I had a fantastic experience with Elegance Preserved. I got my wedding dress and veil preserved, my rehearsal dinner dress cleaned, and my husbands suit cleaned. The pick up was easy, the drop off even easier. Their text system is awesome and communication was clear. I have no negatives, but some might say the time/cost aren't worth it- and I wildly disagree. Time: Our pick up was in January, and we just got it dropped of today, May 9. Sure, that's a long time, but I'm also preserving my gown hopefully to store for years to come so it's not like there's a rush. Also, they do have an option if your in a time crunch to pay for expedited services, but I didn't see a need for that. Cost: I think for all items (wedding dress, lace veil, suit jacket, vest, shirt, pants, rehearsal dinner dress) was about $700. Including transportation, pick up, drop off, and preservation. Sure that's a chunk of change, but honestly the time this service saved me and the quality of work I think it was worth every penny. They made my dress look like it did the day I bought it! I found Elegance Preserved in my search to find someone to properly clean my wedding dress. I didn't trust a regular dry cleaner and Elegance Preserved was great from my initial inquiry all the way to the delivery of my dress after it was finished. They provided an honest estimate after I submitted photos of my dress (food stains, dirty hem from dancing the night away, etc), reassured me when I was nervous putting such a sentimental gown in the mail, and kept me updated on where my gown was in the process. It took about 8 weeks in total to get my gown back and she is GORG!!! If I got to re-do my wedding again, my dress would be ready to go! TL:DR - Didn't ultimately hire them to do any cleaning, but their customer service was above and beyond amazing. While they do need to take possession of your dress to give you a quote, I never once felt over-pressured to pay for their services. One small frustrating point is not being able to get a ballpark figure on how much cleaning/preserving a dress would cost, but I do understand that this is due to the differences in dress materials and what needs to be cleaned. That being said, they do come out to pick your dress up on specific days based on your area. We arranged a pick up via email and everyone who I communicated with via email was super friendly, down to earth, and really helpful. Once they got my sister's dress they gave me a quote and broke it down into what cleaning it would cost vs. preserving it. The total cost was more than the dress was worth (about $600) so we declined the service. And just to note, my sister had an outdoor wedding over 4 years ago before taking it to get cleaned, so some of that price maybe due to that. But after declining the service, they did offer to work with us a little on the price, but my sister still felt it wasn't worth it. So we declined. They then arranged for the dress to be dropped back off to us, but ended up forgetting the first time around. They acknowledge their mistake and were very apologetic which was cool, and we weren't in a super rush to get the dress back by a certain time. But it definitely made it the next week and was even hung nicely in a new garment bag after we originally gave it to them crumped up in a white trash bag. All in all, this place is amazing. During COVID-19, what better way to conduct service; nearly contactless. The picked up my gown for free to evaluate & gave a quote. If you don't agree with their quote, you receive your gown back. Yes there are cheaper options but when it comes to important things like this I wouldn't leave it to chance. I had such an incredible experience with this company! I purchased my Allure Bridal 9956 dress from Elegant Lace in San Jose in February 2024. In October that year, we had an amazing outdoor wedding at a winery, but by the end of the night my dress and train was black all along the edges. I reached out and set a time for them to come to my house to pick up my wedding dress, making the entire process so convenient and stress-free. Trusting someone with your dress (especially an expensive one) can be stressful and requires a lot of trust. My wedding was on 4/22 and a week later, I completed the order form and elegance preserved, picked up my dress the next day! I requested a preservation for my veil and cleaning with the intent to resell for my dress. Did I mention pickup was completely free of charge? They emailed me a communication letting me know any potential issues with cleaning my dress, and what would require going through testing. TLDR; There were some serious dirt stains and a light red/pink stain on the top that I needed to get out of my wedding dress. They gave me confidence that the guy working on my dress was a dress cleaning pro and they soaked my dress in solution to get the dirt stains out (sounds like this is standard). EP was able to get all stains out, but it took a ton of coordination. Here's the rest of my experience: EP was highly recommended on several bridal Facebook groups, so I