The fish tank glass was cleaner than the dividers between me and the technician. Dried White drippy stuff on it and spatters all on the other ones. It does not look like they clean the plastic dividers ever. Also while I was there they did not clean their work station in between clients. The workstation I sat had all Nail dust on it I did not realize it until the technician started to takeoff my nail polish and I felt all that Sandy debris on my hand I asked her to clean it off for me and she did. After my technician was finished with me she did not wash her hands she gave the lady sitting next to me a back rub and then went over to another client and gave her a back massage without washing her hands in between. I am very disappointed and did not enjoy my manicure at all because of all the things that I saw. read more

This is my fourth time going to read Cherry Hill spa. They truly never disappoint. I always opt for the lavender or honey treatment which includes a 20 minute foot massage. The techs are very kind and I always feel relaxed and comfortable at this location. I've tried several other nail spas, since I moved to Connecticut and I'd have to say this is definitely the one I come back to. It is worth the 20 minute drive from my home. I don't like to leave bad reviews but the service here was absolutely terrible. I went for a set and the nail polish looked very bad and then two nails fell off a day later. I later went to get them fixed again and then a few hours later two of them fell off again. I went back in today so they could fix them and the lady was very rough and did them carelessly she didn't even give the nail a shape when the rest are square. Definitely don't recommend and will not be returning. read more

I have gone to this place for about 2 years now. The staff know me (and my wife) and are always super friendly and have my nails looking beautiful by the time I'm done. I've only had one issue with my nails where the topcoat of my power nails peeled off. I called in and they had me stop by and fixed it for NO CHARGE! Also, I do not have a specific nail tech, just because all of them are so consistent with their procedures and talented that I have full confidence walking in that I'll walk out feeling refreshed and relaxed with a beautiful pair of nails to lift my mood with. read more

By far, the worst pedicure I have ever received. The girl was rude after she tried to have me buy a more expensive pedicure when I just wanted a basic one. It literally was not even ten minutes in the chair and she was done. She rushed through it and slapped on the polish. When she asked me if I wanted a back massage, which other places not only offer this as part of the service, but it is at least a decent amount of time as well, she spent less than one minute in that as well. This is the only place around that offers powder gel that I'm in love with! Every time I get my tips off, I immediately come here :) BUT their pedicures aren't the best only because I left with my feet still feeling super dry!! I went home and had to clip a bunch of my toenails as well, definitely didn't pay to get my toes done for me to have to fix them an hour later.. BUYER BEWARE :So instead of going to the nail Spa in Fairfield i always go to. I decided to save aime money and go get a gel manicure for 25$. WELL WELL WELL. First she filed my nails so Hard and all the way into the nail bed that two of them Were bleeding this with a hand file. When i showed her she just smiled. No antiseptic she did nothing. Then she cleaned them with nail polish remover before polishing and every finger was on FIRE. SHE HAD RIPPED EVERY CUTICLE. So i decide to be nice. She polished my nails and i asked for the clear glitter in one. Well she proceeded to put it on a nail with no base color polish. Not on top of the polish. Smh. Lord have mercy. So We get past then she tells me she finished with no top coat over the polish. Nope need top coat. OMG NEVER AGAIN. I get hime and my fingers are throbbing bleeding and the hanging skin at nails beds are now shredded , dry and sore to the touch on all ten fingers. I called CHERRY NAILS at STATION SQUARE MAIN STREET STRATFORD. TO complain the owner told me to Come in he would see if he could fix them and give me a coupon. Well he put Neosporin on two bleeding and vitamin E on the other 8 said sorry but they can't fix this. And gave me a 10$ coupon. WHAT !!!!!!! Not even the cost of the services that resulted in this. OMG. I SPENT 30$ you give me 10$. Not at all a good look will never ever go back there so the 10$ is like 0$. I suggest no one goes there. While i was getting my nails done they also cut someones toes pretty badly. Very clean, quality work, and friendly staff. $6 for a standard color change, $10 for manicure, and it goes up from there. Their service is more contingent upon the types/quantity of services you get as a customer vs how much you're willing to tip, which is why I have them at 4 stars. I tipped a generous 4$ to my standard $6 color change (they make you pay before, and it's always an awkward dance if you tip before or after services rendered) and I got bare essentials regarding service. Most places when you color change will at least clean your nails and clip or file as necessary. (FYI: The difference between a manicure and color change is doing cuticle care.) aside from service they did a fantastic job and will most likely return again. read more

They sat me as if they were ready for me, however I patiently waited thirty minutes in a chair with my nail polish ready. Then a young lady started my nails and stopped in the middle, abruptly, and started helping some one else without saying any at all to me. Then a young man comes to finish, who was friendly however very inexperienced, and left my nails looking like I tried to do them myself, blindfolded. Nails are crooked, uneven, and one even zig-zags. You cannot beat the convenience of this place, open Sundays and they keep late hours which is perfect for me since I work 9-5 in Stamford. Their shellac manicure and pedicures last me for weeks. Always very friendly and the free bottle of water is a nice touch. read more

