I work in a resturant, and I do not give customers good service based off of the tips I receive from them. First time I went to this salon, I couldn't tip because I didnt know they didnt accept tips on card. Went back today prepared to tip 40% to make up for my last visit, and the guy had the most horrible attitude towards me. If you've gotten gel done before, you know it usually takes a good amount of time. He rushed, and I was out within 15 minutes of being there. I used to be a regular here for my sets, but hadn't seen Leo there in a while and nobody else seemed like they were experienced. It's been around 2 years since I've been here so I decided to give it another shot and was dissatisfied. One of my nails completely broke off the next day, and on another the gel polish is peeling off. I do get long nails but prior to this fill, length was never a reason my nail broke. I asked for designs that they advertised they could do, but while my nail lady was painting the hello kitties, her and another woman working were laughing hysterically and said it looked like a snowman :( I wish she would've just told me she couldn't do it well because putting quality aside, they did look great before she drew it on (and I was charged an extra $10). on the other hand, my friend who came with me got a french tip gel manicure and was charged almost $80, $10 more then me. I wish I took a picture of the hello kitties but I filed them off when I got home. Putting this experience aside, the workers do seem kind and the location is very clean. read more

Do NOT support this business! It is under different management and the person in charge (Frank) is extremely unfriendly. No common courtesy was offered. Also, I received a very poor $35 pedicure. Be aware this lousy place charges $10 to remove nail polish but they do not even have the courtesy to infirm you up front. It will be on your bill!! When I got home, I realized my feet still had many rough areas they just skipped over. These people do not deserve to be patronized by the lovely people of Danbury!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. A good little salon in a good location. Went here Saturday with a friend while running errands around 11:30 and they were able to seat us right away. Nothing fancy, just a regular manicure for $12. What I will say is my nails usually chip same/next day, but it's now Monday and still no chips! I would come back to get another mani and try their pedicures. They do offer free massages while your nails dry which is always my favorite, but she was pretty rough. Kept pushing my head all the way down to the table and pushed too deep on my neck muscles. I also saw a reflexology spa connected which looked really relaxing from what I could see. I'll definitely have to try that out soon! read more

I was told $35 on the phone for a Gel Pedicure. When I walked in, I asked for the $35 gel pedicure, I was led to pick my color and seated. I was than handed a list of pedicured to choose from- I requested the $35 one as it was the first on the list and the cheapest/is what I just asked for. I was mislead into picking a higher priced pedicure as that was not the $35 gel pedicure. That was a $35 pedicure without the gel. I had to pay them $50. I recommend going elsewhere as this was extremely unprofessional as he did not accommodate THEIR mistake. read more

Unfortunately, We had a bad experience having a gel polish manicure done today. I have been going to Lavender nails in Danbury on Federal Road since they opened and always a good job. We leave for a family wedding tomorrow and needed to get them done. My manicure was very good, my granddaughter not good. The woman cut her finger and could not polish her nails or paint a flower on them. She kept doing the polish and the fingers over and over and the nails all looked pitted. I asked for someone else to do the nails but they said they had other customers. They asked how everything was and I told them terrible and explained. I was charged the full $30.00 for her where I need to take her in the morning to another nail salon. I didn't want to embarrass the shop owner so I left and called in. The owner then apologized and said I would have a full credit the next time I came in. Very disappointed. It will be my last time. read more

My daughter and I had an appointment with Shine at 10am & 11am. He then said he had another appointment with someone else at 11am. He tells me to sit down at Wesley table. She did a terrible job on my nails. He was rushing to do my daughter's nails and also did terrible job. He apologized and gave her a $10.00 credit. I requested an appointment for myself as I had previously did my nails with him 3 weeks ago and in front of all his staff and clients he told me he was not confident to do my nails and told me he would not schedule an appointment. Went in for acrylics at 1:30. They said that there was nobody in to do them & to come back at 3:30. You would figure they would have at least 1 person in each position by the time they open. Nope! I already went there prior to get my brows done & they came out so patchy, they let some girl I've never even seen before do them. I went & complained that she did a poor job & by the looks of my eyebrows they could tell. The lady then proceeded to argue with the girl about it (the girl probably thought there was nothing wrong with them) & eventually she said "okay come to the back again" to finish them. Last minute decision to get a powder gel manicure and a regular pedi... BIG MISTAKE! The girl used the dead skin removal blade so rough I had to ask her to stop. Not to mention that she wasn't paying attention to what spot she was in and went over it until it bled. Powder gel manicure felt rushed and again very rough. Was not relaxing at all. With tip this was a $90 day... then as if it couldn't get worse, my toes chipped by day 3 and my nails started to fall apart on day 4... so disappointed!!!!!! read more

