They are RACIST here. I'm a well educated, financially stable BLACK woman. They did not close until 7pm. I arrived at 554pm. There were 2 clients only and I was told that they could not do my nails and I needed an appointment. One of the clients was almost done getting her nails done. I left the shop and sat in the car looking for another nearby salon on my phone and in walks another customer. As I am driving to get out of the parking lot I ask the man "did she have an appointment?" He tells me no. Yet they were serving this white woman with no appointment. Very disheartening experience. The nail tech cut my toe nails without even asking, and made them so short they're still painful (and I had them done 2 days ago) I kept complaining about how my pedicure was going & got ignored! Odd vibe in the salon. Almost too quiet. The women doing the pedicures were socializing with each other and very distracted. During the foot massage part the woman helping me stopped for about a minute paying attention to a customer being helped in the front just staring off into space. Wasn't my favorite experience and she was really rough on my feet. I wasn't planning on leaving a review because not every experience is a good one, but I have terrible foot fungus out of nowhere and all the skin is peeling off my feet and itchy. Fantastic salon in Monroe with phenomenal service and treatments. Song (sorry if I spelled wrong), the lovely proprietor and her husband are friendly and make a point to know their customers. I've been several times for pedicures, and my friend and her family are regulars. The staff is professional and the pedi's were perfect. The massage chairs are a plus, as are the leg massages. It's taken me a while to write this review because I've been keeping this salon all to myself! But after bringing my sister, cousin, and friends here, I have to share with the world. Juicy salon is fantastic. It is clean, uncluttered, freshly decorated, and sanitary. The prices are great. I can usually walk in and get a pedicure right away. But the best part is the massages. As part of every pedicure, they set a timer and give an incredible foot massage- like, amazing. While your nails dry, they also use a hot towel to give every client a neck and shoulder massage. The management is friendly, kind, and attentive (although I can also sit and read a book unbothered if I want to). My feet look beautiful after each visit, I usually get Essie Fiji and it turns out perfect every time. When a friend visits me who has been here before, they beg to go back. My recently deceased husband purchased a gift certificate for me at Oasis Salon in Monroe CT before he became ill. Helping him through his challenging health journey, I didn't have time to get my nails done. However, last spring when my granddaughter was christened, I needed to get a manicure. Realizing Oasis was now Juicy Nail Salon, I called ahead to see if the gift certificate would be honored. The owner clearly said that it would. I went in and used the gift certificate and had a balance of 83 dollars. Since my husband has passed away, I went in yesterday to use a portion of the balance again. When it was time to pay, the owner and his wife starting yelling "no no!" for everyone in the salon to hear. The impression given was that I was lying!! I decided not to argue with these rude people who apparently have no concern for customer service or courtesy and paid for the services! I will never return to that salon! Pricey, but worth it. My friend and I were in the area for a weekend trip, and decided that after a llama hike, pedicures were a necessity. The service was great: a thorough pedicure, hot stones, a nice massage, etc. Two things could have made this a 5-star review: 1 - There were no posted signs that tips couldn't be added to a credit card; and 2- the prices on the brochure didn't include tax (maybe that's a CT thing?). It was only sightly annoying to see that the advertised $30 pedicure was actually $31.91. read more

I have been going to Juicy Nails since the winter, since then I had noticed the owner named Danny is very rude to his employees and often to the clients. I had an incident with him once regarding a nail repair, he charged me a certain amount the first time and a different higher amount the second time around. I did not think this was fair and I told him about it and he simple ignored me and got angry about it. I am upset because I love the staff there but his recent behavior towards everyone is upsetting to me. I am a paying client and I should be treated with respect at all times. Fantastic experience? Amazing staff? Favorite nail salon?? Amazing leg massages? Massaging chair?? Give me a break. I wouldn't recommend this place for a mani and pedi to anyone. I had the WORST experience ever. A couple of friends and I went there to get mani and pedi done for our mutual friend's wedding. From the moment we went in, they were rushing to get us out of there. The nails technician couldn't speak, not to mention understand, English. She wasn't very professional at all. We requested our nails to be done the certain way. Not only didn't she pay attention but she also made the whole relaxing experience, well PAINFUL, literally. As far as I'm concerned, your experience at a nail salon is supposed to be relaxing, at least. I'm not at all impressed with their staff or the massaging machines they have there. It is ridiculously expensive. The experience is not worth every dollar and every minute you spend there. If you choose to go to this salon over other salons, it wouldn't be the wisest decision. read more
