Found this women-owned coffee shop on TikTok, like many other reviews on here. Stopped by, to try the flights, which was good. However the price point, was a little higher than I'd like to pay for four very small coffees. The coffee shop is in an office building, which is convenient for the people working there, but definitely not a super feasible location to meet up with friends at. All that being said- the owners are INCREDIBLY sweet and kind. We were on the fence about what smoothie to order and she went out of her way to make both, for the price of one! As someone who values supporting women-owned businesses, I truly wanted to have a great experience here. While the ambiance is lovely and provides a productive work environment, the service and product did not meet expectations. I waited 35 minutes for a 16oz iced soy latte, despite the shop not being particularly busy. It appeared that orders were not being fulfilled in the order received, as several customers who arrived well after me received their items first. I love flights and GFD Coffee offers both coffee flights AND matcha flights! They offer fun flavors though their website advertises 3 flights menus, one being seasonal, and this was not the case during my recent visit - no seasonal option. The flights are $22 for coffee and $25 for matcha, for the 6oz versions - pricey! The individual drinks and pastries are also on the higher end of coffee shop pricing, which may deter me from too many future visits. One big PRO is the spacious seating and games available! You can easily bring young kiddos here and they will be entertained while you enjoy your caffeinated beverage. Additionally, they have clean bathrooms, free wifi, and free parking. Please note - this place can be a little hard to find if you have not been here before or if you use the yelp "get directions" button. I tried that and it took me to the parking garage for this office building, Two Denver Highlands. Also, signage for the coffee shop are Hard to find as well. But the coffee shop is well worth visiting! I wasn't there for coffee, but their menu is diverse and impressive. The staff was friendly and helpful, even as they apologetically explained that their deliveries were late and they only had plain bagels to offer. The space is bright and clean with outdoor and indoor seating . The outdoor seating has umbrellas and a roof to make it more usable in the afternoon. Theres so many coffee shops in Denver popping up everywhere that it can be hard to stand out from the others, but that's not the case for Grounds for Dismissal. They have these coffee and matcha flights that's the talk of the town! They went viral on social media not only because they offer these flights, but because their unique coffees and matches in their flights. Their syrups are all made in house, and their coffee beans are also local beans from Pueblo. I was disappointed to learn they don't sell flights to go, and they didn't sell their flight flavors as individual drinks which seems like that has changed since I last went. We were also told they don't sell their flights the last hour before closing which we arrived 30 minutes before closing so not being able to get a flight was disappointing. However, the drink I did select was delicious. I'm happy to see you can get the flight drinks as an individual order now, so I'm excited to go back and try more of their flavors. Their rotating seasonal menu also had fantastic options. I didn't order anything to eat since I needed to grab something quick and to go the last time I was in, but many tables had food on their tables so I'm excited to try it next time I'm there as well. read more

I really wanted to like this place but sadly it missed the mark in a few categories. It's located on the bottom floor of an office building so I'm sure it gets busy on the weekdays. But it seems pricey for a daily coffee shop. We went on a Saturday morning for some breakfast it wasn't too too busy but it definitely picked up while we were there. We ordered the coffee flight, a vanilla latte, the breakfast tacos with bacon and a breakfast sandwich on a bagel. These 4 things were $50! The food had absolutely no seasoning to it. My husband said his bagel was barely toasted and felt like he could have made a better sandwich at home. The tacos were bland. Like you could tell just looking at them there was no seasoning to be had here. the hash browns were not crispy, the decision to use a corn tortilla was weird in my opinion. A flour tortilla definitely would have been better. The coffee flight fell short of expectations. 1) I would have liked to pick my own flight. Out of the 4 I would have maybe picked 1 of these myself. There was: Nutella Almond bliss with chocolate cold foam White chocolate with lavender Honey vanilla chai with cinnamon cold foam. There was too much ice in the glasses to get a good sip of the coffee, the whipped cream made it even harder to drink. I got a spoon to stir them up and take ice out. I had the lox breakfast sandwhich which was a salmon bagel on Asiago it was okay, bigger then what I thought it would be had avocados nice size salmon, capers, cream cheese. My BF had the breakfast sandwhich that had scramble eggs, bacon and cheese on sourdough and it was toasted he said the cheese could have been melted more but over all it was alright. He just got plain black coffee which was free refill and I got white chocolate lavender latte, was good a little to much lavender but I was okay with it. One of my very favs coffee shop in the area! Their flavors are always on point and they even offer a very delicious and IG worthy coffee flight (or matcha currently!!). It is located in an office building, you can park basically anywhere in the lot but there are some 30 mins parking in front of the building for the coffee shop. My current go to is their earl white matcha! It is so addicting! But if you are not a sweets type of person, make sure to ask for less sweet. Fun fact: their syrups are made in house! This is only for the customer service received. Came in 17 mins before they closed and the first thing the barista says is, "okay I suppose you're the last order I'm taking for the day." I order some matcha and then proceed to ask what Frappuccino would she recommends and she said, "none because I already cleaned everything ." At that point I just walked away. This coffee shop is in an office building and easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. It has a few dedicated parking spots for 30 minutes but enough around. Coffee is fairly expensive to be quite honest (~$7 for a latte). The service is really slow because there is only ever 1 person working. I have sympathy for just one individual working but don't come here if you need a quick cup. It's usually empty and plenty of spots to work in with a dedicated conference room you can reserve. Overall not my favorite coffee shop, there are other better options. read more

