6oz. FILET MIGNON with bordelaise sauce

We enjoyed a pleasant brunch/lunch birthday celebration for my mother in law last week, Saturday. Food was good. I had the steak and eggs, scrambled with tots. My steak choice was the filet Mignon. My mother in law had the pan roasted chicken. My wife's selection, fried chicken and waffles, was a disappointment. We enjoyed a bread basket too. The restaurant made the birthday celebration special with a slice of chocolate cake. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming.

This review is for happy hour only! LB Steak is one of my favorite steakhouse, I have been often and always enjoy the filet and they have the best sprouts. Happy hour is just ok here. The menu is small as well as the bar area. I believe it only fits less than 20 people. There's a 4 top, a couple two tops and bar seating. You will have to come at the start of happy hour if you want to get a seat. Santana row in general can be a busy place. Since this is located in a highly busy shopping and living area, there are a lot of residence that visit often and therefore the workers are familiar with them so they are usually given a lot of attention. I like stopping in for happy hour because I love their mai tai and calamari, but that's usually it and I wish their menu was a bit larger. They used to have a nice size burger but seems they switched it out to sliders which are very small. The calamari and sauce that it comes with is good and for $6 I will always order it. Sliders with fries $10 just okay. They should have kept the full sized burger. The $10 mai tai is pretty good. Including Sunday In happy hour is nice as well.

It had been some time since we had visited this restaurant and last minute Thursday night we decided to give it a try again. The back house service was good , particularly Maria who was the first to greet our table and bring us water etc and the food was delicious . We enjoyed it and we did not mind paying the 5% living wages on the check .....but when the hostess in the front of the restaurant is standing there as we leave with nothing else going on and she can't even acknowledge us, I have an issue with this. This is a hospitality business . It is not that difficult to say " thank you for joining us this evening - have a good night ..." Management needs to train their front as well as they train their back staff. Other than this it was a nice experience .

Tomahawk, Brussel sprouts, asparagus and wine flight. Lisa was the best. Friendly and even brought us sparkling wine for our anni and had wonderful customer service!! Her team was wonderful as well! Definitely a nice place dinner. Good lighting for any occasion. Will come back!

Absolutely amazing service. I came in as a party of one and the staff created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Sergio took the time to introduce himself and make sure I was taken care of. The wine list was stellar. If you're looking for a good selection of dessert wines, this place is stacked with vintages of Sauternes from d'Yquem. I ended up pairing my dinner with a 2022 Cab from Brendel, which I found to be very delicate and fruit forward. Overall, I had a lovely experience here thanks to Sergio and the rest of the team. Definitely try out this restaraunt next time you find yourself on Santana Row!

Really good experience here! Service is very quick, very friendly, and very good. Outdoor seating section during Christmas time was really nice as well! Lots of seats but make sure you make reservations for Friday nights / weekends. Food is solid but nothing special FOOD: Ribeye Steak (7/10): Solid piece of steak, but slightly overcooked for medium rare. Red wine sauce was good though! Side of mushrooms (9/10): Best part of the meal. Super juicy mushrooms pretty large portion. Burger (6/10): Burger was really dry, mushrooms helped it out. Needs something like sauce on it. Truffle fries were decent and a huge portion size

It was delicious and very filling. Wagyu was a win but the clams were a little fishy.

I came for Thanksgiving dinner at 5:45, and had the best experience. Only had to wait a few minutes for our table, so we stopped at the bar for a cocktail & brought it back to our table with us. It was so crowded when we first got in, but we had reservations so we were helped right away. The vibes were so good, dim lighting, with the classic steak house light on the table. Everything that we ordered to eat was sooo phenomenal, I wish I could repeat the turkey dinner!! I cannot wait to go back, the food was such quality and service was amazing! The espresso martini was better to me than the pomegranate cosmo which tasted Smokey to me and not good at all so not sure if that was a mistake or what but overall a great experience.

FOOD I have eaten here three times, and have always enjoyed the food! INSIDE The restaurant is located at Santana Road towards the end where the Yard House is located. Yes, it's on the pricey side, but it is more of an upscale steak restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I have eaten outdoors in January before, and it was not my favorite because I don't like being cold. It was enclosed, but still not as warm as I would have liked considering I run cold. The ambience inside feels like a typical steak restaurant, lighting is on the darker side, wood decor, and white tablecloths. STAFF the service here has never been an issue. I think they make sure to hire well trained servers that know what they are doing.

