I moved to Stratford CT from NY last year and I have been to probably just about every salon in Stratford. I couldn't seem to find a spot who can execute a basic gel mani or dip mani. This spot was my last hope lol and thank God i gave them a try! i walked in and was seated right away even tho they looked quite busy (Friday). a nail tech got to me within ten minutes and she was soooooo thorough. she took her time and was gentle while working on my cuticles. my gel mani came out so clean. I'm used to nail techs rushing thru my mani especially on a busy afternoon but this wasn't the case. super happy with my experience. read more

Do not believe the facade that this place cares about COVID. I came in today and watched one of their customers sit in the salon for over an hour with NO MASK ON. I hate wearing a mask just as much as the next person, but why was it okay for this lady to not wear one while the rest of us acted with class and followed by the rules? I got the impression that the staff was afraid of this woman as she was rude, loud and obnoxious talking on her phone the entire time. It was a miserable experience and I couldn't wait to leave. PLEASE do not go to this place! First time customer, they scrapped off skin on my 12 yo daughters foot. If her wound gets worse or get some pus (I hope not), I would sue for the very first time in my life!!! Seriously, they don't seem to know what they are doing! I had a pedicure done here for the first time and developed fungus on my 2 big toes. AND both big toes are now growing sideways, requiring rather painful .surgery. I've had numerous pedicures at many different places and this is the first time this has ever happened. My advice? RUN!!! Find a different salon before you suffer like I have. read more

This was a very interesting experience for my mom and I. We came in for a pedicure, we sat in the chair and they started filling the pedicure bath. We're used to a place where they line the tub with a plastic bag...that didn't happen here. They did NOT open the tools from a new, sterile package. She got them out of a box that they look they use for everyone. When she was finished with the tool they used a random spray bottle, sprayed it once on the cutter and then just put it back in the box. Super grossed out. They also were literally yelling to each other and possibly arguing so loudly during the entire pedicure. So unprofessional. One of the women was setting a new ringtone on her phone and was playing them on full volume for 10 minutes. Definitely wouldn't come back. read more

When I walked into "Beautiful Nail's " I was surprised at the amount of business on a Monday afternoon. The place was full and the energy was positive. The woman who asked me what service I wanted was upbeat, sweet and open for conversation. A delight ! She gave me an amazing manicure. Attitude is everything to be in business today, especially with the internet and reviews. Everyone seemed happy including the customers. Some of the detail was lacking but a smile certainly took care of that. It's hidden in a shopping center in the back but parking is easy and free. They use a power tool on your feet. This was totally new to me, but I didn't hate it. The manicure was well done and lasted a little over a week, which is what I expected. A friend of mine recommended this place so I went for a regular manicure and pedicure. Well I guess if you are a long time regular you get top notch treatment here . As a first time customer I was not at all impressed. Was told they don't take appointments on Fri. or Sat. yet there were 2 regulars who showed up before the place opened along with four of us already waiting . The two were rudely talking amongst themselves about how they were told to come at 8:45 by the owner and then low and behold they were taken right away by one of the owners at opening time while the four of us were clearly there first before them. When it was finally my turn the other owner was available to take me ,but I was quickly pawned off to another girl so she could work on one of her regular customers. The girl who worked on me was very distracted and actually no lie talked on her phone loudly in her language to her relatives pretty much the whole entire time she was working on me. Very, very unprofessional and not one of the owners said anything to her and I didn't feel it was my place to do so .I felt like walking out without paying while I was sitting waiting for my nails to dry since they probably wouldn't of even noticed plus it actually took over two hours,way too long .The price was fine and I still gave the girl a tip . I am honest, polite ,and professional So I will never go back to this place which clearly does not operate that way nor will I tell anyone else new to go there. read more
