steak is excellent, and the sauce is to die for. And the French fries? Out of this world. It may seem a little gimmicky that they refill your plate, but you'll be so happy with how good the food is, it doesn't matter. I used the fries to scrape the plate clean. I was sadly too stuffed to try the dessert, but it looked fantastic. Definitely recommend getting to the restaurant before they open and waiting out the line -- the steak and fries are more than worth it!

Sit at the counter to get the full experience of watching the kitchen staff do their thing. Our waiter explained the menu, suggested we could do 3 starters each, or a traditional starter and entree. We opted with the 6 starters, planning to share them all. First was an amuse bouche. It paired perfectly with the glass of champagne we started with. We then chose our dishes. The sea bream carpaccio was amazing, delicate and citrusy. That came with the scallops, two scallops sitting on a celery root puree, with truffle. Then we had the pig trotters, and the langoustine ravioli with food gas sauce. The trotters were amazing with a pickled cabbage, delicate sauce and shaved Comte. (My husband was skeptical of this one, but ate most of it!) . The langoustine dish was delicious. The foie gras sauce was delicate and not overpowering . Finally we had the lamb, and the chicken gyoza with Parmesan and smoked duck. Again, delicious. The sommelier was a great help with the wine. We started with a glass of champagne. Mine was a glass of Sauvignon blanc, and we shared a bottle of Pinot Noir. A glass of Gewürztraminer paired perfectly with the dessert of crème caramel, served with warm, lemony madeleines. You cannot go wrong.

I started with the octopus carpaccio. Everything worked so well together and the octopus was extremely tender and not rubbery at all. A perfect start. For my main, I had the veal chop. Cooked and seasoned perfectly, this was a delicious piece of meat. It was a good portion too. Finally, dessert was I have no idea what it was. It looked cool, but that's about all it had going for it. Despite that, the starter and main were as close to perfect as you can get and I highly recommend this spot.