We went on a weekend right when they opened and it was pretty empty. Despite that, service felt...incredibly slow somehow. I understand giving time and letting people talk or what not but this really stood out. It took 20 minutes for our waiter to take our orders but food came out fairly quickly. Then 5 minutes to be handed a dessert menu after we said yes to being asked, then another 15 minutes for our order to be put in. Also had to wait a bit for the check. Definitely recommend the inKind app though since we got $25 off $50 and about $11 cash back on top of that to be used in the future! Actual food was delicious. Wagyu fried rice especially had so much flavor and the fried rice grains were distinct. The main flavor of the steak tartare was the balsamic vinegar on there and went well with the white dollops of mayo/aioli on the side. Also comes with small pickles. Seared pork belly was also tender and delicious! The egg on top is runny and the bread pudding below isn't the sweet kind. But it's not particularly savory either. More like just a carrier for the subtly sweet maple glaze. The only thing that we felt was "reheated up" was the bread pudding dessert. It just seemed old and gummier than expected.

Ambiance was sooo cute in the enclosed outdoor seating, especially over the holidays with the lights and decorations glittering along Santana Row outside. We did wait quite a bit to get seated (maybe ~30mins) even though we had a reservation. Service otherwise was standard. The food really fell flat, but I think it's a spot where it's more for the vibes than the actual food. Honestly my favorite dish might have been the grilled asparagus. The steak was definitely way too tough and not juicy, I'm really glad we decided to share an order of steak rather than each ordering our own. Drinks were solid though, I had two and definitely helped overlook the otherwise lackluster food.

35 DAY DRY AGED 12 OZ BONELESS RIB EYE

SUNDAY BRUNCH: FRIED CHICKEN AND WAFFLES - BEST IN BAY AREA I've eaten at LB Steak numerous times for several occasions such as Sunday prime rib or Mother's Day. I came here last Sunday for brunch. The last time I ate here was on a Sunday in October, but I didn't eat brunch. This time when I made a reservation through OpenTable I requested the brunch menu. Before coming here I looked at the brunch menu through the LB Steak website. I thought about ordering two items: French toast and fried chicken & waffles. However when I looked at the brunch menu at LB Steak one item that stood out was LB avocado toast. I asked the server if she would recommend the French toast or LB avocado toast. She stated one item was a dessert type while the other was more filling. Since I was going to order fried chicken and waffles I decided to get LB avocado toast. Here's my take on the two items. LB avocado toast was a nice dish to start with. The combination of fried egg and avocado toast made the dish filling. However I expected the bread to be toasted instead I got a slice of bread. The fried chicken and waffles is a different story. I will say that the fried chicken and waffles at LB steak was the best I ever had. A lot of times the fried chicken is dry. The fried chicken at LB Steak was a huge, juicy breast. Most breasts I ate that were breaded and deep fried are dry. That was not the case with the dish I ate for brunch. I don't think I will order another fried chicken and waffles at another place besides LB Steak.

Food Quality: **** Service: **** Ambiance: **** Value: **** Great happy hour, it stands out compared to the rest of the menu. It is on the pricier side but given the establishment, location, service and ambiance it is justified. Service is pretty good, staff were friendly. This spot is good for a quick celebration or a solid happy hour.

The Spaten Oktoberfest, it was honestly very tasty and I enjoyed it a lot. Their special, Pumpkin Pie Spritz, was DELICIOUS. If I could taste a true Pumpkin pie in a drink, that was it. It has so much flavor. It made an excellent dessert after dinner. I also decided to try their Burrata Crostini for the first time and it was very good. The flavors all blended very well together, from the creamy cheese, to the tomato, to their balsamic glaze. It was an excellent choice & I strongly recommend it. The people who work here have always been so kind and attentive when it came to service. I love their outdoor area as it's in the heart of Campbell, the interior design is also very modern & sophisticated. I've never had a bad experience here so far. Definitely a favorite! * Pork belly: Pull apart, juicy, and tender! These paired actually really well with the arancini for a good balance of rice and meat. * Red miso crème brûlée: interesting sweet and salty flavor combination between the red miso and Madagascar vanilla. I still ended up falling back on a classic Cab as my favorite, but it was cool to try a few different ones, rank them, and then realize our rankings shifted the more we kept sipping lol. We also got the rosemary & prosciutto pizza, which looks pretty unassuming at first but is actually so good. Pro-tip: save the extra crust and use it with your charcuterie. It basically becomes a fluffy cracker for all the extra meats, cheeses, and spreads on your plate. We ordered both of the bruschettas in the starters section (honeycomb burrata and porcini pate) and I was a bit surprised they came on untoasted bread because I'd been picturing baguette slices. They were both tasty because it's hard to go wrong with an umami ingredient like pate but if I really think about it, both of these dishes were things anyone could throw together. There wasn't any special seasoning made by the restaurant or anything. For entrees, we ordered the Paris by night truffle lover bifteak (filet mignon with truffle cheese on sweet potato) which was just okay. We ordered medium rare but the entire thing was a bit chewy and slightly dry. Could taste the truffle on the Parmesan cheese when alone but not when eaten with the sweet potato. The Persian saffron gheymeh lamb ossobuco (lamb shank with stew and dill basmati rice) was delicious though! Lamb was incredibly tender and savory and the spiced split-pea saffron stew went well with the fluffy rice. We'll probably return to try the recommended cod and tiramisu because overall it was pretty good.

