Horrible company. I bought my daughter a bracelet maker that looked pretty cool and cost $50. She opened it for Christmas and it was rip off piece of junk. Just a plastic tray and that's it. You watch YouTube videos to see how to actually make the bracelets which she can do without the $50 piece of junk. This place has gotten a pretty bad wrap! I sat and wandered around, for several hours, while waiting for my idol, Jen Sincero, to arrive, for her book signing. The people who greeted me, at the door were kind. The customer service peeps were kind. All if the Café employees even handed out samples, on top of being so kind. I was even told that all of these famous authors go hit up that particular B&N, when they're in town! You can't beat that! This is a great store! You'll enjoy your time here. xx read more

I've been going to this Barnes and Noble for many years and it's always been good. Selection is great, it's clean. Only complaint I guess would be that the normal bathrooms appeared to be closed and there was just one "family bathroom" when we were there. read more

I like perusing in book stores hoping to discover something unexpected, and I always do at B&N. My favorite area is where they have the children's book; however, because my youngest is already 10 we are spending more time looking at YA lit. I like how B&N is well organized and if you can't find something there's usually a helpful employee around. Why only three stars then? Because, they don't always have the specific book I'm looking for. They offer to order it but I go to a brick and mortar book store to get my book right away. But, that's not all...the women's bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The floors were very wet and dirty. The garbage can was over flowing and there was garbage on the floor. I don't need to go into more details but I was very vigilant to not touch any surfaces. But, wait, there's more. For whatever reason, I happened to look up and the ceiling panels had terrible water stains. A stark contrast to the meat organization of the store. I'm glad we have this great book store in UT County but it needs some major TLC. read more

Pretty good selection for the size of the store. I've gone here many times over the 6 years I've spent in Utah and only a few times did they not have a book in stock that I was looking for. Considering there are two large universities that feed into this store, I'd want it to be bigger and have more seating for studying. The staff is helpful when asked, which I like because I hate feeling like I'm having someone be in-genuine in tier interest in my wants or needs while shopping. read more

What kind of store doesn't price match anymore? "Girl Wash your face" was five dollars cheaper to buy online on THEIR website and pick up in the store vs walking in and picking up the book off the shelf,myself. You're telling me I have to pay more when I'm the one picking up the book? When I asked the associate he said that they don't price match from their online price because of their shipping costs. I'm sorry but that doesn't even make sense to me. Then he proceeds to try to sell me on the $25 membership to save $2 after spending $23 on the annual membership. My least favorite B&N I've ever been to. Why? There's no where to sit and look through some of the books/magazines you're interested in, nor are their electrical outlets you could use to charge your laptop. The only reason I'd come here is if I were on a date and wanted to use the variety of the books they have on display as a conversation starter, or if I REALLY needed a certain popular book right then and now and was willing to pay twice as much as what I would be charged on Amazon. read more

This store sucks! I just can't believe how stupid the management is and how expensive everything is there. DVD's: $39.99 for the Proposal. Seriously?!? Why do people shop there? Do they enjoy burning their money? On amazon you could buy 4 DVDs (or more) for that price. I had to return a CD I got as a Christmas gift, so I waited in line. Then they told me I had to go to the Music section to return it. I went to the music section and they had to call the management from the area I just came from to approve the return. A few years ago, I also had to return a book that was a gift. I wanted to exchange it for the hardcover version. I had to special order it and they said they would call me when it came in. No phone call. I eventually called them and they said it came in. I went to exchange it and they wouldn't do it because the book was supposedly categorized as a textbook and had to be exchanged within 10 days of purchase. I would have come in within 10 days had they called me and if I had known they would not allow me to exchange it. The manager was a *!&%(# and wouldn't do anything to remedy the situation. I like this store for the most part. The staff have been pretty helpful to me in the past. They will lead me straight to the book I'm looking for most of the time. I do think that the way some of the books are arranged can be a little odd bit most of the time it's not a big deal because they help me find it. The problem arises when they are busy and there are lots if people asking for help. This results in some wait time but again not a big deal. The plus is my favorite author drops in from time to time and signs his books so one of these days I'm hoping I'll find one of those! Overall not a bad store. They will help me order books too if they aren't in Stock which I like and appreciate. read more

I made a Yelp account just to write this much-needed review. The Starbucks in this Barnes and Noble is one of the WORST places I've had the displeasure of ordering from. First, the drinks took a while to make, and when I tried my Caramel Frappachino, it wasn't even 0.01% coffee. It was just a sugary little pile of broken dreams and sadness. I'm sure I got diabetes from sipping it. The bookstore is good, but please, for the love of God, never order ANYthing coffee-related at the indoor Starbucks. We just love Barnes & Noble. This one is no exception. Very good customer service overall. We love to go have coffee and sometimes a bit to go with it. We like the atmosphere and service better than at the big chains. Their seating is more pleasant and if we get bored we get to browse the store. We always feel welcome. read more

