On snowy days you can go sledding on the hill at the upper level. Some downsides are there are several entrances to the playground and when you have multiple small children it is easy to lose track of them. There are many nooks and crannies they can hide in and give mothers panic attacks when they seemingly "disappear". That said it's still a great park with lots of space for little kids to play in.

The much larger western side has all of the sports fields, courts, playgrounds, facilities, and plenty of seating areas. It's always busy no matter the weather or time of day, with everything from afterschool sports to dog meet-ups to people jogging. The main seating area (above the baseball fields) includes a 9/11 memorial, and on a clear day, you can get a view of the Empire State Building. The smaller eastern section is the quieter, "no active sports" area. It has more trees and a few benches, making it a peaceful spot to sit and relax. There is a walking path that circles and winds through the entirety of Juniper Valley. The outer path on the perimeter is about a mile and a half and makes for a great place to walk or run without having to dodge cars. It's also pretty scenic, with many beautiful brick homes lining the park.

So, is more likely you need to walk it a lot to figure out which are the good spots. It is divided by the Jackie Robinson Parkway and other big streets that cross it. So while walking one section, We had to stop as we run into one of those huge streets and didn't want to cross over. The Air was fresh and Amazing as it should be, so I didn't want to drive out 2 hours for a park, this one did it, it gave me the right amount of fresh air for a day. There are many people walking and running, so one never feels alone in it. There is also a Golf area available.

The road to get here is narrow but conveniently right next to the playground. There are a few picnic tables and often lots of grilling by families. The playground is next to the lake. And the lake has alot of ducks and turtles. We had fun feeding them with some bread we brought with us. Most of the playground area is padded which is nice. There are separate areas for swings, a small area for the sprinklers during hot days and plenty of benches to sit. Next to the playground is more flat, green areas. Perfect for picnics and hanging out.
