This park reopened not long ago (after a full demolition) and is now much larger than it used to be. Still brand new, it is extremely clean and everything is functioning. They have baby slides for your little 1 yr old's, Medium slides and even larger spiral slides. There's even a separate little place area for the lil ones with a wheel you can turn (its a big hit). Did I mention the TIRE SWING?!? They have 3 Baby swings and 1 handicapped swing and 2 adult swings. All along the boardwalks connecting the slides, there are little play areas you can spin to toss marbles around, play connect 4 (or was it 3...) , mix colored wheels and more! It truly is an awesome playplace for the lil ones! Oh the baby slide are 2 side by side slides so Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Nanny, Friend, etc can WHEEE! alongside the baby all day long! There are 3 steel drums that people play with tree branches, they produce beautiful soulful sounds upon tapping in different areas. I do not recall seeing a bathroom but its connected to Forest Park so I'm sure there's one somewhere!

I started coming to Cunningham Park in 2021 but never thought to share my experience, why? Well,…read morebefore I became an Elite, I thought yelping was just about restaurant. So visiting the park today I found it to really chilly and active with a good amount of parkgoers. Cunningham Park in 1934, the space has developed into headquarters for countless athletic leagues, animals, playmates, and barbecue enthusiasts. Cunningham Park got it's name in 1934, this park has developed into a headquarters for countless athletic leagues, animals, playmates, and barbecue enthusiasts. I had a BBQ here once I had to get here early and they is information on when you need to reserve a spot. I see that they installed EV charging units with solar panels. This is an upgrade because Electric Vehicles weren't able to get a charge before. Believe it or not, this place provides opportunities for kite flyers, if I'm not mistaken, I may have flew one here once. The bathroom were decent but people over packed the trash cans around the track which is very unattractive but hey, it takes Every Kinda People, to make this world go around, Robert Palmer said that, I didn't. Cunningham Park is a hidden gem for a solid, peaceful walk without having to leave the city. I took…read morethe Cunningham Loop via the AllTrails app, and it was exactly what I needed--manageable, scenic, and well-marked. The trail itself is a mix of dirt paths and paved sections, with enough tree cover to make it comfortable even on a warmer day. The loop isn't overly strenuous, but it gives you a good walk--perfect for clearing your head or getting in some low-impact cardio. I appreciated how clean and well-maintained everything was, and it felt safe, even solo. You'll pass a mix of joggers, dog walkers, and families, but it never felt crowded. There aren't many elevation changes, so don't expect a hike, but for a refreshing, straightforward walk with nature and fresh air, this loop is a win.
