Slice with onions, mushrooms, and black olives. Delicious.

This was my second time here. It's a huge bar with tv's everywhere. The service is fantastic (usually college kids). I love their pizza, and yes, you can order just a slice. Which are huge. Can't wait to go back.

a lawrence staple! great spot to check out for larger groups. plenty of space and plenty of options. a good space to watch sporting events, jayhawks in particular. their wings are the star of the show. would recommend the wilson wings. it's fried and charred. their frie sauce is preferred for dips for the fries. service is really good. whether it's a quick lunch or a large get-together, johnny's is a solid choice.

Great service, food took 25ish mins during dinner rush. Gluten free pizza was thin and a little hard to chew (that might just be expected with gluten free)- pineapple (not fresh) and sausage toppings were okay. Steak quesadillas were not super filling but had decent steak, salsa was good. Bone in wings had good flavor, fries were just okay. Chicken lettuce wraps had small pieces of lettuce, but tasty chicken.

Very good food! The Buffalo Pizza is great, I had mine with blue cheese grumbles. Their Tavern Wing Sauce tastes like a "Whiskey Hot Buffalo Sauce" love the flavor and glad I ordered a whole bottle. The seasoned fries were very delicious pub style fries a++ We got their meat pizza and it was very good, only critique is they put most of the toppings around the center BUT the pizza was very very good! The Salad was of much higher quality than you see at other places with a mix of lettuces. The side of ranch we ordered was 8oz and tasted home made! It was a comparable price to other sauce sides at restaurants except you get 8oz not 2 tablespoons, excellent value! The cheese sticks which I figured would be small, were massive, excellent value for the money. The wait staff were friendly inside and seemed to enjoy being there, the atmosphere was of a classy but relaxed tavern, loved it. You guys deserve a great rating, keep up the great work!

What happened to your wings Johnny? I thought i would give you another chance.. but the dry overcooked wings on a Saturday afternoon just made me want to fly out of there! The sweet potato fries were nicely cooked and the side salad... I mean full salad... no actually.. it looks like a side salad - was just enough of a serving.

So, we came here last minute. They were able to accommodate us nicely and the food came out surprisingly quick. We split the nachos which were pretty good. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich and I thought it was fantastic. Good tangy sauce, fries were solid and maybe it's strange to say but their ranch is really good. All and all it was a great experience. I was surprised how good it was because I felt like it got beat up in the reviews. Also, just a side note. Someone got a burger and it looked a little puny. I'd suggest a double if I were you.

This is one of my favorite places in Lawrence. The food is always quality, some of the better restaurant style pizza I've had. I always get this with fries, I'm not sure what they do but these fries are always extra crispy and different than what most places serve. If you're big into ranch like me, this is some of my favorite. The prices are always great too, $5 for a giant slice of pizza and $2 fries. My friend and I just tried the cookie last night, which was absolutely amazing! Sometimes I feel like cookies at places like these are a little overhyped but this one was something special. I usually get the double stacked fried Oreos which are also good but you can't go wrong with either dessert here.

Nice people, lots of draft beer selections, very good burgers and the fish and chips were also very good. A little pricey, so 4 stars.

Food and service were good. But I think you've charged too much to eat. Drink prices are really high. I need more parking.

The vibe was fun and inviting, and it looks like they've carried over the magic from their super popular Christmas pop-up into a fresh, spring-inspired theme. It adds a really playful, seasonal touch without feeling overdone. What really made the visit stand out, though, was the service. Our waitress was fantastic--super friendly, attentive without hovering, and offered great suggestions that we actually ended up loving. Tip: Get a basket of French fries for the table! Overall, it's one of those spots that works for just about anything--family outings, catching a game, bigger group gatherings, or even a more low-key, intimate meal. Great atmosphere, great service, and a place we'll definitely be back to.

There are plenty of unhealthy options on the menu, but there are also some healthier options if you're careful. My sister did not join us because there's too many tempting unhealthy choices. So if you can't resist a good cheeseburger with fries, don't go here! I LOVE all of sauce choices! I love how they have them on the menu showing how they go from mild to hot. We ordered 20 wings to share with the table (5 of us), but I ended up eating 10 of them! They were so good! We got 10 Honey Siracha flavored and 10 Double Dipped. We all preferred the Honey Siracha. The double dipped didn't have as flavor. They add tortilla chips to the basket, but they didn't seem to have any seasoning on them. They were very bland so no one ate them. I got the grilled shrimp and a side of coleslaw for my meal. The coleslaw was pretty bland, so I ended up not eating it. But the shrimp was very tasty, and a healthy portion (and healthy option). The plate came with 2 hush puppies which I didn't try. They were pretty small and looked over cooked, but my niece ate them and said they're delicious! My daughter got the same thing but with fries. We got some fried mac and cheese bites. I didn't know they had jalapeño in them. I tried one bite of one. They were pretty spicy, but good. My niece got the shrimp tacos. They looked pretty good. They come with a side and she got fries. She was only able to eat one taco and took the rest home. Her daughter got to eat for free (from the kids menu). She got the mac and cheese with a side of apple sauce. I tried the mac and cheese. It was ok. She didn't eat anything, but kids are weird. Her mom took it home for her to eat later. My other niece got the boneless wings and loved them. Hers came with tortilla chips. Altogether our bill was about $65 before tip. We had water to drink. I might go back again. If I don't, it's only because I try to eat healthy and there's a lot of temptations here. I give 5 stars because most everything was very good and the server was very nice too. The restaurant is clean.

I had the quiche Lorraine with sweet potato fries and a salad. The sweet potato fries were OK, but the quiche was cold and I ended up eating less than half of my food. My friend ordered the blue crab benny which came with home fries. Her potatoes were cold and she also ate less than half her food because she said she didn't like it. I will accept blame for not realizing J Wilson doesn't serve lunch on weekends, but the quality of the food is on them. I've never eaten a steak at a steakhouse with this taste. It was certainly unique. I loved the lump crab cakes though; very moist and creamy. The service was great. Our waiter was attentive and offered a free coffee cake for a birthday celebration. J. Wilson's has an average 4.3 stars on Yelp which is really good. However, the bone-in ribeye was underwhelming. I would rather pay $20-30 more for a more exceptional steak. P.S. my brother also could not finish his KC Strip.