Went in for a manicure will never go back. I had gel polish left on my nails which they had to remove. The guy there didn't leave the remover on long enough so he just used the nail file on my nails to remove the gel to the point where I had to tell him to stop because he just kept filing them down to almost nothing. Then the color I picked out was all dried up so I had to pick this color which I was a little upset about and then I wanted silver glitter which was dried up as well and they didn't have another silver glitter so I had to get gold which I hate. And not to mention look at my nails after two days the polish is completely chip on every nail. Will never go back. read more

I went today for a powder gel manicure and a regular pedi. They have a great selection of colors which I like, but I also think this works against them as many of the colors are dried out. A new girl did my pedi and I could tell immediately that it wasn't going to go well. She didn't speak English at all so it was difficult to communicate how I wanted my nails cut and filed. The polish was kind of dried up and it took her several strokes to paint one nail. The lotion she used looked like she watered it down. I asked why it looked off and she didn't respond. I told her after the pedi that I wasn't going to get my powder gel mani. I figured she'd botch that up and I wasn't going to have my nails ruined. She must have said something to the owner because the owner came over and I explained briefly what my issue was. She offered to have David redo the pedi. I told her that it wasn't necessary and she said that David would do the powder gel mani. I relented and let David do the mani; it came out beautifully. I would highly recommend coming to David for services. I also appreciate the way that the owner tried to rectify the matter. I'm not sure if I'll be back, but if I am, I will ask only for David. read more

This nail salon is the best around with very reasonable prices! Mani and pedis are very good. I have had many different technicians and the only one I did not like was the tallest girl. She rushed a bit and my nails were a little messy. They do little extras too! They actually soak your nails, not done at many salons. You get parafen wax on your hands and the heels of your feet ever time. Unless they are extremely busy you get at least 2 massages, sometimes 3! Open on Sundays too!! read more

I am puzzled by some of the negative reviews. I have been going to Cherry for several years. I generally ask for the same tech and call ahead, so I don't have to wait for her to finish another customer. She always unwraps fresh sterilized instruments, a new file, new buffer, fresh cotton and foil. She never rushes no matter how busy they are. We practice English together! I recently came to Red Cherry nails and was absolutely appalled! I got a pedicure which was ok, nothing special. When it came time to take off my old gel polish for my manicure, the lady began to take out USED pieces of tin foil out or her apron to use on my nails to take off the gel! When I said something to her that I wanted fresh tin foil, her response was "it's only tin foil." And then began talking to the other employees in Chinese which I presume was about me! I stopped her right there and told her that I would not be getting my manicure there because I did not find it sanitary. I offered to pay for my pedicure since it was already done, the lady proceeded to tell me that I needed to pay $10 extra for gel removal! She only put nail polish remover on one freaking nail and wanted to charge me $10!! This place is super unsanitary and I would not recommend this place to anyone!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. First off, the guy was EXTREMELY slow doing my nails. Usually they're much quicker at other places I go. Also The pricing was way too high and for a gel French manicure, it didn't even last one day. Ive never had such a horrible acrylic gel manicure job done. All ten nails chipped within first week and again, this is GEL that I paid $50 for!!!! I went back next day to complain and ask for my money back and the guy said he would "fix it" which I knew wasn't going to do any good as it would chip again the next day. Sure enough, I was right. I am very hard to please when it comes to pedicures and this place can't be beat. Very clean and friendly, up-to-date magazines, and a pedicure that lasts a long time. And most importantly for me, the massages are great. They even have someone whose job is to massage the people who are at the drying station. I love this place. read more

This used to be one of my go to nail salons before I moved out of town about 4 years ago. While back in Stratford, yesterday, I decided to get a pedicure and unfortunately, I have never been so disappointed with a pedicure and it is so hard to believe that this used to be one of my go to salons. After leaving the salon, once outside, I was able to really take a good look at my nails and there were many "rookie" errors....I was able to see my old nail polish on two of my nails (very disappointing), not all of my nails were cut or shaped evenly, the polish on my small toes was absolutely horribly brushed on and looked as if a child had done it. Also, I know going to get a pedicure with pants on isn't ideal but it can work. Needless to say, I had pants on and pulled them up to my knees. After leaving, I noticed grease like marks on the bottom of pants from the lotion. I have had many pedicures done while wearing pants and have never left with noticeable grease marks from what is obviously very cheap lotion. Oh, and once I got in the car I also found the biggest chunk of paraffin wax on my heal that I had to remove. Overall, very unhappy and will never go back and definitely do not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

This salon is clean with generally friendly service. I have never had to wait with an appointment and without an appt. I only had to wait about 10 minutes. I first tried this place out about a year ago and was thoroughly impressed. My manicure lasted and they gave two massages, one during the Mani and one while drying. However, the last few times I have been there the place seems busier than before and the service has definitely gone downhill. There are some manicurists that seem to have little care or concern for the clients and it is frustrating when simple things, like the shape of your nails cannot be communicated. Do not go on a Sunday, this seems to be the day when the youngest employees get to have a free-for-all. Generally, this place is clean and reasonably priced.
