Harper greeted me and could not have been more friendly and helpful. She took every bit of stress away and assured me everything would be taken care of quickly. When I arrived to pick up ALL the items, Julie greeted me. She brought out everything packed up beautifully, and all the other things were hung on hangers. I was blown away! I've been to The Laundry Lounge several times and I like how clean it is in comparison to other laundry mats. The employees on site are always friendly. I tend to go when I have too much laundry to do at home. I'd rather take two to three hours to do my laundry vs a whole day. There are plenty of washers, but you might have to wait for a dryer depending on when you go. I've never had an issue with waiting for a dryer, but there are far fewer dryers than washers. Drying is free though so even if I had to wait I wouldn't mind. Free Wi-Fi is offered so you can easily kill time waiting for your clothes to go through the wash and dry cycle. Another perk is they offer free transfer service if you can't hang around between wash and dry. read more

I've done my laundry at the Laundry Lounge for a while now but may be taking a break seeing that they don't actually enforce the mask requirement. I've seen maskless customers linger about for a while, employees see them and say nothing. One customer got in an argument with another over the latter's refusal to wear a mask and the staff said nothing. It may be done out a desire not to provoke customers who refuse to wear one (possibly protecting employees) but I'd rather not do my laundry here if there are going to be people around without a mask. read more

Thumbs up! I used their delivery service and the whole experience was awesome. The person on the phone explained the whole process to me and answered all my questions as if she didn't have anything else to do all day. She seemed to take pride in what they do. Here's why I like them: They picked up my laundry and delivered it at the times they said they would. The scented soap they use (you can ask for unscented) is actually very mild and did not irritate my skin the way a lot of soaps do. They don't fold the laundry for you, they lay it out flat and put it in the bag that way, which actually produces fewer wrinkles and saved me the trouble of unfolding so I could hang stuff up. I will also say that I used several different laundry delivery services when I lived in SF and every single time I would find a piece of someone else's laundry mixed in with mine and several of my socks would be missing. I used them because my new landlord took forever to give me a laundry key and I was desperate and too busy to swing by there. So I gave them two huge bags of dirty laundry and it cost me $50. If I used them regularly I figure it would cost about $30 a week. But it'd be a lot cheaper if I did the drop-off thing and I'm seriously considering doing that instead of taking half my Saturday to go back and forth between my apartment and the laundry room. read more

Driving from Santa Cruz to woodland, my 5 yr old got sick. It wasn't long before she started throwing up, fortunately most of it got into a garbage bag we had on hand. But then...my teenage son handed off the bag to my wife in the front seat and the horror began. Somehow the bag came loose and vomit was thrust around EVERYWHERE! The closest ones (in town) looked great for scoring weed (one yelp review even posted the times the dealer was usually there), so I decided to expand my search and came across this little ditty in Davis. It's clean, pleasant, and has a relaxing comfortable atmosphere. It's a college town, so I'm sure they've seen their share of vomit on clothing. I've never paid anyone to do my laundry before. This was a first time for me, but because I'm studying for the Bar, I have no time. . . ok, fine, I won't lie, I was lazy and tired of the broken ass machines at my apartment complex with their expensive small capacity washers and not so efficient dryers. Anyway, given my laziness and annoyance with the facilities at my complex, I decided to try this wash and fold service. $1.35/lb sounded good to me, plus they'd pick up and deliver for free! On Sunday, I decided to drop off since I had to leave home anyway, and was greeted by a very nice lady who didn't laugh at me when I insisted on 3 dryer sheets per load (uh ya, I also brought in my own dryer sheets, bounce febreeze spring and renewal scented). On Monday, she called and said they'd drop off on Tuesday, but I told her I had class in the morning, so she nicely arranged for delivery after 1. Promptly, at 1:10 p.m. on Tuesday, there was a knock with the delivery guy and my laundry. Delivery was in a huge laundry bag with their and info on the side, and inside was all my clothes smelling awesome and folded all pretty. Why 5 stars? Because this place is amazing We are visiting from San Diego and use only cloth diapers we've never used disposables so traveling takes a little research. This place costs more to do laundry than my apartment complex but the washers and dryer come in big, bigger, and jumbo. It makes it super convenient if your load of laundry is huge. Plus is has free wi-fi and comfortable seating just in case you want to stay and wait for your laundry to finish. But you don't need to because the workers can transfer your clothes from the washer to dryer for free. Of course you still need to pay for the cost to dry your clothes. I popped in here when I had some rugs I wanted to wash after our move and didn't trust our washing machine to do it. I was able to use one of their triple load washers and had plenty of room. Ok, so this place is pretty awesome. Free Wi-Fi, a collection of drinks you can buy, they basically meet all your laundry needs. Now, the frustrating part. Every time I come in here , there always seems to be between 15 to 20 broken machines. Are these ever going to get fixed? I'm here right now, there and there are 7 broken dryers and 1 that doesn't run on high. Out of 28, that's over 25% of their dryers. A triple load machine has been broken which feels like for months. This place is packed every time I come so I know they are making money. So why isn't it being spent on repairs? I will be happy to move this to 5 stars the day I come in and all machines are working. Heck, I'll take 95% at this point. But I'm getting sick and tired of having to cram things into washers and dryers because there are hardly any available. I come to this place few times a year to wash my comforter! This place is great. I mean what other laundry mat has wifi with couches and study tables? I definitely did not grow up with all this! Anywho, staff is super helpful! If the washer machine you want is taken up they let you use a bigger one and prorate it to what you would be paying initially! This place does sell single use detergent, fabric softener, and bleach. It's a little over priced so don't forget your stuff! I never give five stars, but this is close. My experience with this business after it was sold is a bit different but overall "drop a load" is a great service. When I'm I'll or busy I just fill my bag and call for pickup and they drop it off the next business day. They also do folding for additional charge, but I mostly hang my clothes so I don't use this service. Lately I use it for large items my non industrial washer struggles with. Not the lame full 1hr, I usually spend 75cents on a load so it makes up for the higher price on wash. 4. I can walk around the plaza, sit and read or do anything and time seems to pass by quickly. 5. I brought in a large comforter to have it washed and was told the soonest it would be done was the next day at the same time. Upon arriving to pick it up I noticed black dirt marks across one side of it and upon doing a "sniff test" it did not smell washed at all. The cashier offered to give me a $5 discount. Unconvinced that it had actually been washed I attempted to hand wash the spots at home using Tide and warm water. The spots came right out. Only thing I like the most is they offer transfer to dryer service . Otherwise it's kind like expensive. I even put scented booster in my wash to make sure stuffs come out smell good. My blanket was ok but my towels was bad smell . I guess cuz the drier was not clean. Even now was new dryer. Before with the old dryer I could see lot of dirt and stuffs on bottom but u can't take it out urself. It need pro clean I think it happen again cuz it's while since they got new dryer. read more

They seem to be back sliding, little by little. A few workers who can't be bothered and act like a crime to inform them the dryer with the business load had been sitting for 15+ minutes. Our washer broke and with an active family we had to use a laundromat to fill in until our washer could be repaired. I brought several loads of laundry and was pleased to be able to wash them all at once. I used the double capacity mega washer as well as four front loader machines. The attendant was very helpful in helping me plan my drying. I prepaid for my dryers and she switched them over and gave me an accurate return time to pick up my laundry. The dryer switching service was free and a huge plus. The only reason this is not five stars is that the environment was so so. Clean but a bit gloomy as laundromats may all be that way. read more
