Ever since I moved to CT I've been on the search for a staple nail salon & I have found it! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted, asked what I wanted and sat to get serviced. I went in with a design in mind for my birthday nails and K killed it! It was exactly what I asked for and was so happy with how they came out. I also got a regular pedicure, which was also amazing. Vicky did my pedicure and took her time which I appreciated. The staff were also incredibly sweet. Things that stood out to me were how clean the salon was, the numerous products/services they have and the vibe. The prices are also good and reasonable. I definitely recommend paying cash unless you don't mind paying a fee to use a card. I'm glad I took a chance on them, won't be going anywhere else! read more

I really like this place. They give an excellent 10 minute massage with just about every nail service. They are friendly. The last time I went for a pedicure and manicure and I was there for almost 2 hours. It was a Saturday afternoon. It was $45, but five dollars extra because I did a French tip. This time just a regular gel manicure and I was there for about a half an hour. 25They do not except tips on your debit or credit card so you have to bring cash. read more

She got a pedi and a SNS gel powder mani and i got only the SNS gel powder .... the price was amazing AND my nails are super strong and in love with how they look!!! They did a really good job but their prices don't match up with what they say. They tell you one thing in the beginning and then charge you for a bunch of things you never asked for at the end. I suggest going somewhere else or if you do adventure here have them write down what they are charging you through out the process..... I absolutely love this salon. I moved out of state about 4 years ago and always make a point to come here to have my nails done when I'm visiting. Pedicures at any price level are detailed and well done, cnd gel nail extensions look so beautiful and natural, the salon is clean and calm ( no constant chatter like some) and prices are incredibly reasonable. I'm so surprised by the negative reviews from the past, but I guess they fixed what others complained about. I always call ahead so I know if there's a wait, and if there is they are very upfront about it. Almost every time I've gone over the last 6-8 months they take me right away. The main woman by the register is AMAZING at my acrylics. I never have to tell her to do anything different, not sure if it's because her style is what I like or she remembers me from my first visit. Whenever I get a pedicure they give the most amazing massages (spurge the extra $ for the 10 min massage) and their callous eliminator is perfection. I moved to Waterbury and still come here because the level and quality of service they give me. I almost don't want to post this because I want to keep tto myself but they deserve the praise. read more

Some parts are see through and some you can see the solid color - the place inside is looking old and not too clean - will ask you to pay before they start for no reason, like if they were tryna match the quality of their service to how much you tip. I've always been going here since forever. They have the kindest staff and the most affordable prices in the area!!! I get acrylic sets here for $30 and the technician always does an impeccable job. The experience is wonderful. I got to college in queens but have yet to find a salon there that is as good as U2, so I just wait until I'm home for a break to come to U2. If I could give zero I would. HOT MESS. They should just close. Gel manicure. Within 6 hours first layers were peeling off. Layer below still wet and sticky. Lost four nails in 24 hours. Went to a real salon to fix. Took 45 minutes to get the stuff off my nails. Terrible. Waste of time and money. Don't even try it. read more

WORST place I've ever gotten my nails done. The guy rushed the whole time, gave a messy manicure and left me with paint all over my cuticles. Maybe that's because he dry cut my cuticles, leaving them looking like I did it myself left handed after a bottle of wine. Then my full pedicure consisted of him rubbing my feet roughly, cutting my nails back, barely filing them and then painting them sloppily. Didn't touch my cuticles once... Next he sat me at the dryer and then stood there telling me to pay right now, and then stood over me fidgeting while I signed the paper...it made me super uncomfortable and rushed. After they dry, I look down and notice the paint all over my uncut cuticles and smudges. Long story short, I bring it up to him that I paid for a full pedicure and I was confused. He just shrugged and looked away and continued what he was doing.... He then continues to tell my friend later that he did rush.... No apology, no offer to fix anything....just shrugged. I'm never one to Yelp, but this guy treated me like garbage and I think people have a right to know this place only cares about quantity and NOT QUALITY. read more

I have been here many times because it's inexpensive - only $25 for a mani/pedi. I only go about once a month. The results are not consistent. I find that they often have people who are new or inexperienced. I can tell by the way they file my nails, which are thin. They can't withstand very rough filing. I have to direct the activity, usually. Also, I don't like how half of the chairs they have are not facing the TV. There is nothing to look at. And, most of the time, there is nothing of interest on their TV. It's either sports or junk TV. I like more interesting stuff. PBS, CNN, maybe Sunday Morning life stories - which are usually neutral stories. Sometimes, the massage is good, sometimes, lame. For $25, it's just fine. read more

(incredible) they use hot stone during your pedi and parafin wax during your mani. i couldn't get that around here at "the best" spas or nail salons. I went to the salon last week with a friend, it was around 4pm and not busy at all,only one guest in there. We went in for a mani pedi and taken right away to the pedicure station. My friend hada female technician and I was given a male technician. Right from the start my technician had no idea what he was doing, my pedicure took over an hour. While mine was finally finishing up my friend was already halfway done her manicure. At this point I'm getting so frustrated. I get to the manicure chair and sit down, again only for the technician to go extremely slow and constantly messing up. All around me were other technicians that were on their cell phones or watching tv, even the head manager was on his phone and paying no attention to what was going on, no one stepped in to help this young man. I finally had to say stop and just give me a clear coat because I had already been there 2 hours and my friend had already been done 45 minutes before me waiting. I'm extremely disappointed in the service I received, this company is so quick to get you to pay for the services and you feel totally obligated to tip even though your not even done. This business has some some serious professionalism issues. Will not return. read more

DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY. I will never go there again. I rarely ever yelp but I had such a bad experience at this nail salon I HAD to warn others. I cannot believe this place is still open; it is incredibly un-sanitary from the dust, rust and old nail clippings stuck in the clippers and cuticle cutters to the nasty collection of dust/peeled paint/and overall "gunk" in crevices and on surfaces all over the salon. GROSS. Aside from all of that, the nail tech i had was terrible and had no idea what she was doing. They have crappy customer service, everyone is down and lacking any kind of positive or friendly energy, and obviously-it's level of sanitation is hazardous. Never again. Shut this place down or clean it the hell up. read more
