Great spot for a quick, casual lunch. The menu has plenty of options, the staff at the counter was helpful, and I had no problem finding a table at noon. The burrito bowl was delicious. I would absolutely go back and recommend it. read more

Loved this spot. I stopped by to treat a friend to dinner as a gift and ordered two of the Pasta Bolognese, along with a cookie and a brownie. Richard, our captain, was incredibly warm, welcoming, and gave excellent recommendations that made the experience even better. My friend had the pudding for dessert and said it was delicious. The Pasta Bolognese was rich, hearty, and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The space itself is cute, cozy, and has a charming atmosphere that's perfect for a casual meal or takeaway. A lovely experience overall. I'll definitely be back. read more

I love coming to this organic and healthy eatery, especially since you can earn points on purchases that can be redeemed for discounts and free products. You don't need to download an app, just sign up for Le Botaniste Rewards at the register before making a payment. This is the healthiest meal I can find in the Upper East Side, Manhattan. Everything is gluten free, and many items are also dairy free and soy free. Good service from the eatery staff. The place wasn't busy. Just note, there are restrooms available for customers only. My only complaint is that the tables are dirty. Other than that, I love the comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The Moroccan Veggies are delicious and healthy! The Omega 3 Brownie is to die for. On top of that, drinks come with ceramic cups and meals are served in ceramic bowls along with stainless steel utensils. read more

First & foremost, everything here is great especially the fusilli bowl & chili sin carne. On top of that, the manager Carlos is fantastic. I frequent this place one too many times throughout the week but I mean it never disappoints. Chef Priyanka is great, glad she followed her passion :). read more

This is a tough review because service was friendly and I thought my lunch (Asian noodle salad) here was good not great (the tofu was suuper salty) but the smell that the restaurant left on my hair and clothes was very very unpleasant and had incredible staying power. As a vegetarian, I was very excited to try this place. It has a fast food feel to it where you order and pay first and then take the food to your table. The staff is all very sweet and will even let you try some of the sauces/curries before ordering. I really really liked the burrito bowl, but the Asian noodles salad was on the blander side and the super seed avocado just tasted like avocado with some crunch on the outside (it also wasn't very easy to eat at all. No idea how the crisps go with the big avocado halves and the jalapeño sauce). The portions were too small for the price as well. Maybe I didn't order the best things, but from what I got, I loved the burrito bowl while the rest wasn't worth it. read more

Le Botaniste is a way overdue review. I wanted to try this place so when a friend suggested we go for lunch I was excited. Since I was eating very little I was satisfied with a meatless meal. Service was great and the atmosphere is very pleasing. I love the wall art. They sell their condiments if you want to take them home. I'm recommending and I plan to return when the weather warms up. read more

HEALTHY ORGANIC VEGAN DINNER! Many choices and options. When you are hungry, they make your dinner plate right in front of you, promptly. I got the spicy chili sin carne (was good, appropriate and not too spicy), with free range tofu, extra protein, with superseed avocado; red beet detox, healthy; jasmine green tea for a little pep, chocolate raw cake for dessert, oh so nice! A great healthy Vegan restaurant choice for the Upper East Side, Organic and convenient. I'll be back! Thank you! See pictures, worth a thousand words! Like? read more

Healthy, hearty, and flavorful! You feel like you've stepped into your eclectic grandma's kitchen and she's been testing all sorts of delicious recipes from across the world. My friends and I tried the bolognese (vegan!), the Tibetan mamma (featuring golden curry), and the samosa saag bowl (we were intrigued by the yummy looking saag!). The food is served quickly behind the counter and there's plenty of cozy seating to enjoy the meal. A unique and memorable concept! read more

I had a terrific time, at this lovely spot; it was my first visit there, and I'd definitely return. The food was delicious. And even though it was all of the healthy things (check the boxes), it tasted so delicious and left me feeling full (while also light). It seems that the illusion of not being full post super healthy fare is just that -- an illusion. Tbh, I eat heartily, and I still couldn't finish this meal in one sitting. Plus, it was affordable -- sorry to sound so granular, but their satisfying meals are a great value proposition. : ) So, both my tummy and wallet left happy. The young people who served me there were attentive and sweet, and gave me a warm welcome. Last but not least, the physical environment was nearly as nourishing as the food itself; it's an aesthetically beautiful space, in which to gather one's self, refuel and take on life again. And Lord knows, we need plenty of such spaces in busy NYC! With Thanks & Love, Katherine read more

Wow, La Botaniste is wonderful! What a joy to have so many organic, plant based options! Everything looks and smells so delicious it was hard to choose! We could not resist the triple seed avocado starter, beautifully crunchy and savory seeds surrounding perfect avocado! I had the coconut curry. The flavors were beautifully layered. I loved the veggies and kimchi--just a delicious combination of flavors. My friend had the Moroccan Stew and the flavors were warm and yummy. We shared the raw mango cake for dessert...it may look like a small piece but so flavorful that splitting it was perfectly satisfying. Lovely ambience as well, the music was enjoyable and kept a level where you can talk to your friends and enjoy the food and the vibes. Great food, lovely and friendly staff. The absolute worst. Do not go there. I placed an order online and needed to make a change. I called for 2 hours from 6:00-8:00- got a recording to call back. A vegetarian and convenient cafe, that offers various salad bowl kind of options. The spread is quite beautiful, and while I ordered the basic bowl, the option to customize was there for people with time and interest. The modest indoor seating included a few places with power outlets. I could discern no rest room (I never know what's going on in New York; anywhere else the idea of a bathroom-free eatery is bizarre). My bowl was light and delicious, a needed contrast to the indulgences the city has to offer, though I will say their seed-encrusted avocado adds substance. A green tea on the side was suitably vegetal in taste. It wasn't packed, but even in the middle afternoon was well attended. The desserts and other options are likely well worth the money, and another location of this place lies further downtown. Many of the trendy vegetarian restaurants around the city are hard to get into with the hours and the reservations, but this one was both high quality and practical for my needs. read more

