Went there Friday night with 2 friends for drinks The restaurant was mobbed and the music was blasting I ordered 3 drinks but waited 20 minutes. I complained to the bartender. 2 minutes later we had our drinks and most importantly the manager apologized and said the drinks were no charge. Resturant has a nice vibe . I suggest you do not order the eggplant appetizer. For $ 32.00 you receive one piece of eggplant in a small creme brule dish topped off with burnt cheese. Le Bar a Vin is an absolutely beautiful place. I walk past it almost every day and I scratch my head why it's rarely ever crowded (while all other nearby places are crowded seven nights a week). While waiting for our table at BrickTops across the street, we decided to check it out for a drink. The drink and the bartender were both great. We were the only people in the place even though it was prime time. Our experience was good but for whatever reason the place just doesn't draw. I had discovered Le Bar a Vin from my Yelp searching for a restaurant to take my wife for our dating anniversary (yes, we celebrate those too). Le Bar looked promising, so we gave the place the ok' college try. Overall, their cocktails are grande, their charcuterie board and dessert are solid, and the ambiance and service are lovely. But the intimately-lit dining spot is better served as a bar to enjoy drinks and small bites than a full dinner. Initially, the expectation from what I had seen on the website was that the dinner menu had some ample options for entrees. Ultimately, the menu only offered three dinner entrees -- The Chicken (Yes, that was the name of the dish), the fish of the day, and Australian wagyu steak. My wife ordered the gluten-free fish -- and delicious may I add as she let me try some, I decided on The Chicken. While The Chicken did fill me up (comprising of a quarter chicken), it wasn't quite satisfying -- the $32 price tag (even if common for Palm Beach restaurants) I couldn't justify ordering again. Now, suppose you go there intending to have some expensive tapas and cocktails -- all meticulously made to deliciousness -- at their bar area. In that case, the experience will be more to your satisfaction. And they prepare and make their cocktails incredibly well. The St. Tropez and the Invisible Margarita are the obvious standouts -- the latter requires 24 hours by the bar to make the mixture and worth every drop you drink. The Fromage, three-cheese selection was excellent, with a lovely array of cheeses served with creamed honey, berry compote, and apricot spread -- I enjoyed the sourdough bread slices since my wife couldn't due to her having Celiacs. Additionally, if you have a sweet tooth, the Chocolate Mousse Crunch Cake is delightful and to die for enjoying. I could have just gone to Le Bar for that and been happy. As part of the Palm Beach scene, Le Bar is great for bringing a date or some friends to the Island for drinks. Indeed, it is a good Friday night spot if you want a place that's sophisticated and stylish, with cocktails to match. read more

Techno DJ sucks, they should find someone better and more in line with 2024 DJ music standards. Wine is overpriced even for the island. I am obsessed with this place, I cannot wait to come back! I arrived around 8pm on a Wednesday evening to fantastic live music, a fun crowd, friendly staff, and an amazing vibe. I felt like I was in East Hampton on a Saturday night in August - people were out in their best attire and ready to have a good time. The band was incredible. They got the crowd signing and dancing, and smiling the whole night. I loved how intimate the place was - it felt like everyone in the bar area was friendly, and game for a fun night. They were bringing sparklers out for people's birthdays and even the wait staff had a great attitude and a smile on their face. This is what is wrong with Palm Beach cocktail culture. It is about patrons who don't know what they are asking for, served by bartenders who don't know what they are serving, the former willing to pay good money to be seen paying good money for an inferior cocktail. I went in coming from New Orleans, asking if they could make me a Sazerac. 'I don't know how to make one' would have been a perfectly acceptable answer. Instead, the bartender nodded and proceeded to make me a terribly over-sweet Old Fashioned straight with the soda gun. Winching while I watched him make it, I asked, "Is there any herbsaint or absinthe in your Sazerac?" to which he answered, "We don't have any, do you want something else?" I tasted it and it was a horribly over-sweetened take on an Old Fashioned, and said "No, don't worry about it", knowing anything else he would make would also be substandard. My next round was a straight pour of Teeling, so a word to the wise, do not go here if you know what a well crafted cocktail should taste like, because you are going to get a club drink at a craft price point. That being said, there was a blonde woman who was quite attentive, and was the only person cleaning everyone else's stations, while serving her patrons, so perhaps she is the go to bartender in this shift? read more

