Great space, clean and bright. Friendly staff. I ordered oatmilk vanilla latte, it was wonderful. The downfall is the scone. The pastries are not made in-house. They asked if I wanted it heated, I said no. At that point they should have let me know it is NOT room temp. It was actually cold. It had been refrigerated and was dry. By then the line was too long to ask to have it heated. I may try it again because it's in my neighborhood. But if I'm expanding my area a bit and driving, I'll go to Li'l Coffea or Trompeau. read more

Finally made it out to this second location! It was super busy at 10:00 but everyone cleared out by 11:00. I came here with a friend on a Sunday. She managed to snag the last table, there were quite a few families around and the shop was busy! It seems more spacious and open than their original but I still have a special spot for their first location. It feels calmer and more peaceful there. I had the Sakura matcha. It was great! My favorite spot to swing by before work for a great matcha or latte. They have a wonderful selection of locally sourced pastries/sandwiches, they host fun events (I got free tickets to The Bride when it premiered!) and the coffee is low acidity which makes all the difference. Excellent spot to get work or homework done. On weekends it gets really busy, so the parking lot can fill up quickly and the shop can get crowded. Just goes to show how great this place is! Congrats to Lavender Coffee for adding a new location!! When Caribou Coffee closed, I was sad. The spot had been vacant for quite some time but just this morning, I received a text message from Lavender Coffee about their newest location. When I checked it to see where it was, I was shocked to find out that it's the very ex-Caribou location. I got excited so I wasted no time to rush to it. This new location (like the Pearl St location) has so much chicness to it. Very modern. And it's almost like an art gallery at a glance. All those framed art decorations are nicely displayed in one spot on the wall; its interior design is that of a museum. Baked goods are plenty; both sweet and savory kinds. I asked the lady upfront which ones were which. I decided to go with the Turkey kind. For a drink I boringly decided to go with my usual: doppio. I need to be a bit more adventurous to try out something I have never tried before. It's okay; I can always go back to it in a few weeks. By then, I am pretty sure that their exterior signage will be a permanent one. As of this writing, I have not tried my coffee or the pastry so there is more to come in this review. Yet I have no doubt that both of them will be as delicious and wonderful as the ones I had purchased at their Pearl St location. Well, this new location might become my go-to coffee shop moving forward. People/readers, you got to check it out soon!! P.S. Now that I am home, I am adding this little piece of information after I consumed the turkey pastry and doppio. As I had anticipated earlier, the quality of the pastry and coffee was top notch. The turkey chunk inside the croissant was dense/thick. The doppio was something I was able to enjoy with the half and half from my fridge. Tasted very clean indeed. I didn't know this until today; Lavender Coffee is a Denver-roasted coffee company that their coffee is low acid. And they are also equipped with certified mold free certification. Not only that, their approach is wellness-minded. What's not to love a place like Lavender Coffee, right?? read more

I stopped in on a weekday in the late morning timeframe and had great, quick service! They said something was glitching with their POS system but they handled it well and I didn't notice any slowdown in the ordering process. Staff seemed noticeably friendly. They had fun seasonal drink options, but I stuck with a nitro cold brew, which was good. The location seems really convenient if you take Hampden much, and the shop has a good amount of seating for a coffee date or studying/working. read more

This location just opened! There is plenty of parking in the lot and seating inside. Seating for conversation and seating to work on laptops with outlets. I've brought new friends here before so I was disappointed by the Weird experience when Your white staff were awfully rude to my associate when we came in the other day to pay for an over priced mostly foam hot chocolate. I've never seen them behave like that toward anyone until I brought a black friend in. She told them it was her first time there and while she was excited to try something new they were dismissive and treated her as if ordering was an inconvenience. Really weird behavior. Might wanna teach your staff to check when they're being discriminatory. Black people deserve to be treated with respect too. read more

Made a special trip here based on the menu - and to celebrate a birthday. Ordered the affogato. Not available, out of their ice cream. Ordered the peach basil tea. Not available, out of basil. Ordered the chile relleneaux croissant along with alternate drinks. Got a mushroom filled croissant - and was told "I guess the bakery delivered the wrong item again!" The matcha latte was lumpy with clumps of dry matcha powder. Very underwhelming. I do not recommend. read more

I was so excited when this coffee shop opened in the neighborhood, but unfortunately my experience wasn't great. I brought my mom here for a coffee and pastry a few weeks after they opened. The inside is very warm and inviting with plenty of seating. There was a very small selection of pastries so we both ordered a latte. My mom's latte was barely warm so she asked the barista if she could make it hotter. The barista told my mom there is no way to make it warmer, and then just walked away. Her attitude was so rude and dismissive that we ended up leaving. I could understand if they were very busy, but there was only one other customer there besides us. Unfortunately we won't be back. read more
