So I came here for the first time yesterday because a friend had recommended it to me but my experience here was just okay. I had came here a little before noon on Thursday and I had ordered a Mt lemmon omelette for my daughter, and I had gotten the breakfast burrito. We got the food to go because we had a doctors appointment to get to but we werent very pleased with our food. The omelette was a little too dark almost burnt and it barely had any cheese in it. My daughter had gotten sourdough toast with her omelette which was barely toasted. On the menu, it said the breakfast burrito is suppose to be griddled which mine really wasn't at all and instead I got a soggy burrito which was gross. I had also asked for no pico de gallo at the very last minute which is my fault but the woman that was there making the food seemed sort of annoyed and frustrated because I had asked for no pico on my burrito. She was shaking her head as she was fixing my burrito which frustrates me and is actually very disrespectful because It was my very first time here and it made me feel like I can't ask for any changes on my order because then the cook gets upset. I am not sure if I will be returning to this place or not. Really disappointed with the food service because I had high expectations due to the fact that my friend had said such good things about this place. If I do try the food out again in the future, I will make sure to ask a different cook about changes for my order. Delicious food with a unique and pleasant lineup of pastries. The staff is pleasant and welcoming, although had slight difficulty either hearing or listening to us for we were asked the same questions repeatedly. The coffee was strong and tasted great. Not sure if refills were free (doubt it) and given that I feel the coffee was a little pricey, but not insanely expensive. Le Buzz wasn't as homey as I expected. It was packed, with a giant group of cyclists nearby that morning. I struggled picking something healthy on the menu - they had lots of breakfast sandwiches but none of them seemed astounding. I ended up picking their blueberry buckwheat pancakes, which I regretted. It was rather bland. It was a big serving though so I was able to take 2 of my 3 pancakes to go. The coffee was okay, nothing special. They do have a large case of baked goods. Hey that was good, now bring me the rest of my meal! The server came and plopped down a meal fit for a Barbie Dream House breakfast. Now I'm not a burley, Paul Bunyan type or anything but, I can definitely eat. And, I was most ready to eat today. I ordered half a Nappa sandwich, cup o' soup and side salad. Granted, I knew that I wasn't ordering a feast fit for a king but, I didn't expect my sandwich to be smaller than my latte. Don't even get me started on my husbands sandwich, it looked like it belonged in a Happy Meal. I spent over $30 on two tiny sandwiches and two drinks. The food itself was super tasty and fresh but, it left both my husband and I lacking. So we bought a Panettone and came home and devoured its crumbly goodness. I would definitely come eat here if I wasn't uber starving or, for a latte and sweet treats. Nice patio area, totally needs a bike rack though. read more

At first look, Le Buzz doesn't look like much. As you enter the cafe' you immediately notice a French bistro vibe with white marble topped tables and a wine bar. The menu is very simple for breakfast. At the counter you can order one of the many delicious pastries, scrambled eggs with toast or quiche of the day. The cappuccino, however, was thee best! MmmM! If you have a dog, Le Buzz has an outdoor seating area that is dog friendly. (5-stars just for that). read more

Le Buzz is one place that is surely "buzzing" in the mid morning after everyone has completed their morning hikes through Sabino Canyon or their morning ride along Tucson's roadways. Filled with hikers, cyclists and everyone in between, Le Buzz has proven to be the place to get your post workout fix or just some good food in general. Outside is already buzzing with people enjoying their food or beverage and upon entering, it's no different except that you are welcomed by their large array of fresh baked treats nicely displayed behind their pastry shelf. Everything from cookies, muffins, breads, croissants, scones, and much more. And if that isn't temping enough, they offer a large selection of coffees and teas as well. As for the food. My first visit was after an 8 miles hiking venture through Sabino Canyon and I was famished! I decided on their "Gimme My Regular" which includes 2 eggs, 2 slices of apple-smoked bacon, home fries, and sourdough or whole grain toast with their house-made jam. I opted for a healthier option of scrambled egg whites which they were happy to provided and chose the whole grain toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly fluffy, the bacon was crisp and indeed "apple-smoked," the home fries were among the best I have had with crunchy skin and tender insides, and the whole grain toast proved to be the perfect vessel for their sweet and tart raspberry jam. Upon my second visit I chose a lunch option which was not an easy option at that with so many tempting options to chose from. But despite my overload of delicious sounding menu items I opted on their "Turkey Avocado" with oven roasted turkey, fresh avocado, red onion, tomato, lettuce, provolone, mayo and a hint of whole grain mustard. I couldn't build a better sandwich myself. All the flavor components of this sandwich worked in perfect harmony together. Not one element overwhelming the other. And with a side salad and house-made dressing along side, it is a perfectly filling yet light lunch. My only negative comment would be the lack of attentiveness and enthusiasm of a few of the waitresses when I tried to get a refill of my unsweetened black iced tea. read more

We came here for a quick snack on a Saturday morning, and the place was bustling with people not only having a cup of coffee but also sandwiches, omelet, etc. Their menu featured many yummy looking breakfast options. However, they were on the pricey side, so my bf and I decided to just stick with the pastries. I got a banana pecan coffee cake and he opted for the maple bacon scone. While most of the other choices like the chocolate croissant, morning bun, cinnamon roll, were steeply priced at ~$4.50, ours were roughly half the cost at ~$2.50 each. There were plenty of tables seating groups of 2 and 4 on the inside, but they were mostly occupied, so we decided to sit outside. Le Buzz has it all. Excellent coffee. I lucked out this morning because the drip was organic Peru! mmmmmmmm. A full restaurant menu with real food. I'm enjoying a bacon quich right now that is delicious. They also have burritos, omelettes and Panini's, and that's just for breakfast. The have a full menu for lunch as well including many types of salads, sandwiches and wraps. They have all the amenities. Large self serve ice water, nice restroom, great outdoor seating, lots of tables and chairs. The ambiance is wonderful, one can't help but feel better after spending time here. The staff is great. Nick is very knowledgeable and helpful in helping one choose a food item. The entire staff is friendly. read more

