Came here for the first time to take off my shellac nails. They were very busy but accommodated me right away. Taking off shellac nails could be very harmful to nails considering they're scratching them off your real nails. My natural nails are very damaged and chipped and I was very worried they'd get worse. But the nail technician here did a great job and my natural nails looked good after taking off my shellac nails. They only charge $7 for taking off shelled, most places charge $10. I'm glad I came here to get my nails taken care of! Btw, I saw 2 other ladies sitting to my left and right, their nails were done and drying by the time I sat down and they looked great! Came here after school since it was so close to SCC. I had my acrylics soaked off and two girls helped me throughout my time there, they were all very sweet. One of the shellac colors I chose turned out so light so she helped me pick out a more pigmented shade. At the end the girl gave me a warm lotion massage for my hands and arms and also with hot stones. The whole process only took about 45 min and I'm very happy with how my nails turned out. I haven't had an awesome nail salon experience in a while but this place was a gem! read more

My cuticles were not cleaned up and the SNS was not shapes nicely at all. It is uneven and rushed. I don't get why so many salons not care about the quality of their work anymore. First off, Jeanne E. is cray-cray. Ladies and fine gents, here is the real deal. I've been quietly judging the half dozen times I've been to Lavish Nails. They don't use an autoclave, but all their tools come pre-sealed and sterilized just like surgical tools. I work at a hospital, so I recognize the packaging they use. That's pretty boss! The spa-pedicure gets disinfected after every person. I always have one eye open while relaxing in their massage chairs. It's $32 for a mani-pedi, and $22 for pedicure only. That's a steal! Good selection of nail colors: Opi, China Glaze, Essie I've seen. I really like the ladies that work there. This is where I get picky since it's pretty intimate for a stranger to cut your toe nails and buff your ashy feet, and do it professionally and not get weird. This is the time, at an amateur place where they ask you, "you have boyfrenn?". They DO NOT do that here, the ladies are all really sweet, and polite. My mani/pedis look great, and last for quite a while. They give foot/leg massages during your pedicure, and a hand massage with your manis. This part can vary, I've had some dreeamy massages, and others where it felt like they were just rubbing lotion vigorously in my skin. Either way, it felt pretty damn good to me. The hot towel on your leg and footsies after the massage is nice. They can get pretty busy on Friday afternoons and Saturdays, but I just call ahead a few hours in advance and make an appt. The parking lot can get pretty full, but the lot next to it always has spots. They take credit cards, but I always pay in cash, I know they prefer that. read more

Seriously jimmy is freaking amazing, he takes such detail to do my nails, and yes I am a huge snob when it comes to my nails and usually I would recommend going to gene juarez but right now I need to seperate my work life, and my nail life :) Usually in smaller nail shops I feel rushed, unhappy and hurt!!!! Staff are professional and friendly and not annoyingly over-talkative like they can be at other places.. they let you guide the conversation should you want one. My skin was treated very gently and I never felt hurried. Comfortable seating, very clean. Loves it. I've been going to Lavish nails with my step daughter for several months and we both love it. It's our special time together. I used to get shellac, and then I tried the SNS. I love it. I keep my nails rather short, so I don't get tips. The SNS is so strong, and it never chips. My nails look great until they grow too much. I go every 2 weeks or so. An SNS mani is about $30, which seems like a deal to me. I read some of the negative reviews, and I have no idea what they are talking about. Helen did my nails today and she did a great job. She struggles with English, but she has a great sense of humor and attention to detail. I couldn't ask for more. It's not a high end spa. These folks work hard on a manicure for over an hour for $30 (I generally add $10 for a tip, $40 still seems reasonable to me for a manicure that looks this good). Highly recommended for people who just want a great manicure at a great price. read more

The staff here are WONDERFUL! I've been going here for close to 10 years now. The employees are kind, professional and absolutely lovely. The customer service from every person working here has always been excellent. It's my favorite place to go. The only downside is the parking. Lavish is the big sparkly diamond in the tarnished crown of upper Aurora Ave. Lavish is my favorite ever nail place. The prices are dirt cheap, the service is amazing, you never need an appointment. The girls are super duper sweet and the owners are awesome. Last time I was there I was trying to finish an article in the magazine I was reading and the owner was like "you want it? You take it, no problems!" Its really clean too, in comparison with the other places I've been in Seattle. Its right next to a decent bubble tea place. Quite by chance, I went to Lavish Nails that is a few blocks from my house. Fast forward to today: I still go to Lavish Nails. I get excellent service for my waxing needs, manicures, and pedicures. The staff is super friendly, efficient, and really good at what they do. Also, for the same price, I seem to get "extras" but they're not - it's part of the services they offer that others would charge for. For instance, I get great heel work and toenail shaping at no extra cost. They simply offer more than other places. I'm looking forward to another 5 years with Lavish Nails. read more

