We went to Felice for dinner before heading over to watch the Knicks game with fellow New Yorkers at PJ Clarke's during the NBA Finals, and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. We sat outside and decided to split the salmon entrée--and we're glad we did. The portion was enormous and easily enough for two people. The dish was described as roasted salmon skewers, although I didn't actually see any skewers. Regardless, the salmon was perfectly cooked and served over a flavorful medley of vegetables including pan-fried zucchini, roasted eggplant, tomatoes, string beans, green peas, asparagus, fava beans, pearl onions, parsley, and basil. A nice touch was the complimentary bread and olive oil that our waitress brought to the table before the meal. The service throughout the evening was attentive and friendly. Felice has a beautiful, inviting atmosphere and is inspired by Tuscan cuisine. As the original Felice location, it has been around for more than 15 years and offers both comfortable indoor seating and a lovely outdoor dining area. It was the perfect spot for a relaxed dinner before a fun evening of basketball, camaraderie, and cheering on the Knicks. My only issue is that it is a bit pricey. For that, I was glad I split the dish with my friend! The food, service, and ambiance all made for a terrific experience. The restaurant was totally inflexible about making even the slightest change to any menu item. What happened to pleasing the diner? To add insult to injury, the service, the food delivery, and getting the check were all VERY SLOW. You'd think since they do not allow any substitutions and the restaurant is very small, you would get your meal fairly promptly. This was not the case. And the meal was mediocre at best. I will never be a repeat diner to any Felice location. My advice, go somewhere else where they care about making the customer happy. Don't make the mistake we did. read more

We had Branzino which was carefully wrapped in paper, and packed with delicious moist fish and potatoes, olives, tomato, and more. Absolutely stunning presentation and flavors. We also had the Fettucini Bolognese, which was extraordinary. The Arancini were very small for $19, and not very "Italian" tasting, but they had their own style and flavor profile, with a ton of deep cheesy flavors and a light pesto lemon dipping sauce. I asked for a side of tomato sauce. I thought it would naturally come with it. Abundance of delicious homemade bread, was brought o our table. I also loved the ambiance of this restaurant. This location has been in the neighborhood for the ten years I've been here and it's consistently good. The pasta is homemade and the service is excellent. If there's an Achilles heel it's the same for most places today and that's value for the dollar. It's hard to go out as even a party of two now and not drop over $100 before tax, tip, and not including cocktails. It's true...we had the burrata salad (shared), each had a pasta, and shared a dessert...$100 on the nose. No drinks, apps, mains, etc. It's reality but it makes fantastic places like this an occasional luxury rather than a regular night out, at least for us. read more

Goodness gracious, I thought I had updated my review from 8 years ago, but apparently I must have only updated the review in my head...LOL...So, if you are thinking about dining here, I'd say it's a definite YES!!! I love the homemade pasta, so I'll always ask if this particular pasta I might be thinking of ordering is homemade. I've had the tagliatelle with mushrooms, and right now, I can't recall the last pasta I had, but I can tell you anything I've had, in terms of pasta, has been quite delicious. The last time I was here at Felice, with a friend, I decided to have dessert after my pasta, so I specifically asked if the cheesecake was Italian Cheesecake, which is made with ricotta cheese, instead of cream cheese, like New York cheesecake, and the Italian cheesecake can have a texture that is a little grain-y, in the best way. The male server said yes, that it was Italian cheesecake. But, alas, upon arrival, my friend and I looked at each other, and I said, this looks like regular cheesecake, so I tasted it, and it was NOT Italian cheesecake. And since that was the only cheesecake I felt like eating, I sent the cheesecake back. I would expect a restaurant to know the difference between these two types of cheesecakes. Bottom line--there is good eating to be had here. Now, I've been told by my neighbors that the wines are very nice here, and that the owners have a winery in Italy. I had an event on the upper east side, and found this place nearby. Made reservations ( it filled up rather quickly on a Wednesday! It was just a cute ambiance! Cozy atmosphere. The waitress was amazing. They had CYNAR, and it was the best spritz I've had yet far! I ordered the salmon with a side of potatoes ( I realized after my salmon had a whipped potato underneath. I've been itching to come for here for a while so when we finally made it, I was very excited. It wasn't too busy yet so we had great service by everyone. We started with the rice balls which were amazing. We both got pasta dishes, mine was with salmon, both smoked and not. The smoke kind of threw me off at first but it was still good. This place was phenomenal. I was craving Carbonara hard and with my gluten allergy needed a place that would take care not to get me sick. From the moment we walked in the staff was joking around having a good time and made us feel like part of their big Italian family.