I love that this place is tucked away right off of Catalina highway, which you'll notice right away makes it a popular spot for cyclists and hikers headed up to Mt. Lemmon. It's a nice little hidden restaurant for the east side of town. My experience here unfortunately was pretty underwhelming. Rather than servers, it's a standard "give your order at the counter, take this sign and we'll bring out your food" setting. One of my party member's coffee beverage was nearly forgotten, while the rest of the food came our in a fairly timely manner. My order of pancakes, eggs, and bacon was hit or miss, with delicious chocolatey pancakes seated next to lukewarm, undercooked eggs. I don't doubt that I could have a perfectly fine experience if I were to come again, but there was nothing really interesting about the menu, and they didn't perform well enough this time around to entice a second visit. I'm always happy to support east side locations in town, but unless you are adamant about a relatively health-conscious spot on your way to a day-hike, I don't see anything in this location that could touch such phenomenal east side breakfast spots (baja, prep, I'll even say oink) with a ten foot pole. read more

My only wish is that it was closer! Whatever your idea of breakfast is, they have you covered. Healthy options? Check. Sweet pastries? Check. Juice shots and strong coffee? Check. You can order plain Jane if you wish, but oh the lovely unexpected flavor combinations--balsamic zing on tomato and bacon; tangerine on avocado and egg. Then the veggies and fruit--fresh, nicely arranged, and in interesting texture combinations. You really can't go wrong here. Also, make no mistake, this is a little cafe. It's tiny. Absolutely excellent! We went today and the food was amazing. We had the BLT on sour dough. The bread was amazing and the having avocado in the BLT was so good! We also had the Sonoran salad which was fresh and had a delish dressing. There was a wonderful savory cornbread with cranberry. Really great. We will eat here again! read more

We have been here before and usually it is good. Today was a whole different story. We had gone on a 5-mile hike and were pretty hungry. Opted to go to Le Buzz figuring the holiday crowds had disappeared. They were out of pastries and so I decided on a breakfast burrito and a coke. My wife got the avocado toast and a coffee. We took our number and sat outside and noticed there were a lot of unserved tables and we waited. And we waited. And we waited. Finally I saw a group who had come right before us get served and I figured we were next. No, two other groups got served after that but I really had not tracked where they were compared to us. When a couple who sat down almost 30 minutes after we had been waiting got served I called the server over and said I think we were missed. After a few minutes of no action I went inside and nobody seemed to have an answer. Finally someone must have been digging through the orders and found our missed order. I was kind of ticked primarily because the servers kept coming out and not one had asked about our food. I was told that the food was being made and would be out right away. Finally someone in charge came out and asked had we gotten our drinks and we said yes, but not our food. He apologized and gave us a free scone. I have been off of sugar for a while so the scone was close to meaningless to me. As a restaurant please don't presume what someone wants for an apology. About ten minutes more of waiting we finally got our food and the server blamed the mishap on the computer. I guess. The irony was that when I was paying right after ordering and the touchscreen comes up asking if you want a tip. My thought at that moment, even though I have used these types of screens thousands of times before, was I don't really even know what the service will be why am I being asked to tip in advance. I guess my question was answered this day. I am sure the next time it will be fine, but not this day. I MUST UPDATE THIS REVIEW. THE OWNER DID REACH OUT TO ME AND UNDERSTOOD MY REVIEW AND OFFERED A GIFT CARD TO INVITE ME BACK FOR ANOTHER VISIT. I've been going here for the last 20 years, since we moved to the east side of town. Owners have changed and the location changed slightly, but one thing has never changed - the quality of their food and coffee. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Two years and 30 shots later, they're just ok. Dennis is an icon in Tucson, but I think his pastries and food get most of his attention now... Roast profile is deep and like most coffee shops in town the grind it set way too coarse, so instead of getting espresso you get astringent water. I discovered this place on a quick break while working and can't wait to go again. It's a great cafe with outdoor seating that is amazing in this weather. I went with a couple co-workers and we wound up getting a blueberry muffin, apple/cranberry tart and southwest quiche. You order at the counter when you walk in and then wait for your food at the table. It was very busy when we arrived, and I felt a bit rushed to make my decision and order since the line was moving very quickly. If it's your first time, I'd suggest taking one of their menus and getting a chance to really look over it. I missed their hot tea selection until I'd already ordered and have to go back to try the pomegranate mojito tea, it smelled amazing. Everything we ordered was great! Both of the people I was with aren't big fans of sweets, but ate every bite of their pastries. The tart was particularly good. The quiche I got was very scrumptious with airy, buttery eggs and a great flavor. I do wish there was a bit more green chile and a little less corn in the southwest quiche, but it was still good. Best of all was their prickly pear iced tea, which is one of the best I've had in Tucson. This is a great little breakfast spot, and right down the road from Mt. Lemmon/Sabino Canyon, so I can't wait to take out of town guests here! read more

I've been to Le Buzz a couple of times now and I have been completely satisfied every time. The food has always been delicious and definitely appears to be fresh. I have had the BLT for lunch and a Le Buzz breakfast burrito and both were so much better than I initially thought they would be. Besides that they have fresh juice, coffee, lots of stuff that's freshly baked, quiches and of course breakfast and lunch. Do yourself a favor and stop in some time soon! read more