You just walk in. Like a human being. Like it's 1952 and people still did things that made sense. So my friends and I--and by friends I mean other middle-aged specimens who've decided we're not quite ready for the Early Bird Special circuit--we meet up for cocktails and oysters. And here's where it gets interesting: Their Oaxaca Mezcal selection. Folks, I'm drooling. I'm a grown man standing at a bar, salivating like Pavlov's golden retriever. It's embarrassing. It's beautiful. But the Old-Fashioneds? Holy Toledo, the Old-Fashioneds. I don't know what kind of wizard academy these bartenders graduated from--Hogwarts School of Mixology?--but these drinks border on actual magic. Generous pours, crafted with the kind of care usually reserved for newborn babies and vintage automobiles. You can taste the integrity in every sip. The place itself? Perfect booths, actual art on the walls, ambience that doesn't make you feel like you wandered into either a nursing home or a nightclub where everyone's young enough to be your kid. It's just... right. Five stars. Go there. Bring your middle-aged friends. Try not to drool too much over the mezcal. You're welcome.

Unfortunately I do not remember what I had...except for one that had "absinthe" which was obviously the fake American version of it. Each cocktail has a very thorough description so you can pick and choose to your liking. Every cocktail was about $17 each. Which is pricey! but that's how it is these days. But you should be assured the quality here is real good. I had to dock 1 star for the interesting choice of leaving the emergency door ajar all night the time i went. While it did help with the steamy temps inside, wow did it ruin the night for those who sit close to the door! It was very cold and windy so maybe leaving it too open was an uninformed choice. Parking is tricky, it's mostly street. There's some residential areas you can park at if you don't mind walking farther. Definitely going back, but a little farther away from the door next time.

Once seated, it took the waitress a good 10 minutes to come over to our table. When she finallty did, she was going to leave without asking if we wanted to order drinks, we had to call her back. The food took a while also. Not once did she come back to check on us to see if we wanted another drink while we were waiting. She was nice enough, and maybe this is her first wait job, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. However, we noticed quite a few of the staff were just standing around. Hats off to the person who does their Instagram - they make the place look huge, but it's not. Everyone at the table said their dish was very tasty. You HAVE to try the ftench toast a try. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant struck the perfect balance of an energetic, vibrant atmosphere set against an elegant, earthy, warm backdrop. It manages to feel both incredibly lively and deeply welcoming all at once. The service here was impeccable. Cynthia and Lawrence provided seamless, white-glove service that was attentive without ever feeling stiff--they made our family feel like the most important table in the room. The true highlight of the evening, however, was Chef Nicko. We were able to meet him and benefit from hearing him describe the ingredients of our plates with a level of detail that almost makes each part of the recipe come alive. He also added the occasional history and inspiration behind a plate. Hearing the stories behind the food transformed an extraordinary menu into an unforgettable narrative experience. What made the night truly magical was how the food shifted the entire dynamic at the table. Our usual family dinner conversation completely dissolved, refocused entirely around each plate as it arrived. It felt like my family transformed instantly to a group of passionate foodies, analyzing textures, debating flavor profiles, and marveling at the presentation. With a meal this spectacular, it is nearly impossible to pick out a single "best" plate. Instead, if I were returning for a solo dinner and had to build my ultimate dream menu, here is exactly what I would order: To Start: the marinated olives, the pristine crudo, and the perfectly prepared octopus. The Main Event: A split pasta course of the rich tagliatelle and ravioli, followed by the filet mignon and the spectacular bone-in pork chop. The Finale: You cannot leave without ordering both the bright lemon pie and the classic, decadent tiramisu. If you are looking for more than just a meal, but a memory that will completely captivate your table, visit Eos & Nyx. We will be talking about this night for a very long time.

When I asked to taste two wines before ordering, our server Anthony commented that we "should have ordered a flight." If that's the policy, that's completely fine, but the comment felt unnecessary -- it would have been better to simply explain the policy or politely decline. When the bill arrived, he had already selected a 20% tip on the payment device, which felt odd since tipping should be the customer's choice. When we adjusted it to 15%, he told us that he had been nice to us all night and that we had been rude to him, which was uncomfortable and surprising. It's a shame because the food and wine were genuinely great, but the service experience took away from an otherwise enjoyable evening. I would really want come to this place again but due to treatment we got I would definitely think twice.
