I took some time to browse through the selection of records and CDs, but I found the pricing to be quite unreasonable. It seemed apparent that the store is taking advantage of younger collectors by significantly inflating prices. After a brief conversation with a bearded staff member, it became clear that this place operates more like an eBay reselling venture bummer i think, oh and ill add that he yelled at me for touching a display!

If you get the chance to talk with him, he's incredibly nice and knowledgeable. Don't mistake his quiet demeanor for being an ahole. Some of us are more introverted than others. I was just ripped off. They sell records hade like amateurs. I will never be coming back here…read morebecause today they ripped me off. The Sales clerk Mateo told me that anything which did not have their price sticker on it was a dollar. I spent well over an hour digging through the dollar bins. When I was making a final sort through a pile of 80 or so records they then informed me that they would now be $2 per record. After 10 minutes of conversation they then agreed to go back to the original dollar price. Upon check out they still overcharge me. After the sale was complete they told me that that Price stickers from old record shops also now counted and were more expensive than one dollar. They rip me off about 20 bucks. Not even worth arguing any further. Avoid this shop. Additionally earlier as I I dug through all of their records pulling out records I was interested in they kept wanting to grab them and move them to the counter.

The people are friendly and sincere, and the selection constantly changes. We enjoy bringing our young grandson here, it's like a museum to him. Only two "cons" to mention: 1. Some of the vendors are very sloppy about how they display their items. In some booths, DVDs and CDs are buried on the floor behind other items. Which means squatting down and digging to find anything. And for seniors and the disabled that's easier said than done. It's not the fault of the staff of course, and they'll always help. Requiring vendors to make items like that more accessible and closer to eye level would be a good start. 2. It's hot inside on hot days, and I know the staff feels it too. But in chatting with one of them this last time she mentioned that the owner is putting in central air, so that should improve. It's an easy way to spend a whole afternoon browsing there-- give yourself time, it's worth it!

The…read morelocation sprawls across two large warehouses with a little open outdoor space between them and the parking is easy and right off the freeway. I make sure to stop by every couple of months to see what new items they have in store. I try to buy second hand the best I can and have been able to find some great pieces here, from gifts to home decor. The workers have been friendly and there can be some killer deals too. There's a little bit for everyone here! Just a note: they still have some up covid protocols up like the arrows on the floor and the mask signs but no one follows them. Also, with outdoor section the weather has really given a beating on the items out there.

FYE's website is hopeless, but the stores have made the transition from more traditional…read moregames/movies/music into more or less just vinyl, smatterings of DVDs, but mostly a pop culture themed store. There is a ton of Japanese imported food and drinks here, much of it exclusive to FYE, lots of action figures and related stuff, quite a few different t-shirts, bowls, cups, just a huge embrace of various elements of pop culture, both American, mostly horror, and Japanese (ranges a lot). If they're going to do it, selection is going to be important and they do very well on this side. I can't say it's a wholly welcome change, for me, anyway, but they're doing a pretty solid job leaning into it...for the few stores that are left, anyway.
