Such a great establishment, I always go here and my nails come out exactly as I want them. Everyone is very kind and pay great attention to details. They also have the lowest prices around. I would 1000% recommend this business over the other nail salons that I have tried in the area. read more

Nina Nail Spa - Light pink gel nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Newtown, Connecticut

I got a UV gel fill, and the technician replaced one tip. She mentioned that next time I would need to have them removed because they were grown out, but reassured me they would still last about two weeks. I was charged extra for the tip replacement. Three days later, two nails broke. When I went back, I was told I would need to pay $5.50 per nail because it wasn't their fault due to my nails being grown out underneath. They also said they weren't sure why the employee had told me they would last two weeks. I ended up paying $11 to fix two nails less than five days after my appointment. While another employee did give a short back massage, I was still asked to tip. Unfortunately, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

A must go to nail salon. No extra fees for full service. Pedicure was the best. I've tried the other highly recommended places here in Newtown, Nina's exceeded. My new pedicure and nail salon. August 30% off!!! I had pedicure and eyebrows done $28 they received a great tip from me. Absolutely found a wonderful friendly nail salon. read more

I was overcharged $10 on my credit card. I came for a gel manicure and left a 20% tip. Will never come back.

Fantastic mani-pedi experience, especially for the price! The space is bright and clean, and the nail technicians were thorough and spent extra time on the massage! 10/10 would recommend read more

I got a gel manicure and the next day noticed my nails were starting to chip. Now four days later, half of my nails are chipped and broken. I went here because my regular spot was overbooked. Will not return. read more

They take their time. Very relaxing, seat you right away. Make an appointment, though they do accept walk ins. Not pushy in any way. Just relaxing and quiet, and long. Also I get my eyebrows done here every time by different people. They are always amazing read more

I've gone to Ninas for years. I've never had a bad experience. They are always friendly and helpful. My nails are always perfect when I leave. The salon is amazingly clean. I couldn't image Newtown without Nina! read more

I don't know if it's the person I got but my entire experience felt really half assed, I just got a pedicure and she really didn't care, I got my feet and legs rubbed for like a min maybe , she honestly seemed annoyed I was even there. And no matter how many times I told her the water was burning me she didn't change it or care. Also the bullshit shoulder massage lasted all of 35 seconds. My nails did come out perfectly fine but the experience leading up to it was very lackluster and underwhelming I don't even know why my mom comes here probably because they give you a free 10% off coupon every time to get you to come back read more

This is the BEST nail salon and the only one I go to in this area. I will admit when you first start going there it doesn't seem like the friendliest place but once you get to know Nina and the staff they treat you like royalty. They get busy which is why its hard for walk ins at certain times but if you call ahead even ten minutes she puts your name on the list and i've never waited for more than five minutes. The manicures, pedicures and gel are the best i've ever found. A couple times i've gone to random places and HATED it compared to here. Love Nina Nails! read more

First of all what happened to saying hello can we help you? Or even a how are you..? But as I walk in the lady yells "do you have an appointment" I say "no I don't." She says " we only take appointments". Was pretty rude, I guess they hate walk ins. Didn't even ask if I wanted to make an appointment . I will never go back! read more

The Clare and sanitizing is so clear when u walk in- thank I for keeping us safe Nina!

I had a very positive experience. In fact when they painted my toes it lasted 3 weeks. It was the paint job ever. I love that they give you individual attention. I would highly recommend this salon. read more

This is the worst pedicure I ever had! The woman seemed angry. Angry because it was obvious I was overdue fora pedi?Angry because she was supposed to go to lunch? Doesn't matter. She was rough and definitely in a hurry. Usually I relax, enjoy the massaging chair, read... I could not relax. It took all of my willpower not to walk out. I work in the area and will not recommend them to anyone. 0 stars read more

The selection of regular polish is awful. Opi or Essie-brands that always chip quickly. I had a gift certificate, the only reason I was there, and just got a basic mani pedi. My toes seem fine but 24 hours later my nails are already chipping. I've done nothing unusual. The tech also messed up or something on my thumb, and put acetone on her finger and rubbed my nail and proceeded to paint over still wet acetone. She also didn't even wrap the tips. No wonder the rating here is so low. This place needs a major upgrade in service or should close. read more

I can not even give them one star. I received a gift certificate two years ago for my birthday and went for a pedicure and the girl was not only extremely rude, she completely cut off both of my pinky toenails! I thought perhaps I might give them another try, due to the close proximity of my home, 2 weeks ago. I thought try again maybe it was just the poor ability of one manicurist. They did not deserve the benefit of the doubt. I got up and walked out when the girl tried to use dirty instruments on me that I just saw her using on the client before me! Completely unhygienic! Never again. read more

