honestly I got gel tips and 3 fell off after a week. they left a hair in my nail and paint was leaking from the white onto the base when i did french. made me pay extra for 2 nails to come off that didn't need to be removed.

This is the BESt salon in Newtown.(I've tried all!) Extremely clean and cautious staff take temp and ask that customers use sanitizer upon arrival. Excellent work- they offer paint, gel and powder options and are constantly updating their colors. The staff is friendly and gentle and their chair massages are AWESOME! This was, unfortunately, my least favorite nail experience I've had. First, the staff wasn't very friendly which I'd be ok with if the service was good. However, the manicure was painful, super aggressive with the tools and didn't stop when I mentioned it was painful a few times. The nails came out uneven and cracked within days. I asked for pink acrylic nails with both pointer fingers with a design.My nail person was very careful to get the exact design and the nails are super gorgeous and high quality.The vibe is an average nail place.I saw they also had massage chairs.Pretty good price for what i got definitely would come again. 5 stars. read more

Best nail salon around. Gina and the team treat everyone with kindness and provide expert and reliable service. The salon is always extremely clean and has gone above and beyond to meet all Covid protocols. The regular pedicure is more like a spa pedicure at other places. The powder manicure lasts over 2 weeks and I'm rough on my nails. Love Gina's! read more

I took my mom here for a Mother's Day treat today and couldn't have had a better experience! Everyone was so nice, and the attention to detail during just the basic $25 pedicure was amazing. It included leg and foot massage, exfoliating your legs, warmed moisturizer, hot stone massage, and a shoulder/neck massage while your feet are under the dryer. Such a clean, relaxing place and the owner, Gina, is so friendly and welcoming! I live out-of-state, but will come back here when I can! read more

Absolutely love it here. Felt very comfortable and safe going in after opening back up after Covid shut down. Temp checks, sanitizing and proper distancing. They are always kind and welcoming to everyone who comes in. Wish I could go every week! Feels good to get back to normal a bit. read more

It is now Gina's Nail & Spa...I have had terrible experiences in Monroe lately so while out one day, I decided to try a salon in Newtown. I COULD NOT be happier with my decision. This place was spic-and-span, prompt and professional. No one blathering in your ear, relaxed atmosphere and precise. It was by far my best salon experience in Fairfield County!!! My toes were painted meticulously, and my massage...WOW! at least 15 minutes PER LEG/FOOT! Then I received another massage when all was done on my neck/back. I hope they keep up the excellent services! read more

Gina's is AMAZING. Gina herself is warm, friendly and amazingly good at remembering people. Coming in always feels like an important part of my homecoming when I visit my parents. The staff are so good and their work is impeccable. The pedicures are out of this world--even the basic pedicure comes with a scrub, lotion and hot stone. And the massages with the manicure/pedicure are so relaxing. If you need a good nail salon, Gina's is the one. read more

I have always been pampered when I get my manicures and pedicures at Gina's. The staff and owner are very attentive. The atmosphere serene. I come in stressed from days events for some personal time taking care of me, single mom of four, consultant, home manager, etc... Love the high quality nail products and their nail technicians. Bad mani-pedi. Place was empty but I got minimal treatment. Cut my cuticle til it bled then went after the site with gauze & polish remover til I squirmed. Awful. Just horrible. read more

I went today with my daughter. What a great experience. They took time with the pedicures providing a long foot/leg massage for both of us. While waiting for the pedicures to dry, we had a nice neck massage with warm towels. All this with just a regular pedicure. The spa was clean and bright. read more

I had the worst experence at this nail salon. My girls and I went in for a mani and pedi. The lady was rude to me and them. My daughters nails chipped after only a few hours. And I had a crying 3 year old. I would never suggest this salon to my friends and family. read more

If wedding makeup is only done for groups maybe the website can be a little clearer on that or let the receptionist know it's a policy so people don't waste their time . I stopped at Riccis's on a weekend, the gentleman at the front desk was very knowledgeable and and spent a good amount of time helping me book my appointment, I specifically asked for someone that was good with blondes and adding some funky color, like purple. He said that Taylor would be good for me. Needless to say, I was so excited to get my hair done, as it had been a long time. I arrived on time for my appointment. When my stylist came to greet me, I could immediately tell that she did not have good energy. As someone who had never been there, or having been a new customer to the stylist, Taylor, I was expecting her to greet me with a modicum of excitement, even a smile. She did not. I followed her back to her chair and sat down. As I was explaining, mind you, the EXACT SAME THING, that I had discussed with the scheduler, she looked right at me and said, "if we do that, the color will bleed everywhere". I have being going to a salon for MANY years and have had purple color in my hair for at least 8 years, it has never bled everywhere. Not once. I thought, not a deal breaker, I moved on to the blonde color, she then told me that she didn't know if she would have time to do the entire head. I was a little taken a back because this appointment was scheduled based on the time it would take to do the ENTIRE head and put color in, because why was I there if she could not do anything I asked?. I wasn't rude, I maintained my composure and tone, I simply said, "Clearly you don't want to do my hair and there was a breakdown in communication somewhere from making the appointment to showing up, so I will be leaving". Taylor did not say one word, not an apology, not anything to fix this wrong, that she caused. This was the most UNPROFESSIONAL hair stylist that I have ever been to. She did not apologize; she did NOTHING to make me comfortable and quite frankly, she was INCREDIBLY rude. I am sure the owner was notified, if not, that is shameful, but someone should have reached out to me to attempt to right this wrong, or, at the VERY LEAST, apologize. Taylor is the most unprofessional person that I have ever met and she should NOT be working with the public if that is the way she treats her customers. Shame on Ricci's for employing her.

Hello, I was recommended Gina's by my hair dresser whole I obviously trust. I got a gel pedicure and IM IN LOVE! -The staff was great, friendly, chatty, communicated well - Maria took her time and didn't rush me out, she cleaned up my cuticles and the rest of my toes, carefully, and without injury, she did multiple layers of the gel and the work looks flawless -The quality of work was great! - The spa very very clean Booked another apt will upload gel extension photos as well! :D read more

My back hurts bad so I drive over and the girl was strangely rude to me. Ignored me when I spoke to her and asked if she could do deep tissue, no hello or anything and then she starts lightly rubbing my shirt not even really my back. You couldn't get lint off my shirt like that it was really that light. After a couple of tries she got someone to come over who then tells me she's new to this and to give her a chance. I'm sorry but this is supposed to be helpful to me. Dont you need an education to charge for massages? So I said this won't work and left. Luckily I was able to find a real massage place to take care of me.