We went for the first time to this location. We are Palm Beachers. We sat on a couch for 20 minutes. Having a glass of champagne. A big party came in and our manager Peter. Ask us to move now. He pretty much threw us out to get the big party seated. Even thought they were no reservations card or anything on the table. He didn't care about anything else. Very very unprofessional, very very rude. Never apologized. Never seen anything like it in Palm Beach. He has no idea of where he is working. This is a small family Island. We all know each other. Excellent experience! It was our first time dining at Le Bar. The service was exceptional. Not only did the manager go above and beyond to cater to my requests (it was my cousin's birthday) but he even did a personalized menu in her honor with cute custom drinks and her name listed at the top! I think the last time I had a meal this bad was over ten years ago and it was at an Outback Steakhouse, and that's insulting to Outback Steakhouse. Horrible is too kind a word. Didn't know you could get food so awful in Palm Beach. $36 for the fish and two sides and you expect the fish to be edible but pretty worried for my safety with this fish, not to mention it tasted terrible. I can't even describe the texture of the fish. I had two bites and thought it would give me food poisoning. My "wild mushrooms" were baked button mushrooms from Publix with no flavor. The fingerling potato's were very burnt on the outside but hard on the inside, again no flavor. The flatbreads were just terrible. The hostess was really great so that's why the two star review as opposed to one but man the food was awful. And if you aren't ordering from the real expensive sommelier wine list (min ~$35 by the glass?) don't bother getting wine. Won't be coming back Update: I started writing this as we were waiting for the bill over an hour ago. I'm still here with no bill. So the service is also terrible. I try not to dump on businesses especially now when Covid has devastated the service industry but this place needed me to take a few minutes of my time and highlight some of their " inefficiencies" and " failings". What seemed like a great idea as my wife said " let's check out this bar I've been meaning to visit for a while, so we did. The decor is nice and wait staff seem great for their part with a atmosphere in the bar kind of faux chic with a splash of chill. This was however not the problem, we ordered drinks, Old Fashioned for my Mrs' and a Single Malt for me; single cube! Alas downhill it went, drinks returned with a literal single Cube in my single malt; my wife's old fashioned was a glass full of ice and maybe old fashion mix; San garnishes, or anything else. Curios I asked the server whether they had the bourbon spheres for my wifes' drink and the Whiskey rocks for my single malt, he apologized and said they didn't. My wife and I looked at each other and tried to deduce how on planet "Palm beach island" this was possible, any way I tasted my drink albeit reluctantly as my wife did the same, I think we arrived at the same conclusion, this wouldn't fly, I called the server over and asked for the check and told him sorry it's sacrilege to drink my whiskey this way and unforgivable that they made my wife's old fashion and flooded it with ice cubes! He again apologized and brought the check; enter manager!! What's the issue he says I hear you're not happy (repeat everything above I'm not typing all that again lol) he explained that the drinks were comped and sorry, I let him know that that wasn't the idea I'm paying for my drinks I just don't want them the way they were presented and that's ok it's my choice not to drink it, I was told in no uncertain terms that the ice came from a $20000 ice machine that makes Ice at a higher density to melt ratio making it better than what I described (Me rolling on the floor laughing in disbelief) we excused him and asked the server to please bill us what we ordered so we could tip him and apologize for having to take the avalanche of complaints for the $20000 I've machine lol, he said he couldn't but would bill an espresso for $5 and we tipped him $50 as a F U to the manager! Last winter I wondered into LeBar to see what this new place was about. It's a beautifully well appointed bar and space. It was the staff however, which made the experience one I wanted to repeat. The warm welcoming vibe is that of a private club, which is not easy to find just anywhere. Roberto, Brett & Johnny were and continue to be incredible assets to the Le Bar experience. Eventually Katelin joined the team, which then brought LeBar up to a whole next level. Expert mixologist and friendly personality, who's style adds immeasurable class to L'experience! Adam Lipson, East Coast DJ extraordinaire, has brought the music at LeBar up to it's full on party potential. He, Oleg and most recently Wayne, bring the guests to happy movement on the dance floor and throughout. Not impressed with the service at Le Bar. After receiving our drinks, the waitress seemed to "disappear".  had to ask another waitress to find her, instead she took our order - that was nice.  Food came out and the kitchen server drifted around to a few different tables before finding us.  Once the check came,  we felt rushed to pay.  The manager came to take the check and process it and the waitress returned with our receipt.  Just a few minutes after finishing the last sip of our drinks, the manager came by and told us he needed the table for a reservation. He was very abrupt.  There was no "excuse me" or " I'm sorry, but..".  I found this extremely rude.  If you plan on visiting Le Bar, you might want to think twice. Fantastic bar! I went by myself and sat at the bar, wonderful service by the manager and staff. The bartenders were open and bubbly especially since I was alone, they made me feel very welcome. I order the tuna tartar which came out quickly. It was absolutely divine, I will be ordering it again! It also came with some crostinis which paired well. They have many handcrafted cocktails to choose from. The bartenders are very helpful if you are unsure of what you will like. The invisible margarita was especially good! They made my drink right away! They also had live music playing and complimentary valet parking available. Overall the atmosphere was upscale but welcoming. I would definitely bring my friends or colleagues here or come for a big dinner as they have plenty of tables as well. Definitely recommend trying this restaurant/bar if you are in the West Palm area. read more

This place was fantastic! They took a large group of us late at night with no reservation and treated us like family. The manager (I think) greeted us like friends and immediately took care of us with prompt service for a needy group. Absolute professionalism displayed in the Covid environment, it ensured we had a great time. The espresso martini was fantastic and the gold rush literally makes me want to party! 2 Stars may be a little harsh and I am open to revising, but it has now been a couple of days since we dined at this restaurant and I am still left with a bad feeling. The food was decent and the staff were friendly enough at first. When the bill came there was an "up charge" for olives in my martini. Seriously? I have had martinis all over the world and have never been charged more for the garnish. I didn't ask for extra olives or anything like that. I personally hate add on charges. If you want to charge me close to $25 for a martini just say that's the price. At a nice place I will just pay. Don't try to sneak the price up with added chargers. It feels dishonest. There were other up charges on the bill that were low and seemingly meaningless, but annoying. I am researching those as the staff insisted they were "industry standard". Otherwise - the venue atmosphere was just fine for the area. The service was timely and we were happy to get a table since the restaurant across the street was completely full. The deserts were made locally and dropped off at the restaurant and were very good. Perhaps the hospitality industry is changing, but in this area and with the age of the clientele I would think the old fashioned "customer is always right" attitude would go a long way. read more
