I've been in here many times due to convenience and have never been disappointed - we always call ahead for a reservation, and they fit us in. The lemon pedicure spa is affordable and they use real lemons! My 5 stars is actually mostly due to the man who works there, and his massages...I got a 5 minute massage while waiting for my nails to dry, and have since been back 4 times specifically for his massages and pedicures. It's honestly one of the best massages I've had in my life, and I lived with massage school students. Mediocre at best (3 stars for cleanliness and customer service). We were 2 of 3 people in the whole place and my manicure was horrible. Cuticles look like crap, nails were filed unevenly and at weird angles. And the polish is messy and doesn't even cover the whole nail on some fingers. Listen, I used to go to a place in the trumbull mall and was looking for some place nicer that wouldn't rush. I got MORE than what I was looking for. At polished nails and spa I received 100% attention, I got massages on my legs, feet, neck, shoulders, arms and hands all while being pampered for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I've been going to Polished Nail & Spa for a few months now and have gotten the powder gel manicures and have been so happy. First time getting a french the other day and I love the results. I've had a different person each time and they've each done a wonderful job. I've had no chipping over the course of two weeks or so and the only reason for getting it redone was because my nails grew so the gap between my cuticle and the gel looked funny. Had a fantastic experience here! At $25 for a pedicure was a great deal along with a complimentary five minute massage with your choice of lotion. They had a great range of lotion from lemon verbena to lavender. Also had a great range of polish selection from regular to gel. While painting your nails, they do parrafjn wax on the heels. Another few minutes of massage while getting nails dried. What an absolute find! Great hospitality, would highly recommend popping in if you're nearby. My nail tech was a gentleman and the job was very sloppy. He didn't seem to have a good grasp on painting nails because the area around my cuticles looked terrible. read more

I'm so disappointed because I really wanted to like this place as I find the interior clean, relaxing, and reminiscent of a spa. I came here once and got a SNS pedicure. It was cute but twice as expensive as my normal salon in Norwalk, and how they initially explained the break down to me was confusing as I thought she was saying 25 for regular pedicure and 40 for SNS pedicure. What she meant was 25 PLUS 40! So I decided to go back and just get a regular pedicure. So they removed the SNS nails not to standard. I've been doing SNS for a year - protocol is you soak in remover and after 5-10 minutes they naturally roll off with some help from a cotton ball. This was unbeknownst to them as the lady spent 25 minutes soaking, grinding, and even taking a metro card (so unsanitary) to force the separation by sticking it between my nail and the SNS pedicure. She filed my skin and cut me with the cuticle trimmer several times. The color was pretty, the salon has a spa feel, but I will not be coming back. read more

The person doing my nails seemed to have little training as he watched and followed along with what another technician was doing. He also filed my cuticles rather than cut them which was and still is painful! My and my friend's nail technician were switched with new people right in the middle of our manicures. People were sharing instruments and polish back and forth, not very sanitary. read more

My nails chipped 1 day after my gel manicure and they say you have 10 days to get it fixed, but when you go to get it fixed they do not actually fix anything. I went in today for a pedicure and my mother had a gel manicure. We were greeted warmly. The salon was very nice, modern and most importantly clean! Plastic liners used in foot soaking tub. George did a great job on my pedicure. My mother was very happy with her gel manicure. When done with our nails both my mother and I got a shoulder massage. I've been to this nail salon many times before! The nail salon was very clean and nice but this time I had a really unpleasant experience with the lady that was doing my pedicure. The lady asked if I wanted her to do my calluses for $10 extra and I said yes, but then she didn't do anything and started painting my nails. So I said something and she got very mad that she had to redo that part of the pedicure yet she was sure willing to have me pay for it. Overall not very impressed. read more
