Amy usually does my eyebrows and jimmy does my nails. The environment is very laid back, and from the first time until now, they have NEVER tried to sell me anything other than what I came there for. The mani/pedi combo here is a great deal. But I mainly go here to treat myself to SNS for special occasions/holidays. I was introduced to SNS here, and I am hooked. It's a bit of a splurge compared to regular manicures, but it lasts up to 3 weeks (it technically lasts longer, but then growth becomes an issue) so it ends up being worth it. Anyway, I've had no issues with anything I've had done here. I'm really "that person". I drive 30 minutes each way to come here. After moving to Kirkland, I tired every salon only to find that Amy is truly the best. My sets last 3 weeks with no lifting or chipping (I get a full set with acrylics). With the same prices offered at lavish, you get way more than what you pay for. Judy is a brow & nail angel! I moved here a year ago and have gone only to pricey salons to get my brows done because I was so nervous that someone would mess up the masterpieces my last brow woman had created. I went to Lavish because my friend works at a bar and said all of her coworkers go there. Judy did such a good job with my manicure- I decided to trust her with my brows and for 1/2 the price I've been paying elsewhere, she did the best job! I used to get shellac from here which was always awesome but then I tried the SNS nails by Amy and I haven't been able to stop getting them. They are durable, have made my nails strong, and last about 3 weeks! Amy is amazing. She is extremely sweet, always flexible and considerate, makes her customers comfortable, and runs a great team of girls who work their butts off doing nails! Terrible! I had my acrylic nails removed but later decided that I really wanted them put back on. I went to Lavish Nails because it was near my office, that was a big mistake. I walked out with incredibly thick nails, burning skin all around the nail that did not go away a few minutes later like the tech said it would. I went to another, much nicer, nail salon and the technician there had to basically chip the entire nail that Lavish Nails did and start over. I was embarassed to have such an awful looking set of nails. I will not go back and I would never recommend this place. I understand that some of the solutions can burn your skin but this was pretty unbearable and the skin turned bright red. read more

Been really bad at writing reviews..but I have been going to this place for over a few years now.. seen different managment cycle through. In all that they have always seem to maintain the best service! I personally think the prices are pretty decent for the quality you get. I always feel taken care of and love the outcome of my nails. The girls there always try to make you feel comfortable...very friendly girls. the english isnt always great but they try! haha the owner is super duper awesome! He is very talkative! SO get ready for full extensive convo! LOL They are pretty good at accomdating to your needs.It can get busy during the hours of 4-7pm I always suggest making an appt otherwise you can catch yourself waiting for 20mins or so before they get started. *sigh* I have been going here for around 3 yrs. mostly for fills and designs. This last time, I went in in late afternoon and had to wait 45 mins ..ok with me...it's my downtime. Well...I had to ask her to THIN out my nails buff em down...they were way too thick and still my thumbnails are a tad thick, but it goes downhill from here...she took off the nail polish but I can still see where it was on the side of my nails...she was in such a hurry because of another client that had an appt...that I did not get a design even though I asked for 1. I would've given 2.5 stars if it would let me. Will I go back? I am not sure ...if you treat your customers like cattle and don't take the time to make sure they are taken care of (now I work Customer Service at a very busy store) then you don't deserve to have my business. I wasn't asking for anything different at all. I am....disappointed, sadly enough. Sidenote....I tried going back 2 separate times since then and they couldn't get me in...there are better places than here for your nails to get done. like Chicago Nails or NY Nails in the northend. read more

My friend and I were around the area and wanted to get our nails done, so we Google our nearby nail shop, we saw this one has pretty good review so we decide to give it a shot. When we arrived there, one of the nail techs was pretty rude, no greetings at all. My nail shape wasn't even. My friend's nail tech was horrible, whenever we want to change the idea, the nail tech gave us a very impatient look, so impolite. Her nails turned out alright but definitely the nail techs need to learn how to deal with customers in a polite way! I don't think that they are good as other reviewers said!! Came in for a regular mani pedi on a Sunday. I made an apt and the water was ready when I arrived. They clearly weren't too busy but still appreciate the ready service. Customer service was friendly. Not very talkative but that really does not affect my review. Pedicure contained a sugar scrub, a lotion massage & was finished with a very lovely hot stone massage! :)) The manicure was exactly the same! The detail of the polish/ shape was perfect. I've been going to Lavish for pedicures for years now. I get the occassional brow wax and manicure as well. Amy is expert. All the ladies there are super-sweet and my pedicures always last for several weeks. Starting this summer (2013), they got new massage chairs - added a chair and some staff so the waiting times have gone way down - and they added a skin scrub step to the spa pedicure. It's heaven. Good quality, great price for a basic mani/pedi. I was getting ready to go out of town and didn't have the time or desire to drive to my usual higher-end place. I checked out other yelp reviews and found this place. So happy I did since it was close to my home and they had availability within an hour on a Friday evening. They have some OPI but mostly China Glaze nail polishes. Nice chairs, sealed instruments, overall friendly staff. They person who did my nails was very friendly and I really appreciated the leg and arm massage in addition to the normal hand and feet components. My fingernail buff (instead of polish) wasn't 100% and I did need to file one nail a bit more when I got home, but overall a solid 4 for service and price. They prefer cash but take cards. read more

I went to Lavish Nails a couple times because it was close to my house. The first time was good and inexpensive but the nail polish (I got a French manicure) didn't come off later not even with strong nail polish remover. I don't know what the heck they use but if you don't want to keep going back to get a new manicure you're screwed. I had 2 good pedis there and then the last time my heels weren't even touched and I was going out in fancy shoes! Bummer! Also the prices had risen drastically over a 2 month period. After Thanksgiving impromptu mani and pedi for three. They got us right in. Pretty standard fare for the pedi...massage chair, soak in foot bath, basic leg massage, color. The mani was the same. The reason for the three stars is because the service was, well there wasn't any. No conversation, no help getting items moved from pedi area to mani area...it was all business. Very fast very ROUGH business. I would only go back off I needed a basic service and I had no other option. Toes and nails look nice, although nails already starting to chip...bummer paid extra for the shellac. read more