Very cutesy , very demure. Your greeted with the option to park in a designated GFD parking space for up to 30 minutes. Your greeted on the walk in with a wonderful outdoor space where you can either do work or homework with tables and chairs and a nice fake green lawn for the kiddos. After entering I was greeted by the best barista Bianca. She got us set up with two ice lattes with flavoring. I did vanilla my friend white chocolate. We also got a season food option; The chocolate chip pumpkin bread which was delicious . I highly recommend it when you get a coffee. Around the indoor space is multiple options for seating a few couches and soft chairs and tables with cushioned chairs. They even have a private space you can reserve for conferences or just study time and it said it was free to reserve! There is one section that has a green wall decorated for fall perfect for selfies or photo ops. To note around the shop there is small like gift shop type items available for purchase. Checked out this place for the first time about a month ago. GPS literally failed me and led me to the opposite side of the street so it was a bit tricky to find but I did not give up. When in pursuit of coffee and food, just stay the course! Location is basically inside an office building. Seems a bit odd but inside there's ample seating, games to play, etc. so it's quite fun and cozy. There's plenty of free parking due to the location. As far as food and drinks go: French toast was very good. Breakfast sandwich needed more cheese. Coffee sampler was just ok. I thought a lot of the flavors were lost. For example, I couldn't really taste the Nutella in one or the lavender in another. By the end, all the drinks tasted the same to me. Thankfully I like coffee, but it was definitely the strongest flavor coming through for each one. It's still a fun concept but I think could be better executed either by combining fewer items together in one drink or maybe adding more of certain ingredients so that they are distinguishable. I originally saw their fall coffee flights on Instagram so I drove half an hour to check them out. What I didn't know is that the recommendation is one flight for two people as for one it's too much. I was glad the barista warned me about it. Service: Friendly and welcoming! They made it a point to let me know that a flight would be way too much coffee. Ambiance: It is located in a business park which gives it a bit of a university coffee shop (not necessarily a bad thing). I did struggle to find it at first. Food (aka coffee): I ordered the caramel apple latte with oat milk. It tasted more like caramel and not really apple which is okay but I think my coffee was over roasted? I'm a huge lavender fan, so this drink really hit the spot for me. The coffee tasted wonderful and smooth. The lavender bits on top made it beautiful. I loved it! Conflicted review. They have really unique and appealing drinks as seen on social media and they taste fairly good but I've gone here a few times and had the same weird experience. As far as I know the owners are a husband and wife and the husband is at the cash register from time to time and every time I've gone I go with my family and he flirts with my daughter even though I believe his wife is literally scrambling around just feet away. I know some people are like this but if they are with their family I find this quite uncomfortable. Also whether it is busy or not there is nearly nowhere to sit, would say this is fine for drinks on the go but they specialize in tasting flights which can't be taken home easily. read more

My friend and I went here for a bob ross paint and sip coffee night! Included in the ticket were all the supplies you needed for painting and a coffee flight. It was a fun evening with bob Ross!! They are a newer business and continue to expand on their menu and events they offer. They also sell fun products from local artists like backpacks, purses, aprons etc. the staff was very friendly and were able to make the drinks customized to people's dietary needs.