Atmosphere is nice. Nail tech was nice but the owner was rude when I asked if she had opi gel. They do not. Only shellac which is cheaper and doesn't look as nice. She then told me "it's bad for nails and she doesn't like it" -decided to just get a regular mani pedi, but will not come back. Had a hard time picking my polish because they were all half empty and did not look fresh. No price list on the wall...not worth $40 for a regular manicure and light pedicure. read more

If you want an efficient, clean, and long lasting mani/pedi, then head to Nina Nails. I've been going to Nina Nails for years now, and I'm never disappointed. They have fantastic pedicure chairs, and the extra massage time on a pedicure is worth it. They have a variety of gel nail colors which lasts for at least 2-3 weeks (to stretch it). This small town nail salon is worth a visit. read more

Had the SLN non damaging gel put on my nails that should have lasted for two plus weeks but didn't last for a week. I went in to speak with them to see how to get this corrected. They only will guarantee a week and go against the manufactures guarantee of two weeks. Very rude. No business sense at all with the guy I spoke to who was rude when a call came in and pretended I wasn't standing there at the desk anymore. Save your money. These salons have become terrible in this area with the rudeness of these people who come here and have a great opportunity but still don't get what service is all about. Sad. read more

I had a very terrible experience. I went in and I was getting a pedicure and gel manicure that day with my friend. When I was getting a pedicure the women was very rough on my, and everything was very rushed. My pedicure was in total of maybe 15 minutes. Then we moved onto my nails. Just want to point out that my friend was ONLY getting a gel manicure and by the time I was finished with my gel manicure AND pedicure the nail women was still doing my friends gel manicure. I remember the women's name, but I respect her enough to not say it on here. But then when I went to pay I told the person that I left my 20% coupon at home and asked if they could honor it and they just laughed in my face! My whole experience was very unsatisfying and not relaxing at all!!!! read more

I have being going to Nina's since they opened. Nina and her staff are kind, efficient, clean, and friendly. They always do a terrific job with either manicures or pedicures. read more

Very unfriendly staff and poor quality manicure. Uneven polish, lumpy and really needed a second coat. I guess it matches my newly macerated cuticles though. The location is convenient but next time I will go a little further for better quality. Not worth it. read more

Very disappointed in my pedicure was OK but when my toes were drying no one even came over they gave the lady next to me a massage and neglected me read more

I've been going to Nina Nails for years as do most of my friends and family. I'm not sure what these previous reviews expected however I can tell you with certainty it is a professional environment, friendly, and Nina goes out of her way to accommodate as much as she can. The technicians that work there are not only very skilled but also very pleasant and caring! read more

Very rude help. My daughter and I wanted mani-pedi(s) a half-hour before closing time...the owner was welcoming, but the girls were angry and went out of their way to make us feel imposing and uncomfortable. read more

I love this nail salon! Best place in town! Always friendly and always smiling!!!

I will only go there if someone purchases a gift certificate for me. The owner is so rude and you cannot feel relaxed in a spa when the workers are rude and act as if they have something better to do. Go next door to Newtown Nail Spa for kind workers and a great service read more

Owner has a major mean attitude treating her nail techs like slaves. The atmosphere carries over to the clients to the point you are afraid to talk because she gives you a dirty look. Who charges $100 for a full set of gel nails and says it is because they are UV? All artificial nails are UV! The pedicure is rushed and the tech kept sighing as if I was a bother. There are so many other places to have your nails done, and this is not a pleasant salon. read more

I love Ninas. I have been a loyal customer for over 4 years now and have used all of her services from Gel nails to tips, pedicures, waxing and massage. Her studio is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and a step up in class from the other studios in the area. I always get excellent service and always love my nails, eyebrows, etc. It makes me sad that people feel that Nina is rude - she is lovely and always greets me with a big smile and "hello". She is a wonderful business woman - and I fully support my local business owners. She always checks my manicurist during my session to make sure that they are doing excellent quality work and frequently offers me special discounts for being a good customer. If you skip Nina's because of a few disgruntled customers (who are all that normally ever leave reviews) then you are missing out on a Newtown gem. read more

I love Nina's. I have gone there ever since they opened and have always received great service. Sure, Nina can be a little gruff sometimes, but that is just her way. She runs a tight, clean salon with employees who, when treated with respect, can be counted on to provide great service. I disagree with the reviews that say the workers are rude. Focused yes, but rude, no. I have no comment regarding getting the nail sets. I have never had that service done. Only mani, pedi, and leg waxing. I recently moved out of state and I have yet to find a place that comes close to the quality of Nina's. read more