reached out. Their price was more premium as compared to other cleaners, but I felt their value prop was worth it as compared to others for what I needed. When I found a dress, I contacted EP to see if they could get the dirt stains out of the dress and they assured me that what I sent wasn't the worst they had seen. Great! Bought the dress. However, their pick-up service was frustrating and so was their follow-up customer service: - Pick-up was a part of the value prop for why I selected EP, but was difficult to juggle with my meeting schedule and last minute changes on EP's end. There was a last minute reschedule during the pick-up window that caused me to move and cancel multiple meetings to accommodate the last minute changes. - I also sent an email with areas that needed to be addressed. No response or acknowledgement for my email and I received zero reassurance that they were able to get the stains out before they sent me the bill. - The bill I received was higher than what I expected, and this bill did not list an explicit reason for anything other than cleaning the gown. Variability without transparency is not the best. They eventually called to talk through my price increase, concerns, and sent me pictures. My bill listed: 1 Wedding/Gown Clean-/Wedding Gown - Cleaning Overall, this was a very frustrating, time consuming, and high-touch process for me. They are super friendly and have a pick-up and delivery service FREE OF CHARGE. They pick-up your dress after deciding a date and time with you, and examine it to provide a detailed quote. I really appreciated that they provide a free estimate because you decide to go with them or not. It took a few months to finalize, and I paid around $428 for the whole thing in two separate transactions (deposit & remaining). They picked up my dress from my home (Estee Dress by Lazaro which was purchased from Bridal Galleria in SF), assessed the worked, cleaned it, and dropped it off just like that! I didn't have to go anywhere. Something I really appreciated too was the transparency on the cleaning process and quote process. It was nice because I never felt pressured to go with them and they let me take my time deciding on whether to move forward with the service. After doing some thorough research, I had elegance preserved pick up and clean my wedding dress that I wore in late 2019. Compared to other places, they are very pricey but I was ok with spending more to ensure quality and care. The pick up and quote process went smoothly and quickly. Many times the website or email would give a confirmation saying they would keep on touch and provide updates throughout the entire process- this did not happen. I also requested they send me some before pictures if possible- if not, I understand but they never even bothered to reply to me. I checked in via email more than halfway through the process and asked for any pictures or updates and was told they don't give an update until it's done. That's fine- but don't set up the expectation and communication that you do...if you don't actually do it... Other than that- drop off was fine, no hiccups and my dress seemed ok (it wasn't that dirty to begin with- no stains or mud, just some dust and darker areas from where the train was touching the ground in a vineyard). All in all, I would still recommend but it is very pricey in comparison to other shops and don't expect to hear from them at all until they are asking for your credit card or when the dress is done. read more

A lot of the yellowing and some browning from being a sample, came out - and looked so new! I have never written a Yelp review before, but after my nightmare experience with Elegance Preserved I feel compelled. I don't want anyone to go through what I am going through right now. I trusted them to clean my wedding dress and it was returned with two large fabric bumps on my right arm along with a black smudge. After trying it on, I went to put the dress back in the garment bag they provided and the inside of the bag was covered in glitter. My dress is a solid white dress and shouldn't have any glitter on it. They haven't offered ownership or assistance to sort out these issues. I asked for them to give me call to work out next steps and to get an understanding of how this might have happened and their general manager, Sean, has given me radio silence. My wedding is in a month and they are not offering to cover any costs to repair my dress. I have to start from scratch and buy a new dress. It's awful and I am completely devastated. It took me a dedication of entire month to find my dreaming dress, and finally found the piece from Bridal Breeze on Union St. Lovely lovely design but i guess a bit challenging to be cleaned because of its fabric which is a mix of silk and polyester. also there is a bow and pearls on the waistline. But EP pulled it off perfectly! So found EP by the recommendation from the bridal breeze. From start to finish, Elegance Preserved has provided the most amazing white-glove service! We were referred to them by Tailor Maid in SF, where