Associate was able to help me order a book when they didn't have it. Tried to ask a different associate a question and was rude. Didn't make eye contact with me. Continued aligning books and asked me to move out of her way. Asked third associate same question and also was rude to me. Overall, associates are not pleasant or very focused on customer service. I usually love going to Barnes and Noble and have never had any problems. However, this was my first time shopping at this location and it was a little disappointing. The costumer service was absolutely terrible. I had to ask 3 different people for help before finally finding someone who was willing to help. One employee literally said she could not help me without even knowing what my concern was. When I finally got help, the girl wasn't very kind and was short with me. I'd give them a zero if it was possible. I purchased several books as a birthday gift through BN online. In the meantime, my wife purchased the books on her own and I needed to make a return. No problem I thought...I had the receipt and they were still in the box that said Barnes & Noble on the side. Nope. Sorry sir but we can only accept returns up to 14 days after they were purchased. Spoke to a manager, nope. Not even a store credit. It's not like these books were outdated. They had a display of them as you walked in the store selling the exact same titles! I enjoy almost nothing more than a good book and a good drink. I love going to Barnes and Noble perusing the selection and drinking some coffee. I know that they are a book store not a library but I wish that they had a better selection of comfortable chairs to sit in and that they were more "tucked" away. I always find myself buying at least one book and I always seem to take at least twice the time I thought I would inside. If they had better seating maybe a fire and a bigger Starbucks I would say that this store would be a home run. As it stands now its a solid triple. read more

I go here a lot now and always have a lot of fun looking through everything. They usually have what I am looking for and if they don't I can usually just order it and pick it up in a few days. The worst customer service. Do they not train their employees? I brought in a simple gift return and they were rude and unhelpful (not to mention that the long line moved excruciatingly slow). They acted like it was my fault they couldn't find the items in their system. After much discussion they finally told me that I could exchange my books and held my books while I looked for an item I wanted to exchange. Had to wait forever in the line again. And when I got to the front they lost my books. It took them forever to find them and then the employee couldn't figure out how to log in to her computer. At this point she told me how I was making a mistake in returning my books because one of them 'was so good' (NO. OBVIOUSLY I DONT WANT THAT BOOK. IVE GONE THROUGH ALL THIS TO RETURN IT). Then she went to find a manager (again). The manager was a few registers down and was "coming in just a second" but really wasn't coming any time soon. As this was all happening the salesgirl helping me kept laughing like it was funny and never once apologized for the many inconveniences. At this point I just wanted to leave with my new book (please. I just want to go) but since they owed me 1.43 I had to wait yet again until they put that on a card. So between the incompetence and lack of anything resembling a dedication to their customers it was ultimately one of the most frustrating shopping experiences I've had. Do not shop here. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen. I bought a book it wasn't delivered. Called the week it was supposed to be delivered. They told me it would come the next day. It didn't. I called again a week later. They said they were unable to deliver it and that I would be refund. Fast forward a month. No refund. Called in they said the refund was in process. This repeated a few times before I called them on their crap. They looked into it and I was not getting a refund because they were not able to get the refund to me. They said I could come in for the refund. So after spending an hour on the phone, and not getting my book when I needed it I had to spend another 30 min driving. When I got there instead of helping me immediately they had me stand off to the side while the manager took her sweet time showing up. The manager asked if I had my receipt. I didn't (I was not told to bring one). She looked up the order and refunded me. She told me that shipping would have been free and so refused to refund me for the shipping. Since I didn't have my receipt I couldn't prove that I lid for shipping. Got home and found the receipt. Not only did they not refund me for shipping they didn't even refund the full price of the Book. Called back was left on hold for 10min while waiting for the manager. Hung up. Called back and was immediately transferred. Instead of apologizing the manager blamed me for not having brought in the receipt and told me I need to come in again to get the full refund. I told them that is unacceptable. They allowed me to do the refund over the phone. The manager also claims she Gave me a receipt for the refund which she didn't. She was uncooperative, and did nothing to compensate me for the time and energy I wasted on this transaction. Barnes and Noble needs to seriously consider placing new management in this location. Honestly I'm not sure how they stay in business. Everything is drastically cheaper on amazon, and amazon doesn't mess around when it comes to customer service. read more

I have always enjoyed Barnes and Noble. Great customer service and the staff really know their books. Sure they don't have the cheapest prices for books or movies but I have had the worst experiences with Amazon that I can't imagine happening at B&N. If you want to pay less for your books, wait for three @#$*ing months and get the wrong book when it actually comes, shop at Amazon. If you want to talk to people who care about books and aren't a slave to worrying about prices, go to Barnes & Noble. read more
