This was, hands down, the greatest overall dining experience of my life. The owner, Rick, was a joy to talk with. He should be very proud of what he has built here. The six course meal was outstanding, each course was better than the last. The beef tangine literally melted in my mouth. And I emphasize the word "Literally", my mouth has never had a better experience with beef. We live in Kihei and when we heard there is a Moroccan restaurant so we jump to take a visit. They have a pre fix menu for $90 consist of 5 course.The lentil soup was very flavorful with hint of mint harissa herb's refreshing and generous portion. This was followed by a shared plate for 4 person of babaganoush butter nuts carrots and egg plants. Very tasty and generous. This was followed by the b'stella a phylo pastry filled with five chicken and almond consider amouse boucheOur entree consisting of lamb tagine with prune very savory with generous portion served with generous amount of vegetables and couscous potatoes carrots. Dessert consists of almond cookies almond paste cookies and Moroccan biscotti serve with rose water sweet tea delightful. We were entertained with a belly dancer and it was fun. I would highly recommend to give it a try if you want a different cuisine in Maui. Service was spectacular and attentive. I noticed this place one day in the Azeka shopping center and looked inside to an interior that was begging for a picture. There is no other restaurant on Maui like this. I made my reservation via OpenTable. Upon arrival, Rick, the owner, was telling me that the furniture was imported from Morocco. One of the cool concepts behind the restaurant is that you can buy traditional garments and gift items. This is why they call it "Le Bazaar" aka "The Market". This is not just a place to eat but an entire experience. It's a prefix menu that introduces you to some of the country's most popular dishes. I was so surprised that there was even a belly dancer in the middle of my meal. I came on a good night because it wasn't incredibly busy and Rick, the owner, struck up conversation with me. His hospitality was so genuine and he was truly appreciative to have me as a customer. He even took me to the back to show me where they prepare the food and even some dishes they were test piloting for a future menu. This experience was so memorable and I feel is one of the most unique culinary experiences on Maui. I highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions or if you want to get an education on the Moroccan cuisine! read more

It was a different kind of dining experience as I found myself immersed into Moroccan cuisine. It was my first time to eat there and the staff gave an exemplary service! The vibe of the restaurant gave me a relaxing feeling. My personal favorite was the lentil soup. It was the perfect blend of spices! They also have vegan options. My wife and I had a lovely dinner/experience here last night. The food was delicious, the space transports you to a different world, which is saying something for a location at Aseka (makai). Service was impeccable; friendly and genuine. When you're visiting Maui it's easy to find good things to eat, but when you live here the choices are mostly predictable (and we've tried most) . When a jewel like this comes along, it's a refreshing treat. Bonus points for Times supermarket around the corner so wine--which Le Bazaar--doesn't serve, is easily available. As we walked through the doors of Le Bazaar, or should I say time portal, my wife and I were instantly transported to Morocco! The decor inside made us feel as if we left Maui, but never needed a passport, and were not entering a country illegally.... (Joke) We were greeted by one of the owners, Rick, who's smile and kindness were instantly felt by us. Rick is warm hearted, and treated us as if we were family. His kindness is genuine, not an act, and you can instantly feel his positive energy. Next, Rick guided us to our table where we became comfortable. Within seconds, our server, Ailen greeted us with a smile and poured water on our hands to cleanse them, and explained this a Moroccan custom. We brought our own wine and appreciated their BYOB policy. Next, Rick took my wife and I to a back room location where we had an opportunity to change into traditional Moroccan clothing before we embarked on a fabulous dinner experience. Another server, named Edwin, introduced himself, and sparked up a memorable and intellectual conversation with us. Le Bazaar has a Pre-Fixe menu, which included 6 courses! The generous amount of food they serve for the price, is an amazing value! I really like their approach to this, versus an a la carte menu, because you can experience so much variety of food, especially if you've never had Moroccan food before. If I could describe the flavors of the food we experienced in one word, it would be "divine!" As we were enjoying our meal, time literally stopped, as a highly skilled belly dancer named Isa, started dancing to high energy middle eastern music to entertain the audience. Shortly thereafter, the entire restaurant stood up and was clapping and dancing. Eating here is like escaping to Morocco for the duration of your six course meal. And, thanks to racks of traditional robes, you even get to play, dress-up, too! The food, of which there was enough for a whole second meal, is flavorful and beautifully presented by friendly and attentive staff. Although we've eaten a great deal of Middle Eastern food, I'm not sure we've ever had Moroccan, so we can't speak to the authenticity. But we very much enjoyed it. Oh, and there's a belly dancer! A note: This year old restaurant does not have a liquor license but will happily serve whatever you bring without charging a corkage fee. read more

What an amazing experience! This restaurant is truly one of a kind and I can't believe it's right here on Maui! From being greeted at the entrance with an orange blossom hand wash, to being able to wear traditional Moroccan clothing, watch live belly dancing from our table and eat delicious Moroccan food with our hands, this restaurant goes above and beyond to make you feel as if you really are in Morocco! I won't lie, when I first took a peak at the menu, I was weary of what I was about to eat. But to my surprise, everything was exceptional. Our table was able to try all entrees from the prefixed menu. The lamb was amazingly soft and the chicken had a lot of flavor. We also had the fish as well which we thought was ok compared to the other dishes. The hospitality of this place is like no other. Visiting maui for only a few days, and I am so so glad I found this gem! My husband and I were looking for a date night spot, and this place was perfect. they have 2 seating times, 5pm and 7pm. I made reservations on Open Table. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly seated . aladdin came and washed our hands with an orange blossom water (my hands smelled so good!). My attentive server explained the prix fixe menu and also that we have the option to dress up in Morrocan attire to get the full experience. I love dressing up! Staff even offered to take my photo in the attire. each of the 6 courses that came out were explained to us , on the ingredients and how to eat (you can eat with only your hands if you like). The dishes were all new to me, but they were all delicious . In the middle of our meal, a belly dancer performs and also engages with the patrons. You end the meal with traditional Moroccan mint tea (tea is poured from a high distance) with some sweet snacks. It was such a wonderful experience and I really felt like i was transported to Morocco. I think the entire experience is well worth the price tag of $89 per person.