I got my dress altered. Before shelter-in-place, my husband and I dropped off our wedding attire at their shop in the Embarcadero. They gave me an estimate and followed up via email with a completion date. Even during SIP, they were sending me status updates and were still able to complete the preservation and cleaning by their estimated date. I really put it through the wringer walking through mud/grass. Communication can be a little spotty, it may take a few days for responses to get through or be answered. I got married in 2016 and put off preserving my wedding dress for far too long! Finally, when the pandemic hit and I had nothing to do...I decided to reach out to a few places to get quotes for wedding dress preservation. I filled out an online form on their website and someone reached out that same day! After chatting on the phone, the lady I spoke with explained their process and how they use specialized tissue paper to preserve their gowns. They don't use an airtight box filled with nitrogen because it could discolor/change the fabric over time. With their method, you can check on your dress at anytime. If you feel uncomfortable with re-wrapping it, they have a lifetime guarantee to redo it for you! Everything sounded good to me, so I decided to move forward with them. With their business's new COVID protocols, they actually include pickup and drop off service. Olivia came to pick up my dress from my house. She texted me when she would arrive. Once the dress was picked up, they emailed me to give me an estimated completion date. It took about 3 months to clean and preserve my gown and veil. Once it was done, they texted again and Olivia dropped of my gown in a pretty box. Even though I wasn't home, she was able to drop it off with my dad. I mean...can it get any easier?! I needed my gown pressed because I bought it in a different state and am getting married in SF. Elegance Preserved was more than happy to help me and even let me ship the gown directly to them. They did great for that aspect but I was worried I might need some additional alterations and they charged me and extra $50-75 just to look at me in my gown to say I didn't need any alterations. When I was shopping for my wedding dress, all I had envision was to have a long lace train cause it would look prefect for my ceremony venue. But I didn't think of how dirty the train would get for dragging on the ground all day. I was delighted to find Elegance Preserved! Elegance Preserved was fanatic! When I dropped off my dress, they looked at the train of my dress and were able to tell me they will be able to clean off the dirt. They were very professional. When they opened the box, it had a pair of gloves. I was asked to put the gloves on and examine the dress. I wouldn't think my lace train would ever be clean since its very delicate. Elegance Preserved did a beautiful job cleaning my Lazaro (style 3805) dress. It's a heavily beaded dress with lots of layers and they were very careful with it. It came out looking pristine! I knew they worked with the boutique I purchased the dress from (Bridal Galleria) which made me confident they would take care of my dress. Plus, they have wonderful reviews! I really appreciated their free pick-up and drop-off service (you get this for the free estimate service even if you decide not to go with them, but I'm glad I did). It was convenient and quick. Elegance Preserved was the most reasonable option at $200 and they will use the same materials, already paid for, to package up and preserve my dress after my wedding! Nothing but good things to say about Elegance Preserved! My experience with Elegance Preserved was smooth from start to finish. The entire cleaning process took place during shelter in place, so I never had to step foot in their shops. Pre-cleaning: I filled out the form on their website and was quickly contacted via text for more information. They set up a phone call to walk me through all of the details and answer all of my questions. Dress pickup: They were incredibly communicative about estimated time of arrival and updates via text. Pickup was quick and I believe there was an option to leave your dress on the porch if you're comfortable for completely contactless pickup. Cleaning process: Once the dress was picked up, they sent out an email confirming the pickup and sent out a detailed quote within a few days. Their credit card voicemail makes it easy to give your credit card info. They sent an update in about 2 months regarding the cleaning and inspection phases. There is also an option to FaceTime to see the progress made. The whole process was completed in a little under three months. Dress drop-off: Again, they were very communicative when arranging possible drop-off times. They even coordinated updates directly with my husband since I would not be home. Since I moved during the cleaning process, there was a miscommunication and they attempted to deliver my dress to my old address. They called my husband and still drove to my new address right after. They seriously went above and