First things first, you can't beat the views by the water and bridge. Plenty of room to walk bike or run here. Always clean, plenty of space for picnic or friends to hang; love the track which is made of astroturf and has bathrooms. Very safe park with beautiful views

Walked over to Astoria park to see the newly made pool but I didn't realize how beautiful the scenery was! Perfect place for a stroll and I saw a track field and even courts to play tennis/pickleball!

Astoria Park has so much to offer. Overlooking the water, it provides beautiful views and plenty of areas for families to relax, play, exercise, or go for a run. The park features a large pool, a playground for young children, a spacious track, a soccer field, basketball courts, and more. I recently spent a day there with my children, and they had a great time playing soccer. The field is large enough to accommodate many different activities at once. While some people were training or playing soccer, others were jogging, stretching, or just enjoying a walk. There is a dedicated area for exercising, plenty of benches, a clean restroom, and a parking lot that can fit a good number of cars. The pool, open to the public in December, is another bonus, and the small play area is perfect for younger kids. If you enjoy long walks or jogs, this park is definitely worth visiting. It is accessible by train and bus, with a bit of a walk from the station to the field. One of the park's most unique features is its location. Its located right under the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge (formerly known as the Triborough Bridge). You can sit and watch the cars pass overhead, a surprisingly calming sight. Other areas of the park are filled with trees and greenery, making it a peaceful escape from the city. What I appreciated most was the diversity of the people. One moment you might hear Mediterranean music playing, and just a few minutes later, a popular Latin hit. I truly enjoyed my time here with my family and will definitely be coming back again.

Astoria Park is one of the best parts about living in Astoria. The views are beautiful, it's spacious and features amenities like bathrooms, a running track, a skate park, and a pool in the summer. I love coming here to see fireworks around 4th of July, watching the free movies in the park and listening to live music. It's also a beautiful place to come in the winter. Sledding happens pretty much all over the park, and the snow blankets the park in a way that makes it sound quiet and serene, especially if you visit before the sledders take over. It's a solid date spot (especially if you're broke, pack a picnic), or to hang out with friends. I love people watching here, you'll see folks painting the scene, people playing frisbee, plus a ton of cute dogs out living their best lives. If you live in the area and haven't been here yet, what are you waiting for?

Astoria Park is a public park in the Astoria in Queens. The park is situated on the eastern shore of the Hell Gate, a strait of the East River, between Ditmars Boulevard to the north and Hoyt Avenue to the south. The Robert F. Kennedy and Hell Gate Bridges respectively pass over the park's southern and northern sections. Astoria Park contains a playground, a soccer field, a running track, a skate park, and courts for tennis, basketball, and bocce. Astoria Park also includes the Astoria Play Center, which consists of a recreation center and a pool. The park and play center are maintained by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. I'm definitely a fan of this park. Every year they have a fireworks display just before the Independence Day celebration. This year the festivities bring at 7:30pm on Thursday June 27, 2024. At approximately 9:15-9:30pm the fireworks display will take place. When I can't be there I can watch the fireworks from the top floor of my apartment building. This review is to inform you about this event and recommend you visit the park or look up at the sky if you're nearby!!

This is probably one of the most scenic tracks I've ever run on. It's a beautiful place to workout especially during sunset. It's about 30 minutes from grand central and a 12 minute walk from the subway. However it does get PACKED in the evenings now that it's warm outside. One of my grievances about this place is that a lot of people who run here lack self awareness and workout etiquette. Today I tweaked my hamstring pretty badly trying to evade someone who didn't bother to look both ways while jumping into my lane while I was doing a sprint workout... That can actually be pretty dangerous, so people need to be more aware if they're going to run here. Despite my experience, it is a great track and I'll be back for future workouts, just at a different time of the day

Astoria Park is my favorite park in all of Queens. I might be bias because I live here but it's clean, spacious and beautiful views. My favorite part of the park is the track. I walk this track at least 3 times a week to keep in shape. They have exercise machines right outside of the track in case you don't have a gym membership. These machines used to get packed during the middle of the pandemic when gyms were closed. They are kept very clean. There are bathrooms right near the track and tennis courts. In the middle of the field, there is always a workout class or soccer game going on. During the summer, there's always things to do that are hosted by the community. My favorite has to be the fireworks. That's one of those nights where I'm grateful I'm walking distance because there is always a huge turn out. You definitely have to visit if you've never been.

Last night, my friend and I came here to check out the carnival. She had a hard time finding parking. I recommend taking Uber if you plan to go. We didn't stayed long because the park was crowded. The lines were long for the rides. I love how big the park is though.

Back to the old stomping grounds - must be about 40 years since the last time I've been to this park. Great views and a nice walk. Nice to see so many people out, it was a beautiful day.

I believe this is the best park of Queens! I love visiting and going for a run here! The best views - RFK, Hell Gate bridges, beautiful skyline. The best variety of sections - track field, soccer field, skate park, playground, pool, etc The best events - carnivals, fairs, live music, tree mulching, park cleanup, movies, etc This park is not too packed and is fairly always clean. One improvement can be the bathroom situations for sure, we need more! Also, I know there's a dog run near by but I wish they renovated the dirt patch they call a dog park on the corner of the track!!!

Astoria Park is a beautiful place to walk along the river and by the bridges. It seems like a good place for exercise. Lots of people are always jogging or walking. Dogs abound. The best part is the views. Along the East River is a long path that goes the length of the park, giving you some good looks of Harlem and the Bronx. It seems much more peaceful over on this side. This doesn't mean there's no noise though. Often the park is full of families with kids. There's also dogs and other pets. It basically is a long strip along the river, so the path is the main attraction. It offers many of the best views of the city. The park is mostly safe.

I have been coming to this park for years and love it! There's an awesome array of inclusive swings and jungle gym equipment. It also has the most beautiful view at the waterfront. Having picnics on the great lawn is always a vibe.

Safe clean pathways for walking, jogging, biking. A variety of playfields and workout areas. Scenic sunsets with bridge and river views. Large open fields of grass for picnicking, reading, and relaxing. Pool and splash pads for hot summer days. Track for clocking miles and times. Even has a sizeable free parking lot! The only thing it really lacks is a lot of food vendors and bodegas nearby- so pack a picnic or chow down before you arrive! Make sure you check for nearby restrooms as well since there aren't many options and limited hours for public restroom availability.

I'm mostly exhausted from working a full time job while doing this, which has become another full time job in itself. When I started the journey to find the best rotisserie chicken in the country, there was so much I didn't know: 1) I had no idea people would actually care and be as invested in this series as they are, which is kind of cool. 2) There are more grocery stores selling a hot & ready rotisserie chicken than I ever could have imagined. I have so much work left to do. I ate the $25.99 tissi from Ouri's here at St. Katherine's Park, and it was a nice place to just sit and eat some bird. A couple basketball courts, playgrounds, ample seating, and bathrooms that are in some desperate need of some TLC. It was a vibe. The bird was actually bomb, but charging $25.99 for a rotisserie chicken should be a war crime. I will never buy it again. I'm taking the night train to Boston tonight to try Market Basket, Star Market, Stop & Shop, and a few other grocery stores. I also need to get to Texas, the Midwest, and Southern California before I wrap this journey up. I'm tired, but my momma always told me you don't start something until you finish it. One of the best things about CP is that it's open daily, year-round. On one very very cold Saturday afternoon when we got about a foot of snow, I ventured out in sub-freezing temperatures, and was surprised by how many people (thousands!) were playing in the snow. I had never seen CP so crowded, not even on warm sunny days! Not only families with children, it seemed everyone healthy and active enough to participate was out and about.
