Communication on there communication skills to clients. I went for a gel manicure wasn't please only went because my sister lives near by. Last year they pinch me so many times n toe was bleeding. Now went today for gel nails made mistake while doing toes she realized I requested gel polish. Then when doing manicure she didn't cut my nails I had to tell her twice I wear my nails low. Then I had to ask to soak my nails first which all nail professional do. Then skimping on the gel polish and top coat . I wear chrome polish not see through. I requested for top coat to be placed because I work with water etc. Tgen I requested for my eyebrows to be waxed she said oh no time for eyebrows your sister said you wanted mani pedicure even tho it was not mentioned common curiosity she should of said can you wait a while then I can do nail salon always will do your brows even tho you didn't make an appointment thumbs down. I stumbled upon the place while looking to do a manicure pedicure. I was skeptical looking at the less number of reviews here although all the reviews rated the place quite good. Later I figured that the place got opened less than a year ago. They are maintaining Covid precautions very seriously. All the customers are asked to wash their hands before touching the nail polish. People are extremely friendly. The place is super clean. They did a great job and I highly recommend the place. read more

Not usually one to write reviews, but I think this will be helpful. I went to Tida's nails for about 4 months, on a biweekly basis. During my first few appointments, all went well and nails were great! Things quickly change afterwards. They are not respectful of appointments, and usually made you wait anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour and a half. They have people doing pedicures that are not certified, and have no idea what they are doing. They also switch nail techs since they take every walk-in and push appointments aside. Last time I went, they left my nail wrappers (aluminum foil and acetone) for over 90 minutes, and when I asked for them to be removed, polish was still on, and cotton had to be cut off with scissors. They are not receptive to costumer need, even when one asks for the bare minimum. Rude, stressful environment, and extremely unprofessional. I rather not do my nails than go back to this establishment. read more

Today was my first visit to Tida. I called late this morning with the hopes of going to have a horrible set of nails removed (the set was from another salon). I chose Tida because I read a random FB post on the North Haven Town Page and people kept mentioning Tida. They got me in this afternoon and were beyond what my expectations were. The salon is immaculate, the owner and his mom made me feel like I was an old friend the way we held conversation the entire time I was there. Not only did the get rid of the horrible set of nails I had but they explained to me just how bad acrylic nails are for you. Needless to say, my nails look AMAZING and 100% natural. They're not that thick, bulky or unnatural at all. I had my eyebrows done and again, amazing at that too. I left with a stack of their business cards to share with friends and for an appointment in 2 weeks. I will never go anywhere else after today. You will not be sorry going here. read more

So I called the day before to make an appointment since there was 4 of us getting a mani and pedi. We get there the next day and the women says you only made it for 2 people. I kept telling her I made it for 4 people. And she told me I must have been mistaken. Ummm no Bc I told the women multiple times it was 4 of us. So my son and I waited 40 min to get in the chair while my daughter and her friend started with their pedi. Once we got in the chair i was hoping to relax but the lady doing mine was trying to get my hangnail and I told her twice to stop. She continued and got me pretty anxious to be done. I didn't get my mani Bc of that and I didn't want the 3 kids waiting an hour for me. Oh and the ladies that did the girls nails didn't clean up the polish on their nails so I had to ask. Got a pedicure on Monday and these are my nails on Friday. They started chipping after the second day. They didn't have my appointment on the books, so my pedicure was rushed. No lotion, anything. Had to request to have my nails cut/files. As someone who works in customer service, i would be fine with coming back at a better time to make sure i got my moneys worth. I went in last week for a gel nail fill with gel polish, and eyebrow waxing. This was my first time here. I wanted to find a new place since I had a bad experience at another place in the area. Overall, I had a great experience here and will definitely be going back. It is a very clean place. Relaxing environment. They really take their time with you to make sure you are happy. I walked out of here in tears after the older women waxed my eyebrows. She basically took the whole eyebrow off and they're incredibly uneven. Same women who cuts me every time I get a pedicure here. I am not usually one to write reviews,if I don't have all positive things to say as I am a small business owner myself. My first time at Tida was very positive. It was very clean and I appreciated the family business atmosphere. My nails came out beautiful and I had been going every two to three weeks for over six months. However, the other day I rushed to my 5:00 appt, one that I made three weeks prior ,during my appt as to be sure I would have my nails done before Christmas. I walked in two min before to see that my technician still hadn't painted the current clients nails. I was welcomed as I walked in and 15 min later I heard the client say she wanted a darker color my technician got up to grab another color looked over at me and said " I'll be right with you after I put top coat on. I said ok and waited. During this time another technician who disappeared after I sat answered a call and I heard her say what time and ok we'll see you soon. Ten min later a woman walked in and said hi I just called for a gel fill. She sat her immediately and started her nails, to say I was starting to get annoyed and ignored would be an understatement. Now at 5:30 a half hour after my scheduled appointment I hear his client say she wanted more sequins on her nails. I patiently waited for him to say that he was already running very late for his next client ,but to my chagrin he was going to add more to her nails. I had to pick up my son at 6:45 and if he didn't start me right then, I never would have made it. I got up and as nicely as I could hold it together, I told him I couldn't wait because it was taking to long. His response was " sorry we're running a little behind". Really? i don't know why it's my issue. I was on time, if she wasn't then it's her problem that she couldn't get more sequins added bit to mention how rude that she knew I was there for an appt and just kept adding more work for him. maybe she thought he was there to do her nails for three hours. I hope she tipped him extra for mine and paid him for my service that he lost. I'm sorry but when your in a service business and your client gives you the courtesy to be on time we deserve the same courtesy back. I was going to give them a chance, and since they had my number I thought I'd atleast get a call of apology and to make another appt. I bet you guessed that never happened. Its really a shame because I would have stayed there forever and had atleast five of my clients who wanted to start going there after the new year. I honestly wish them the best as they really are nice people, but they don't know how to run a service oriented business and for other busy people out there who have families etc, they need to know and be able to make an informed decision before booking. Needless to say even after securing an appt three weeks in advance, at a salon that I have frequented twice a month for over six months, I will not be able to get my nails done before Christmas read more
