(2 stars?) Don't get me wrong about the two stars but I've been going there for a few years now and I know Kim, the owner. I think Kim does a fabulous job and she is always friendly when I walk in. My problem is the other girl that does them. I usually get acrylics with gel color or pink and white and a pedicure, but the other day I just got a fill with a polish color. I wanted to do something different and decided on polish. After waiting about 15 minutes I sat down to have my nails worked on. Once she realized I only wanted a fill with polish she sped up her work and got down to doing a quickie job. Since I was doing polish I knew it would take time to dry and noticed the spray can to accelerate the drying process on the table in front of me. After she put on the polish she basically rushed to the client that wanted the mani/pedi with gel. She never even asked me if I wanted the drying spray. I've spent HUNDREDS of dollars at this place and was disappointed that the one time I try a less expensive service I get treated as if I were being cheap. It's obvious their return clients are not that important to them if they don't spend the big bucks every time they go in. read more

I was there for the first time on 05/15/15 for a manicure and spa pedicure. I paid $29.00. It was perfect. Today 07/11/13 I went back there and asked for the same thing and even brought my nail polish with me. They offer you a lot of things so just stick with no thank you and you are fine. Well my pedicure was ok, but for my nails she didn't use my nail polish and she was just buffering. I never had that buffering before. I honestly thought she was going to use my nail polish but she didn't. She said that will last longer. I was really lost because I didn't ask for that. To make this story short, today they charged me $37.00. This is ridiculous. I wanted to color my nails brown and she did whatever she wanted and charged me a lot. I am furious because they are taking advantage of the clients. I didnt want to say anything in front of the other customers but mark my words I am going back when they are about to close they are going to hear from me. I can't accept that. Please be very careful when you go there and ask for the price before you do anything and if you see that are doing something that you didn't ask for question them. I wont go back there ever again. read more

I usually go to Rex Nail Salon on 2nd street. I tried Lavender Nails recently and will never go back. The nail polish was old, applied to thick and chipped off. I went on a very hot day, the a.c. was not making it very uncomfortable. Only one of the manicurist spoke English. I will stick with Rex Nail Salon. read more

I have been going to Lavender Nails now for 3 years & I love it there. They have always treated me very good and Kim the manager is the BEST!!!!! There was this one time I was there and another woman was there being every rude to Kim regarding a gift certified she had that was no good anymore but yet Kim still gave her 50 % off everything she had done and was trying to make her other customers not feel uncomfortable. I can call Kim at the last minute at the end of the day right before they close and she always tells me to come in. I recommend Lavender Nails to anyone!!!! read more

Very clean. Both the salon and the implements. Nice chairs with massage THAT WORKS! Nice adjustable headrest too. Fabulous location. Very professional. Betsy did an excellent job on my dip fill. Took about an hour. $35 plus $6 tip. I chose no color. She used the crystal pink powder. This was my first visit to Lavender so I will check back right before my next fill to show how well it stayed put. I usually go once a month. That's why I opt for no color. The downfalls of dip are: more expensive fill, you have to remove it completely each time and that's a LOT OF ACETONE which is not great on your skin and it's also a lot of filing off the old product. I don't believe it's any better for your nails as they say, it's just a choice. Pros: no UV light which is very bad for your skin. Looks fresh for clear polish or French. As with other salons, not all manicurists do dip process so either arrive first thing when they open like I did or better yet, call ahead or make an appt. in advance. read more

I love this place, I have been coming here for about 10 years. The ladies are all really nice it is always such a friendly atmosphere. I get the spa pedicure because it is so relaxing, between the massage and the chair that massages your back at the same time I find it hard to stay awake. I have never had a bad experience here. I love that they use a drummel tool for callus removal it is so much more effective and far less painful than the cheese grater thing other salons use. I find it unfortunate that the majority of people who use yelp only use it to complain, these ladies do not deserve the criticism they have received on this site. Every time I am at this salon it is full of repeat customers who all interact with each other and the ladies who work here like family. Those who dislike such a nice atmosphere should take their hate elsewhere, what miserable lives you must lead if all you have time to do online is complain. read more

Lavender Nails is by far the cleanest nail salon in LB...I've been to plenty. The entire staff is friendly and warm. QA has been my chief technician for two years, she's wonderful, so sweet & knows exactly what my needs are. I recently took my 80+ neighbor to the salon, they were very gently & gracious to her, this made me very happy. I would definitely recommend Lavender Nails to all the women in Long Beach, men too :} Ann B read more