Had the brown rice & Curry today with falafel and the coconut sour cream and it was all delicious. The perfect, nutrient-dense lunch on the go! read more

The food and offering is decent, however on our first visit we ordered a burrito bowl. We asked for sour cream and turmeric onions, unknowingly this was extra $2.50 per item. At no point were we told that those items were an added cost, let alone $2.50 each. When we commented at check out, no apologies, no offer to do the right thing given this was not communicated. The absolute greed continued though. They offered us a loyalty stamp card, we asked for the stamp for this order, but no, you don't get a stamp until you come in a second time. After being ripped off for onions and sour cream, there will not be a second time. NYC prices can be wild sometimes, but this is next level. read more

Tbh I wouldn't suggest le botaniste. I got the falafel and green tea and everything was very flavorless. The store and aesthetics of the place was very beautiful and homey, but it felt more like a clothing store than a food store. I felt like I was going to go shopping for clothes or furniture than eat at a place. The customer service was ok, they weren't all that chatty and just did their job. Overall, this place felt very sterile and not a food place. Their food could use a lot more flavoring for sure. The portion size was alright and the pricing was moderate. It's a little bit on the pricey side. Price:$11.98 Rating: 3/10 read more

Le botaniste is superably delicious. For the cost of hardly more than a full meal at McDonald's, here you can get real food, tasty and nutritious--leaving you with the feeling of healthy fullness rather than a greasy bloating. My highest recommendation! And you don't need a tuxedo here to come and eat like a king. There's some outside seating on a Sunday afternoon to watch Lexington Avenue go by; more seating inside, with extra seats in the back. Carlos, the manager, is friendly and informative, willing to share recipe ingredients and personal stories of why good food is so important (like you didn't know this?)! read more

I was so excited to finally try this place! Staff greeted me as soon as I entered and was very warm. They reviewed the full food and wine menu with me. What a find! We just stumbled upon this hidden gem. We were warmly welcomed by all the staff who were polite, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about presenting their menu and seasonal specials. The place is very homey and cute. We went with their recommendations and enjoyed every morsel. We asked if they used seed oils in their preparation. It was comforting to know they make their recipes with olive oil including the hummus and hot dishes. They're very transparent and willing to explain everything about their ingredients and how what goes into each dish. We had one of the wellness homemade juice drinks and for dessert the chocolate and raspberry raw cakes. Only disappointments was that this location doesn't serve the adaptogenic lattes and you have to pay for filtered water, unlike Trufood kitchen that serves filtered water to all customers. Other than these trivial wishes, it was overall a great visit from beginning to end! read more

My second time visiting this location. The ambiance is romantic and industrial. The back sunroom/skyroom is a nice touch. The menu does change sometimes, which is vegan/vegetarian, but has usual staples among an organic wine selection. Food always served hot and with fresh ingredients. I ordered the saag bota, Indian dish of spinach and chickpeas boiled in seasoning. Served with brown rice and I believe it was pumpkin or squash, their signature hummus with crispy grain bread. Every item ate was layers of flavors and rich taste. The chefs need to be praised for sure making vegan meals have worldly flavors. Furthermore, the raspberry raw cake was spectacular. The right size for dessert after a meal. The raspberry filling and frozen custard purée had light sweetness. Reminded me of a summer tart. All and all this is a great location for lunch, dates, group dinners, etc... I just wish the staff had better costumer service. The store associate put my dessert on a drink cap, for aesthetic and better eating experience, always have a small dine in/to go plate for petite dessert. Felt like I was rushed when it wasn't busy at all. Have employees be mindful of their service educate. Want to match the vibe, given this semi premium conglomerate. Otherwise still great eatery. read more

This is one of my favorite healthy restaurants in the city! The Tibetan Mama is a classic, but usually I opt for the Spicy Chili and ask for extra sour cream. I don't like vegetarian food but this is one of the exceptions. Food was great and would love to come back again.

I went here for lunch bc with my friend. I wasn't sure what to expect as the restaurant is fully vegan. I eat meat and fish hut so like to go vegan/vegetarian occasionally. Well, let me tell you, I have been dreaming about going back ever since. The restaurant is kind of like a Panera style. You order at the counter and pay and then grab a seat or take out. We grabbed a seat in the back. I ordered the Tibetan Mama as it was highly recommended by one of the workers. My friend got an autumn bowl that had avocado and Jack fruit. We both enjoyed our dishes. I definitely want to go back to try my friends. The service was good. The staff was very friendly and was able to describe the menu options well. Can't wait to go back!!! read more

Ooooohhh yum vegan eats. Yelp pics don't do it justice. Loved the Botanical salad. Base greens are real basic and could use an upgrade, but it comes topped with half an avocado that is crusted with crunchy seeds and quinoa. The bowl is also piled with fresh pea sprouts, thin spirals of carrots, pickled veg, and sauerkraut. Nice, light dressing. Sample of spreads in the mezze plate was also very good. Not a fan of the flavorless gluten free crackers, but the spreads were really tasty- each one unique. My faves were the sweet green pea spread and coconut "ceviche" but the bright yellow hummus was also good as well as the one that looked like tuna salad... but was veg friendly. Nice option for a fast, healthy meal. Would come back! read more
