I have a shirt that I wore at my wedding 15 years ago. I don't remember exactly when I last wore it, but I recently found it in a closet, still inside the packaging from its last trip to the dry cleaners. It had a couple of unsightly stains--so bad that no one would accept this from a dry cleaner if handed to them after paying for the service. But it was my fault, and somehow these stains went unnoticed for many years. Recently, I looked up a dry cleaner in my neighborhood and found Han's Cleaners. I'm so glad I did. I brought my shirt there and showed it to KJ. He assured me he would try his best. I told him I had no idea how long the stains had been there--probably at least 10 years. When I returned a week later to pick up my shirt, I wasn't sure what to expect. To my amazement, KJ managed to remove the stains completely! He mentioned it took him nine tries, but he was determined. I couldn't believe he was able to restore a shirt that hadn't been cleaned in over a decade. I brought my late mom's old wedding dress and her favorite gown. It's full of stains fr being stored for quite a long time. There were stains that looked like fr metal, yellowish colored stains. I have been using Han's dry cleaners since we moved to the area in 2011. I have taken suits, shirts, pants and now our comforter set there to be cleaned and have never had a problem. My wife recently wanted to replace our tropical bedding set because it was looking worn and tired. On a whim I asked if they cleaned that type of stuff while picking up a shirt I had dropped off. I was told that they did. When I went to pick up our bedding set I could tell immediately that it looked like brand new. Our pillow shams were nicely pressed and the water stain from my wife going to bed with wet hair was now gone. Our comforter also looked great. We also had an additional three white throw pillows we use for a headboard that were starting to turn pink for some reason. They came out looking brand new also. I was afraid after having everything dry cleaned that it was going to have some kind of funky smell but there was zero smell at all which was great. Took my Gucci bag to get the inside cleaned. When I picked up my Bag it was worst then what I dropped it off the coloring bled through they also had a huge tear in the inside and never informed me. I brought this to their attention and demanded that they restitch it. All together they had my bag for a month and never called me to update me on anything. This place does good work but, their management and customer service is just plain garbage. In late February, my cloth handbag with leather trim got soaked with rain and smelled of mildew. I love this bag so I brought it to Han's to get it cleaned. The owner said that they would have to send if off site to be cleaned since it was a special item and it would take awhile. I said OK and left the bag. After 4 weeks, in mid March, I go and check on the bag. It was still hanging in the store! Apparently, I didn't sign a waiver to have the bag sent off site. They didn't offer the waiver to me when I dropped it off the first time and they never bothered to call! I huff and puff but, I sign the waiver since I still want the bag cleaned. After 3 weeks, in mid April, I get a call from Han's about my bag. He said that it was ready for pickup and it was going to be $59. OK - finally. Two weeks later, I go to pick up the bag. IT'S STILL IN THE SHOP!!! The off site cleaner also wanted another waiver signed! I don't get it - they called to tell me that it was ready? Then the owner tries to blame me for not coming in right away or calling him back right away! I took my bag and left. I am NEVER, EVER coming here again. My Husband and I dropped off his 3 piece suit, my wedding gown/veil, and reception dress 3 weeks ago. The owner asked us to give him a little time to complete the wedding gown, so our pickup date was for 2 weeks. Wasn't a big deal because I mean, the wedding is over and I wanted to make sure it was cleaned and preserved right. Fast forward, the lady I ended up dealing with on pick up day was rude! She told me my order was ready early and when I arrived to pick everything up, she realized that I was picking up my wedding gown and they needed more time. I wasted a 15 minute trip, coming from across town for nothing. If my dress wasn't going to be ready by the pick up day and time, someone should have called to let us know. Come pick up day, the following week, I called to make sure by the time I made it into town that my order would be ready. The owner was there and although he is nice, he offered no apology for the ladies lack of customer service and rude attitude. Instead he made the excuse that she didn't know I was picking up a wedding dress. A fact she would have easily known had she done her job and looked up my phone number or ticket information. The owner asked if I had seen the dress when I came the previous day and um... of course I hadn't. I was told it was not done! The communication at the place stinks. Needless to say, the rude lady was supposed to show me the dress to make sure I approved so that by the time I came in the following week, the dress would be boxed up and ready to go. I asked the owner to just box it up because I did not want to make 2 more trips there. One to look at the dress and another day to pick it up after it was boxed. Due to the terrible customer service, I ended up opening the box when I got home, just to make sure my dress was actually in there. Sure, the end result is nice, although the top of the dress box was put on upside down. For a service that is over $200, you would expect everything to be done top notch, I guess not at this place. I am loyal here because I had two items I completely forgot about (two expensive coats) and they still had them 4 months later. Ha! Their pricing is actually better than some of the other dry cleaners I have gone to and they always are friendly and prompt. This place is the best! I brought in my wedding dress to be cleaned from 2003, yes that's not a typo, from 17yrs ago. I didn't have much hope for it. The dress had red wine stained down the front of it and the bottom was so dirty. I just figured I'd give it a chance. The owner is so friendly. We had a good laugh when I told him how old it was but he work his magic. I'd swear he bought a new dress and claimed it was my old trashed one because it literally looks brand new. I wish I could give 2 1/2 stars. I like the guy who works there who I think is the owner. He is friendly, prompt and does a good job with my clothes. HOWEVER, there is a lady that works the counter on nights and weekends. She is terrible and shouldn't be working there! You can tell she doesn't want to be there. I have to wait about five minutes at the counter before she even bothers to show up. She is always on her cell phone talking to someone and can't be bothered with customers. This has happened on several occasions. My husband complained to the owner. I have a feeling he receives a lot of complaints about her. She was gone for a while but now she is back.