beyond. It was easy to partially unwrap and view my dress with the included white gloves. If you do decide to completely unwrap your dress and are unable to re-pack your dress, their website states that they can "re-preserve" your dress at no cost. They are incredibly professional, warm and easy to contact. They were honest about sections that could not be cleaned without causing further damage to the fabric and even sent before/after pictures. My dress was put to good use (through hot Kauai weather, beaches, rocky cliffs, dancing) and endured damage during my wedding. I found Elegance Preserved after purchasing my Netta BenShabu Eloise dress from Kinsley James in Walnut Creek, since Elegance Preserved is one of their recommended wedding dress cleaning and preservation companies. My dress is heavily beaded, so I knew it would require special care. After destroying the bottom of my dress running through a vineyard in Sonoma on my wedding day (still totally worth it) and getting drinks splashed on me on the dance floor, I reached out to Elegance Preserved to get it cleaned. I also ended up going with their wedding dress preservation, since it wasn't nearly as expensive as I expected it to be and is much better for storing the dress longer term. The bottom of my dress was full of dirt, ripped, and had foxtails stuck in every layer of tulle. Elegance Preserved made the process super easy, and most of our interactions were through text. The customer service team responded quickly to texts and emails. I live outside of the normal delivery/pickup radius, so I met them in Mill Valley. All I had to do was give them my dress and veil and that was it! I honestly was shocked that they didn't even ask for payment until they assessed the dress and started the cleaning process. Throughout the process, they even emailed me to talk about the estimated percentage of glitter loss on the glittery tulle that my dress had in some of the layers underneath. This made me laugh, but I really appreciate their attention to detail and care. I just got my dress back this week and it's packed beautifully and looking brand new. They worked some magic and I would recommend Elegance Preserved to anyone who needs a dressed cleaned and cared for. Wore my wedding dress on a misty turned rainy San Francisco day, all throughout the SF Botanical Garden. The train dragged across cement, dirt, grass, twigs, bark, maybe even some geese droppings - you name it! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't cringing inside nearly the entire time! The team at Elegance Preserved was quick to respond to my inquiry, answered any questions I had, and made the entire experience pleasant while giving me a sense of relief that my dress would be well cared for. My dress was picked up and delivered to my home within the estimated time frame (mine took ~7 weeks) and it came back good as new! They made things so easy as they'll come straight to your door for pickup and delivery. And you can let them know what date you can meet for this, so they'll work with your schedule. Communication was excellent throughout the process, and you can select if you'd like your dress just cleaned or also preserved. The end product looked great, and my dress was well packaged with protective tissue and even white gloves for inspection! I purchased my wedding dress from Sarah Seven in Chicago. When it came time to clean the dress, Sarah Seven recommended using Elegance Preserved. I was concerned because their operations were not local, but they made the process SO easy! Not only were they excellent at communicating and diligently tracking my wedding dress as it was shipped (even sending me tracking updates), they also were very clear in their communication of cost and services. I had a lot of dirt on the bottom of the dress and spray tan stains (especially around the armpits), and the dress came back in excellent condition. This review is for pre-wedding dress cleaning. I had two dresses that needed cleaning and Elegance Preserved was recommended by my tailor. Elegance Preserved would not give a quote until they examine the dresses in person (reasonably so), and they offer free pickup for San Francisco area. To do my duo-diligence I also requests quotes from several other cleaners. The quote that came back from Elegance Preserved was favorable (plus their all 5 star reviews) so I decided to proceed with them. I'm happy to say that it was an excellent decision: the dresses came back looking brand new, they even fixed some flaw during the process. What made their service stood out even more is that the dresses were ready to pick up at late March (2020) during Covid-19 shelter-in-place period. Given the situation, they decided to offer free drop-off for everyone during this period. I'm incredibly grateful for this offer, and Olivia who dropped off the dresses kept the transaction as contact-free as possible. The only construction feedback is that the registration process could be more simplified, but I would not hesitate recommending their service to anyone. read more
