I've been going to a salon closer to where I live for a few years now. However, the girl I go to left and I've been on the search for a great place. In a random turn of events I ended up being the one to take Nana for her appointment at Fancy Nail Salon. I decided to give it a try. Thank God I did!!!! I've gone there two times now and have been impressed with both technicians. They are so clean and neat. They are as meticulous as I am when doing my own nails. They have the most powder gel colors I've seen at a salon. Anddddd....they do ombré. FLAWLESS ombré that is!! I searched high and low for someone to do my nails for my wedding and couldn't find anywhere. If I only looked closer to home. My Disney nails were a huge hit! I've been a customer of Fancy Nails for several years and have enjoyed the pedicures. I always have one of the premium pedicures; including the tip, this is well over $100.00. My recent experience was extraordinarily bad. I had a tech who was clearly new and did not speak a word of English. Twice she asked another tech how to do something. It doesn't bother me to have a service performed by a new employee but if I'm a return customer and I'm paying for a premium service, I like to be advised at the very least. For a regular pedicure I think the tech would have been just fine, but this premium pedi was not good. I was going to chalk it up to a lesson learned, pay for the service and be on my way. I tipped the tech my standard tip (which is generous). Upon paying I was charged $5.00 more and I asked why. It was for buffing the nails. I politely and calmly stated the buffing the tech did was not worth the extra $5.00. Immediately the owner (I've always assumed he is the owner) got upset, spoke in a very loud voice which drew the attention of everyone in the salon (it was packed). Then the person who rang up the purchase (not the tech who worked on me) decided to jump into the fray and also started speaking to me angrily. Then there was shouting back and forth between these 2 people and the tech. Suddenly more techs jumped into the conversation and began shouting out prices and speaking in there native tongue. I was unnerved to no end as all I wanted to do was pay the bill and be on my way. I understand and respect cultural differences but yelling and shouting at a customer is NOT okay even if it's acceptable in another culture. I give this review 3 stars in the hope others are aware if you disagree with the owner, even quietly, he will turn into a major ordeal. read more

They took me as a walk in at 5pm without an issue, even with appointments coming in soon after. Very accommodating. Sam did a tremendous job on my dip nails, even managing to avoid using another round of extensions. Beautiful work! I will definitely be back. read more

Very cute! They have clean tubs for pedicures which is nice to see. They have the liners and then throw out all of the tools immediately after they use them. Not all nail salons do this. They are not overly friendly but thats ok. A little on the expensive side. read more

I work in this area from time to time and they were able to fit me in at the last minute for a regular mani pedi. I wasn't looking for a super relaxing experience, just someone to clean up my nails. Fancy Nail Salon is easy to get to, plenty of parking. It isn't fancy by any means, but it's a normal building. I came for a manicure and callus removing pedicure. The regular manicure was $13 and the pedicure was $35. They don't charge tax which makes me wonder if they even pay taxes. Anyways, i was super uncomfortable because the woman doing my pedicure named Dou Dou and the woman next to her named Joy wouldn't stop talking in Chinese. It felt like they were talking about me because they would look at me and laugh or say something and look at me or my feet. It had been since the fall that I had a pedicure which is obviously why I asked and paid extra for a callus remover. When i finally looked up when I caught them doing it the OTHER woman asked if I wanted water. The service in general was pretty bad- i did leave a $10 tip on my $45 dollar total only because I knew i was overdue for a pedicure. They didn't help me with my coat (when my nails were wet) she didnt speak to me at all, or ask if i was satisfied. I never saw the staff clean any of the utensils or foot tubs in between clients. I was there for about two hours. The mani/pedi looked good but i'm not sure i would go back read more

After not getting my nails done for over three months due to COVID-19 I was very excited when the nail salons started to open. I am not that picky when it comes to my nails but I have to say I am very disappointed on the nails I received. I first would like to say that my nail tech was very nice and super sweet. With that being said I'm not sure she really knew what she was doing. I went in for a manicure and pedicure. When we did my pedicure she cut my toes all different lengths. All she did was cut my toe nails without filing them or making sure they were the same shape. I got white as I always do at any nail salon I to go to and it is unbelievably sheer and needs a few more coats. As well as being sheer it was super streaky. When it came to my manicure she cut my nails way too short and they are not even the same shape. To top this whole experience off I spent $76 which seems ridiculous for a manicure and pedicure. I didn't wanna make a scene so I paid the money and after all that she looked at me and asked for a tip. I'm sad to say I could've done it better at my house. read more

I just stopped by here for the first time today during lunch. I went because it's close to my work and I saw a review on Google saying they were good. The people weren't the friendliest but that's nothing new and I don't go to salons for conversation. The place was clean and modest. No high tech gadgets or big screen tvs. But it was a quiet and pleasant environment. I was very pleased with the french manicure I received. I don't know the name of who worked on me (no one had name tags) but she had long bangs. She was very precise and continually inspected her workout for accuracy and uniformity. She took her time and gave me the impression she cared about her work. I was completely satisfied with the results. I don't get manicures regularly but if I'm in need and have time on my lunch hour I would definitely return here. read more

DO NOT GET EYE BROWS WAXED HERE. They completely ruined the shape of my eyebrows and didn't even bother to tweeze them after. Also a time I was there previously they got a call from a customer and were obviously struggling to speak to them because they didn't speak English. So they handed me the phone! Fancy Nails.... not so fancy. Nothing here is done very well. One technician thinks she is a foot surgeon, and usually I come out of the pedicure chair bleeding. I'm not certain if the girls are blind or maybe they have shaky hands but polish is always all over my toes. The last fill I got here resulted in a major mishap. My guy operating the spinning death tool they use to file the nail became distracted by who knows what and went through many layers of my finger. He drilled through my fake nail, my real nail and my nail bed. When I called out in extreme pain he told me to "calm down" and that "it doesn't hurt." Listen here sir, you nearly amputated my finger! Do not tell me to calm down! They were not interested when I tried to complain. They charged me full price and never even apologized. read more

I've been going there for years. They do a wonderful job on any service you request. One of the manicurists recently purchased the salon. It seems like more gel polish colors than before. They have some new types of polishes. The salon is clean. The foot baths are lined with a new plastic cover for each pedi. The instruments are in sealed bag for each client. I have been looking for a new nail home since my former salon changed owners so I gave fancy nails a try several times. The staff was pleasant but not overly friendly or talkative. There were at least 10 people working and I was the only customer so I felt like everyone was staring at me the entire time. The first gel mani I had I was very pleased with. Lasted two weeks, so I went back. The second time I was there the gel mani was done very poorly, they filed my nails so short that they were painful, and it chipped after a few days. Great nail salon. The people are very nice. The prices are average for nail salons in the area (about $60 for gel manicure and regular pedicure). They give awesome complimentary back rubs. My gel manicure lasted three weeks and looked great. I've found that a lot of nail salons can get very loud and aren't relaxing, but this one isn't too loud and certainly tries to make you feel comfortable. Definitely recommend this place. read more
