Overpriced for alterations: I used this cleaners recently for alterations to hem a pair of jeans that were too long. The price was $15. I was satisfied with the price and the results. Went back less than a week later to have a dress hemmed. I was told the price would be $40 to hem a simple t-shirt dress. The dress was long but definitely not fancy. I was told the price was due to the fact that the dress was made of stretchy material. It just so happens that the jeans I previously brought in were also stretchy. Went for a shirt to be pressed for a wedding. Recieved shirt back wrinkled and only pressed at arms. There was also a pink lip stick stain on inside of collar. This was a brand new shirt. I also brought in my daughter's brand new flower girl dress. The dress was suppose to be steamed and pressed. The ribbon on dress came back very dirty. Don't waste your time coming here! My puppy accidentally peed on my couch cushion and I called around to find a place that cleaned couch cushions and this was one of the places that did. My husband brought the cushion in and said it would be ready in a couple of days. He picked up the cushion a few days later and when I went to put the cushion back on my couch, I noticed the distinct smell of urine. I wave my hand over the place my puppy peed, and yes, it was crunchy! So I bring the cushion back to the cleaner to ask them to clean it correctly this time. If that couldn't be done, I would like a refund since my cushion is still dirty. The man behind the counter refused to do both, basically telling me there's no guarantee he could clean it. Be careful having your rugs cleaned here. My 6 by 9 turkish wool rug returned with dye-bleeding into the fringe and at various spots in the carpet. unfortunately, the owner either wasn't told about the damage or thought it would go unnoticed, and blamed us for giving him a dirty carpet that had stains already on the fringe. (It was dirty, not stained.) He agreed to attempt to remove the dye-bleed, and the second three-week process removed most of the blue stain from the fringe, but the medallions in the carpet look significantly different (not as distinct nor bright) from as before their treatment. Saving a few dollars by not taking to an imported rug professional has taught me a valuable (and expensive) lesson. read more

I have used this dry cleaners within the last year and have now had two problems with them. I really tried to give them a second chance but that was a major mistake. I took my sweater in on Monday before christmas and they said it could be ready by Friday. When my Husband went to pick it up he did not check the clothes we had dropped of. I've been going to this place a lot of times already from doing dry cleaning and alterations, and I don't find anything wrong with them. I haven't encountered anything bad with their service either, hopefully none. The location is a little bit off since the 711 store is blocking their spot and there's big trees too and most of all it is right after a stop light, so if you are really in a hurry beating the red light or maybe eager to zoom fast, you will surely miss it. First on the list and I'm on it. I hand washed my off white cropped shorts two nights ago, only to check on it the next morning..STAINED! Yep, how does that happen :( I think the wire hanger could have been the culprit. I was so distraught I immediately hopped on Yelp for some help (hey that rhymed) So.. I typed in dry cleaners and poof! Browns Valley Cleaners popped up. I called and a lady answered. She was so nice and patient and even gave me a price estimate over the phone. Very affordable. Around $5, amazing! If I had brought my shorts in earlier that morning, it would have been ready for me before 5PM for pick up. I ended up bringing em in yesterday around that time and the lady I spoke to wasn't there but another clerk was. As soon as I "Checked In" I got an offer for 5% my first service, I immediately used it. It didn't really phase the total but it was like paying tax free. On a side note, keep your eyes peeled when driving here. The bf and I drove right pass without seeing it! It's a little tucked away behind a small fence and big tree. But if you see 711 on E Monte Vista, it's right next to it. The place was clean and seemed relatively new, while the guy that was running the place had an inviting demeanor. Check. There was a stack of "CO2 cleaning process" pamphlets sitting on the counter. The people who run this place are rude. A few months ago I called to see if they clean rugs. They explained they in fact did wash rugs after a rude explanation of how they don't wash rugs with rubber backing. Brought the rugs over and had them cleaned which they charged by the pound which is standard. Today I searched for Wash and Fold service and this cleaners is the first result in the search. So I returned again today with rugs. Rudely the man running the place states that they will charge me by the size of the rug and that this is not a wash and fold. The man finds my name in his address system so he clearly knows they cleaned my rugs before. Then he rudely says he will charge me $20 to clean a small kitchen rug! The man running the place is rude and he could have simply explained they no longer wash rugs for whatever reason he chose to make up that day. Aside from having kitchen rugs cleaned I also frequently have clothes dry cleaned and will NOT use this cleaners as they have horrible customer service. I go in to pick up one item that was already paid for. We had another item that was ready to be picked up but I wanted to hold off picking up until after graduation (ticket price to clean was high). People behind the counter said, "well you have to pick up soon. You only have 30 days." He proceeded to tell me that I dropped it off on May 19. They completed it May 21. Today is June 2. It's only been 12 days. Really? What are you going to do after 30 days? Throw it out? I don't even get a courtesy reminder call? I've gotten reminder calls in the past. I started taking my cleaning when they first opened using Groupon and they seemed to do great work and it was supposed to be good for the environment as well , but after about the fourth time taking my suits and shirts for cleaning and pressing I started to notice that some spots weren't getting cleaned and pressed very well and would have to bring them back and point out what hadn't got done , they always took them back and recleaned and or pressed them with no problem but it continued to happen time after time as if they took my suits and shirts and if they didn't look dirty they just put them in a bag and set them aside for me to pick up and charge me , now if I pointed something out in advance then it got cleaned , but I started to leave spots and not say anything to see if it would get cleaned and it didn't so I just stopped going back.. Now whether it's something that is instructed by the owners to employees to save materials and or supplies or it's just lazy employees not wanting to have to clean so many items of that I'm not sure , I did mention to the owner that it seems like my items are not getting cleaned, maybe looking at my clothes her employees feel it didn't need cleaning and put it on the racking system as if it was cleaned and charging me anyways of course she said that could not happen but I was always pointing things out to her and she knows it because she would always apologize to me but never give me any comps or discounts so I'm done , she seems nice enough and maybe just being taken advantage of by employees . So They got two stars because they always took my items back and recleaned them for free ... I came in to pick up my comforter and presented the 5% off check in offer to the women at the counter. She seemed to have no idea what it even was, nor did she want to allow me to use it. I had to prove to her that I actually checked in and even then she seemed confused and wanted me to purchase the $15 for $20 to get a discount. As a company I feel it is important to teach employees about discounts or offers that are being advertised so that we as customers don't have to spend our own time teaching them. We use their weekly pickup/delivery service. The prices are reasonable and we don't pay delivery or pickup fees. They pick up on Monday morning and drop off Tuesday afternoon.
