I do not live anywhere close to a store that carries LDS products so have to rely on online service. I have ordered several times with both LDS Bookstore and their major competitor. The MAIN difference is customer service. There is no direct way to contact them and they are only available by text for 5 hours a day M-F! 10-3. This last order will be my last. I ordered a product that is not customized three weeks ago and it is still not here. They advertise that they usually ship 3-4 business days after the order is complete. I have not been able to reach them by text this time. In the past when I did reach them, the woman bordered on rude. She was curt and basically blamed me for their error. I gave them a second chance but they still did not pass. It's a shame. They have lovely products. read more

Very Helpful - they even went back to their warehouse to check inventory. The prices tend to be cheaper than most of the other LDS sites. Only problem is the hours 9am-3pm (or4 pm, depending on where you're looking) Monday-Friday only. Saturday for a few hours might be night for those who can not get to the store during daytime on weekdays. But I realize it is a specialty store and help is not easy to come by these days. They have the absolute worst customer service, I asked ahead of time if I can get the product according to the timeline I needed it and they took no ownership or responsibility at all for the issue. Ordered something for my son in MTC. Website said next day delivery, nothing was delivered that I know. Two days later still no email saying they are processing order and still no delivery date. Called their toll free number and no one answers. I had to leave a message. I wonder if this is a real business. Update: they called me back saying one item (Oreos) was not in stock and they would get it today and then deliver to my son. I am glad they called back, but they need to keep their word on same day or next day delivery. read more

I recently ordered 4 missionary plaques for my ward. The listing for these plaques says it should take 12-15 business days to ship. My order took over 30 business days to ship (and 48 days total from when I placed my order to receiving them). When they finally came, they had completely forgotten to add the picture to one of the plaques. Throughout this time, I sent multiple emails inquiring about the status of my order and received multiple emails telling me my order was almost done, but with no promise of when. Once I had received shipping confirmation and before receiving the plaques I asked if they would offer any discount towards future orders and was offered 15% off of a future order. When I discovered that the one plaque was missing a picture, I emailed again and just asked that at the very least that they would do expedited shipping for the picture, which they did not do, instead choosing 7-10 day shipping. I will happily find somewhere else to make these plaques in the future. read more

If I could give this no stars instead of 1, I would. I've been trying to get ahold of their customer service for a few weeks now. For multiple days, they were in a business meeting. I received no responses back through email (even though they emailed me first and specifically said to respond to the email), no one answers their phone, and no one gets back to my voicemails. Ordered a necklace online the middle of July because it stated that they were in stock and would be delivered in 2-3 days. A week later after they have already taken our money they said they were out of stock and they will email us when they ship it. Here we are in the next month and nothing. I have told them that they need to fix there website and be honest and put out on stock on there items that are not in so people will not be in the same boat I am in. Really nice people, great service. Nice little shop, only waited a couple minutes to be helped. They have beautiful pictures, and a lot of little things, like rings, figurines, etc. Offer MTC same day delivery, which is awesome! As well as good prices for shipping, boxes, etc. They also have little care packages you can have sent the the MTC. read more

Avoid this business! Do not believe the shipping times on their website. These people take orders for items that are not in stock, yet the website says things will ship within 1-2 days. Several days after you place your order, and think it is on it's way, you will receive an email that "there has been a delay of 4-8 business days." When you call, you will find many of the things you ordered are not in stock. Save yourself the frustration, and order from Amazon, even if it costs more. At least they ship in a timely fashion, and have accurate inventory levels. Why are ldsbookstore.com taking orders for things that are not in stock? That's no way to run a business, leaving customers to wait and wait until something ships. Every time you call, the shipping date is "a few more days." I would rather know before I order that they do not have the product in stock, then find out 2-3 days after they have my money. read more
