A ten minute shoulder massage is included, and was most caring and relaxing shoulder massage I have experienced at a salon (be sure to tip separately $5-10). Went to Shiny Nail Spa on Saturday for a pedicure. A pumpkin spice spa pedicure to be exact. The equipment is nice and new - the chairs have massage and even a cup holder. Before I sat in the chair they used sanitizer spray and then wiped it away so I did not get wet when I sat down. Jennifer did a very nice job painting my toes. While your waiting under the dryer they give for the most part a free 10 min neck and back massage. Be sure to tell the person giving the massage to go a little lighter if needed. I could feel the knots coming out of my neck. But my back is a little sore to the touch. They do request tips be in cash so make sure you have cash with you and they can make change. read more

How wonderful to find an amazing place like this. They took me in last minute with a broken gel nail from another salon (only 6 days old) and 3 other nails cracking. As I planned my vacation to the coast I knew I needed to get my nails done; I remained apprehensive because of COVID but it looked really clean from the photo on Yelp. It was about a 30 minute drive from Westchester, and it was 100% worth it! The staff was really accommodating of me popping in about an hour before they closed. They were very sanitary and the woman was very kind. I enjoyed my time and the free massage. I'll definitely be back! It well worth the drive for a salon that looks like there was effort into the design; giving it really nice ambiance. Who really wants to spend money at a place that never invested in themselves? As so many nail salons are guilty of. All they need is complimentary wine and this place would be unstoppable. read more

I've been coming here for about 6 months now. I really love the pedicures but I have never had so many broken/cracked nails in my life snd I'm not sure why. I've tried several techs and I genuinely really like all of the staff I have worked with. I've not had a bad experience from a customer service perspective, but I don't have time to come back between appointments for repairs. My nails are not cheap. They take a large portion of my time to complete and I just can't do it anymore. I'm going to find another salon. For example, this is a brand new set, just 4 days old and I have 3 broken tips. I don't workout or do anything remotely extreme. I am cautious and careful and don't even know when this happened. I paid $75 for this set (removal and dipping powder). read more

The first time I went on 5/1, I called ahead to make an appt, when I arrived, they had me pick my colors and started my pedicure which was great followed my dip powder manicure. Helene did my nails and they were perfect. 2 weeks later on 5/16, I called to make another appt, showed up on time and proceeded to have to wait 20 min to get into the pedicure chair. I am fairly patient and know that Covid has created many limitations so I was ok with the wait. After getting my pedicure chair, it was another 10 min wait - again not a big deal, I had nowhere to be. Kevin did my pedicure and he was fantastic. Then it was time for the manicure and another staff member who's name I didn't get did the powder manicure. She rushed, informed me I only get 2 dips, didn't even touch my cuticles and then within 5 days my nails started chipping. After spending $85 plus tipping well over 20% - I'd expect more and I will say Helene during my first visit was wonderful and so was Kevin during my pedicure on the 2nd visit. Nail salons are so abundant that once I'm not pleased, it easy to just go to another which I did where the service was great. I will say that Shiny is very clean, well organized with a great color selection and if you get Helene or Kevin then you should not be disappointed. read more

Everything at Shiny Nail is so beautiful and new, it's clear that they care about keeping things clean and in order! I even noticed the UV lights for gel manicures were made into the stations (very cool). They have a hand sanitizer station right outside the door, plexiglas dividers at each station, and all employees and customers were wearing masks. I got an SNS manicure by Sam, who did a really great job and was meticulous. He even made sure to clean up the bits around my nails (I have never had a nail tech do that before)! The SNS manicure was $40 plus tax ~$42 total. Incredible experience for my first mani after months of not being able to get one. read more

Some notes i took as i was here! As soon as we walked in everyone was very welcoming and accommodating. It is a very clean environment, very pleasing and relaxing. The chandeliers upgrade the experience to an almost luxury feel. The pedicure chairs are very comfortable and the massage feature is one of the best i've experienced, and I go to a lot of different places as i am very picky when it comes to my nails. The people are not friendly. The nail polish was watered down. I still have rough heels. The nail clipper was just sitting around and I wonder if it was sanitized. The person went through the motions but never smiled or made eye contact. He was totally bored with the pedicure. No one said hello or goodbye in fact. He saw I didn't know how to work the massage chair and I just waited to see if he would offer to help. He did not. I do like this place it is very clean. However I only come for pedicures as not everyone here can do the shape I like consistently for my acrylics. The biggest thing that bothers me is that every time I come they tell me 20 mins and ends up being an hour later. This is my new go to spot! It's the first place in Newtown that I found is fairly priced, clean, and produces quality work! The massage chairs are also very comfortable. I went for their grand opening today and spent over $30 (I upgraded the normal $28 pedicure cost to do so) and I was given a free pedicure for next time!