Just went here to get my eyebrows done. A girl named Ivy was doing them and she had her cellphone on hold the whole time she was waxing me. She hurried through the waxing and didn't bother plucking my eyebrows. (They look terrible and I'll have to pluck them when I get home) Also went here a month ago for a mani and it didn't last more than a day. This is a two party review as they provide two different services. One side is nails and the other is massage and reflexology. The nail side is drab, and could use an update. The mani/pedi's are like any other place of it's kind, it's quick, cheap, and no-frills. If it isn't busy, you might get a quick neck massage. I wasn't happy when I realized that the nail files aren't cleaned and sanitized between clients, so I won't be going back there for my nails. Now the massage and reflexology were a pleasant surprise. It has a soothing atmosphere. I've had both the chair massage and foot reflexology. The chair massage wasn't bad for a chair massage. The foot reflexology is well worth having!! I used to go here a lot and went back yesterday for the first time in a couple of years for a gel/shellac pedicure and manicure. It's really gone downhill. Took them 1.25 hrs to do the 'basic' pedicure, after which they made me wait an additional 15 minutes before starting my manicure -- all while making me sit there with foil and nail polish remover on my fingers. For an hour? Ridiculous! I finally pulled it all off myself and started doing my own nails after sitting there so long. The place was empty when I walked in, but then during my pedicure it began to fill up, so I got pushed to the back of the line. My manicure was so rushed that they sent me out with ragged edges on almost every nail - I had to file them again when I got home. Most alarming was that the girl was so rough with the buffing that she cut into my cuticles twice -- they hurt so bad today that I felt compelled to comment here on Yelp -- not something I normally do. Anyhow, it's just not the same as it was a few years ago. I won't be back. read more

On the recommendation of a friend, I booked a reflexology session for my spouse and myself today. WOW, it was amazing! For $29, you get an hour of authentic reflexology. The massage side of this business was closed off and very zen. You get your own private space. The temperature was perfect and there was relaxing Asian music playing overhead. The session starts with a foot soak and approx. 10 minutes of back/neck/shoulder massage. Then you lay back in the chair and get 50 minutes of hard-core foot massage and reflexology. They go in HARD, and I mean that in a good way. Good lotions, and the session ended with some hot stone massage. You cannot beat the price. Our reflexologists were Kevin and Michael and both were friendly and professional. Can't wait to go back!! read more

I came here once from a high recommendation. Never going back again. I asked for a gel manicure, guaranteed the woman doing it had no level of comprehension of what I asked for. I'm not too picky when it comes to things to be quite honest with you - I try to see the positives out of things but everything about the way she did my nails was wrong. She had absolutely no idea what she was doing, putting way too many coats and messing up my nails, leaving too much nail polish to stain my cuticles and my nails sticky. It came out terrible. I literally stared at her and said, "take it off. This doesn't look good at all." As nice as I could so she did. Still was charged the complete amount even when dissatisfied. Super pissed because my nails didn't even get done. I told them I'd never come back for making me pay for a gel manicure nonetheless that came out to be $25 for one that I made them take off. They're good with pedicure massages and precise on polishing. They were busy when I got there on a Saturday but they took me as a walkin within 5 minutes. Good choices of nail polish - OPI and Essie. The lotions that they use smell good too so the place isn't full of fumes like in some places. Also, last time I went, I went in an hour before they closed and they rushed. They rushed to the point where they did not remove my cuticles at all.
