Have taken a couple of extremely expensive mens shirts that are now ruined due to a lack of knowledge on how to use starch and correct pressing pressure and temperature. The inside beck tag is now bleeding through both shirts. I took a jacket to be dry cleaned. When my husband went to pick it up-it had a spot on it as if it wasn't cleaned at all. He told them to clean it. He went to pick it up a few days later -the spot was gone and the buttons were completely ruined and peeling. They gave me "store credit" but it's not worth going back. Best price in Indy, with the economic steadily rising so does the cost of dry cleaning but the cleaner understands and their prices are affordable. Since I am a terrible ironer and always burn myself to boot, I take our dress shirts there for laundry, medium or heavy starch, and iron. The last three times, the shirts were definitely not starched. in addition, the last two times the shirts did not even appear to be ironed. just pulled out of the drier and hung up. read more

They ruined it & wouldn't refund me bc they said it was "already like that." It was not. I went back & "Samia" told me to come back & talk to the manager. I did & he was worst. He even pointed out the pilling & I told him to look at how perfect the rest of the fabric around it was, that his people did that. He wouldn't even look or hear me out. They are friendly and still reasonable compared to other cleaners but they are inconsistent with pricing (sometimes 2.99 for a dress sometimes $6). The inconsistency is reason for 3 stars. They did recently raise prices from $2.99 to $3.99 so I won't be dry cleaning as often and only do those items that are dry cleaning only. read more

My friend recommended this dry cleaners to me. I took in a pair of cotton spandex pants to be dry cleaned and pressed, nothing fancy. They charged me $5.99. Needless to say, I was expecting $2.99 as is posted on their website and on the outside of the business. Lesson learned. Tuchman in Avon sends their items to Zionsville for cleaning - 3 day turn-around at best! And the last time used they lost our order- took a while to even find! (It will truly be the LAST time used.) I have been using this dry cleaners, previously under another name, for many years and never had any issues. I dropped off several items on October 10th and picked up those items two weeks ago. Upon looking at the items I noticed one of the tops had 3 holes, which were not there when I took it in to be cleaned. I took the top back today to show the damage. I was met with total denial by the two individuals working, a male and a female the dry cleaners were not responsible for the damage as the holes were "old". I did not get their names unfortunately. I tried to explain that those holes were not there when I dropped it off, and why would I spend the money to have a top cleaned with 3 holes. When I realized I was not going to get any satisfaction, I told the female I will never return to Laxa Cleaners and I will report this on social media. She just smiled and said okay thank you. People beware as it is obvious, in my opinion, this business does not care about customer satisfaction. read more