Let me start off by saying this used to be one of my favorite nail salons which is why I come here, I always trust him to do a good job. But the last time I went the woman named Amy who has been working there for a long time has been doing my nails as well as my mom's, my aunts. However the last time I was here Amy herself did my nails and cut my finger so deeply with that machine thing they use, that it was bleeding profusely and she proceeded to put acetone on my nails which was seeping into my cut stinging me so badly I couldn't hold my hand still and she proceeded to tell me that I need to be still!!! She didn't apologize or say sorry or even show any kind of niceness towards me after what she did, she looked at me like I did something wrong and made me feel really bad I just wanted to leave in the middle of getting my nails done I've never been treated this way in any kind of business considering I have my own and I would never treat any of my customers like this it's totally unacceptable don't even waste your time coming here. I'm really sad that they have turned like this because I used to love coming here. Unless you can stand being disrespected and given dirty looks while you are getting your nails done I would not recommend this place to anybody! read more

Walked in today for a mani/pedi. I was helped immediately. The pedi and mani were done at the same time which was great. Both women were friendly but not overly talkative (I'm not a huge fan of convo during services). I rate the pedi as 4 stars because the woman was gentle but thorough and she gave literally the best longest massage I've ever had. I'm taking one star away until I can figure out how they clean their instruments, I couldn't see an auto clave or sanitizer when I was there and didn't think to ask. This is my FAVORITE nail salon in the area. My father and I have been coming here to get manipedis (no polish for him though hehe) for at least 3 years now, and we've never been disappointed. Jimmy & Amy are always so pleasant and wonderful, they really take their time in making sure i walk out with fabulous french tips and designs. For the quality of their work, their prices are very reasonable. I often come here when I have a special event to go to. My FAVORITE part of this salon though is the punch cards! 10 manicures and you get a free one? OKAY! Oh and they also were able to give my boyfriend a muuuuch needed pedicure, he had some gnarly callouses that they took care of right away. read more

I am not to impressed with this place I 've beem here at least 5 times for pedis and fills on Acrylic nails. They don't have a variety of designs and if you bring a desing that you saw somewhere else they are always hesitant and will try but it's always crappy and they talk crap because you don't want any of the designs they offer. Their pedis are very mediocre, and if they are in a rush to get you out they will not cut them and just file them. The girls who do the pedis are usually nicer that the younger girl and the guy who do the nails. I don't like a salon that wants to do what they want to your nails eventhough your paying for them. And their prices aren't very forgiving I understand to charge more for designs but I've paid up to 60 dollars plus tip on a fill with designs on all the nails and a pedi with 2 designs on the big toes and these were designs they offer. I've had better and it didn't cost me a fortune. One more thing, there is parking its not the first entrance its the entrance next to the stereo warehouse. It may look like the only parking is in that little lot but there is more in the second. read more

And honestly I don't really trust anyone else to take care of my hands and feet like they do. I usually come in for a Mani & Pedi. They always pay such close attention to details and make sure I'm comfortable and for $30 you can't go wrong. I love the fact that they don't skimp on the massages. A good massage is really icing on the cake for me. They are personable and always ask me how my family is doing. They started doing Shellac for $28, the polish last for two weeks and it's amazing. Also consider SNS, no damage to nail bed, resistant to chipping and cracking and healthy for your real nail by adding calcium & vitamin E. They recently remodeled and the place looks great. If you can't find parking in the lot in front of the building consider parking just south of the building. It's completely safe, there are camera's. First time being here, first time getting Shellac Manicure. Overall I was pleased, I had an appointment and got there right when they opened (Saturday morning 10am). When I walked in there were already 4 people there getting pedi's, but I was seated right away. She could not mock my design I brought a picture of ( one simple heart on one nail) and their designs are a bit outdated, but she did a great job with multi-tasking and painting my nails. I wanted to try out SNS nails and read good things about this place, so i decided to give it a try! I called to make an appointment and was told I could come in 15 minutes. GREAT! I walk in, was seated, I was given my SNS color options and waited for a few moments for my nail tech to finish with her previous customer. She came over to me, sat down and started working on my nails. She kept answering her cell phone and texting (why am I surprised??). The experience was mediocre at best and the SNS was lumpy and looked wayyy too thick! My nails did, however, last a good solid month.
