Grabbed a drink and a snack on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, service was not great. From something one of the servers said, I think someone or multiple people called in sick. We stood around for about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Once we were seated, service was very slow. Beers were good! I like that they offer 5oz pours so I could try multiple beers. We ordered nachos. They were big, but I wish they would have had more cheese. The patio was good. I'd give it another chance in the hopes it was just an off day.

LBC West is not just another brewpub with experimental craft beer. Nope, it's beer, friendly staff, and some sensational tastes on a strong food menu tucked into a spot out in west LFK. The original LBC has a large, airy space in the Arts District, but this LBC spot just 'fits' right where it is in a 'burbs-ish -strip. Ask any brewer about his or her craft and prepare to listen a lot, as many artisan brewmasters love to talk their works. LBC West offers up a strong rotation from the hoppy to the filling, like a 'lectric or 'lectric-pina IPA to a Tandem stout. Five ounce taster pours are available for anything on tap for $3 each, which allows you to sample your faves and keep it wallet-friendly. I'm a malt lover, so sign me up for brown or red ales, and the Two Hands Anyhow is a spectacular, balanced English Ale. The food fare is a somewhat limited, but wow, talk about focus! Having sampled the LBC nachos (all the reg tops) and the waffle fries (just add the pimento cheese and thank yourself), I opted for the LBC mac n' cheese. It's a generous portion of rotini mixed with a white cheddar and bleu cheese sauce and this dish borders on sinfully delish! A pint and a bowl of mac/chz on a frigid January day and I was out of there for under $20. Not too shabby, and the staff makes it all worth it. Great beer, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere makes LBC West a sure win.

Simple but perfect. Open bright dining with indoor seating, bar and outside patio. I had sour beer which was spot on. Menu is full of simple bar variety. Good flavors.

We went here because another restaurant downtown was quoting 1.5 hour wait times on a college basketball game day. We were sat here immediately. That should have been a red flag. But, we were just happy to be seated right away. I should have known that it was because the food is pretty bad. I didn't have any of the beer. Maybe that would have made the food taste better. I got the single patty lbc burger with fries. Said it came with a pickle spear. It didn't. Not a huge deal. Server brought out food in 2 separate trips roughly 10 minutes apart. The flavor of the burger was pretty bland. Fries were ok. I would never go back unless someone else really wanted to go there.

LBC recently opened a new location. Same selection of beer. The place is smaller but no shortage of TVs. Perfect sports bar in the neighborhood. Food selection is smaller, but good quality.

Raspberry edel and the 'lectric beers

Great place for a beer after work! On Tuesday, they have special $3 pours . Service is also fabulous here- they take care of you and have great drink recommendations! One of my favorites the raspberry edel which really has the raspberry come through and is just a little sour without being too sweet. My other favorite is the 'lectric. I'm usually not a big fan of hoppy beers, but this one is well-balanced and has some lovely floral undertones.

Love me some LBC! First time to this location was a smashing hit. All though set in a shopping center and doesn't have the same brick vibe as the original location, the food, beer and service were on par. Currently they have two patio seating areas (covid) and everyone is masked up. Def go here if you're out in this area of Lawrence.

My favorite burger on this earth: the LBC burger. Single. Amazing pickles and burger sauce. And the best fries.

The vibe was fun and inviting, and it looks like they've carried over the magic from their super popular Christmas pop-up into a fresh, spring-inspired theme. It adds a really playful, seasonal touch without feeling overdone. What really made the visit stand out, though, was the service. Our waitress was fantastic--super friendly, attentive without hovering, and offered great suggestions that we actually ended up loving. Tip: Get a basket of French fries for the table! Overall, it's one of those spots that works for just about anything--family outings, catching a game, bigger group gatherings, or even a more low-key, intimate meal. Great atmosphere, great service, and a place we'll definitely be back to.

That is now available next door at the connected Jade Bar restaurant. Jade Bar not only provides full service, but also has a full bar, including Woodbridge wines by the bottle or glass. The table service is excellent and very helpful. They have two menus: the regular menu and the authentic Chinese menu. Since the server is so helpful with selections, it is best to request both menus. We ordered the clam soup, which is available only on the authentic menu. We expected soup containing canned clams. We were pleased to receive a large bowl of soup, enough for two or more to share, containing fresh clams in the shells. The menus are the same as in Jade Garden, but the choices are made much easier by the table service. In addition, you do not pay until you are done, while in Jade Garden, you are expected to pay when you order at the counter. For dinner, the atmosphere in the Jade Bar is much better than in Jade Garden. Jade Bar also contains separate rooms for Karaoke, if you are into that. We are not, but we looked into one of those rooms. It was very nicely equipped and comfortable with large couches.
