Very cute park, hidden gem in Bayside area. The foliage is awesome if you go at the right time. The park has tennis court, basketball court, playground for the kids and a lot more to do. There is no trail map or directory in this park, but you can just kind of follow the paved path to walk around. Easy for parking and the hills seem great for snow tubing during winter time.

This is my favorite place to be on a beautiful spring/summer day. It's a local favorite of Bayside residents and a special secret that should be shared. There is plenty of parking in the park and adjacent to. The residential area surrounding is quiet and peaceful. Bell Boulevard is a hop and skip away, making this park part of a easy romantic date idea. An example of a perfect combo would be to take a stroll in the park and then go to Bell to grab bubble tea or something to eat. There are plenty of grassy areas to have a picnic and walking trails. There is also a trail that leads to the marina where plenty of people enjoy the view while others walk, bike or rollerblade frequently. It is easy to have a good workout here since the trail has some (easy) elevations or stairs to get your heart rate up. I can not recommend this park enough. It is a true beauty of Bayside. I love bringing friends here to share the scenery and enjoy the outdoors frequently.

Came for Earth Day. Beautiful park, clean, wide open space and not busy. It's also dog friendly and they have beautiful cherry blossoms on one side of the park! Great place for a stroll in Bayside.

I remember going here for a school trip when I was in middle school. Distinct memories of playing softball and having a picnic. It's been ten years. Wanted to see if anything changed. I packed some good food and went today as it's the weekend. Immediately when I got to the park I was greeted by magnificent trees and such fresh creamy good smell of nature and trees. Not every park has this smell. Maybe it was because it was cool and breezy today. Such beauty. Even the homes surrounding the park looked royal. What I really liked was there was not that much people and there was a ton of places to just hang around or be in peace. No tourists or no loud commotions. Many unique birds making sounds, I was even greeted by a baby blue jay as soon as I got there. I left it alone because the mom blue jay came flying around me. Definitely my top 5 parks in NYC. Underrated and beautiful.

I went here for a picnic and because it looked like a good-sized local park. Honestly, it was sort of smelly. So, we needed to walk far away from the water so we could eat our lunch. I came here with my sister. She hadn't heard of this place and I always like finding new spots where I can walk, be close to the water, have a picnic, etc. There were some teams practicing here - but it was still pretty quiet here. There was plenty of space in the grass near the sports fields where we could have our picnic. I would definitely come back here again. The only things I would change about this place are the smell and the lawn maintenance near the fields. The grass looked like it hadn't been mowed in a few weeks.

We'd been coming to this park for years and wonder why I haven't make a review. For today's visit we came for a movie under the stars sponsored by the city park. As the movie scheduled for today is children themed- the city park.gov offered children's activities eg coloring, pop corn stand, ice cream truck were a hit. Every summer, the park is doing a lot of outdoor events that family/individual will find it worth spending time. I enjoyed watching Shakespeare play for the past years. They set up the theater in the hilly part of the ground. The park has well manicured ground, perfect for family picnics, outings and just because day. It has a pond nearby and the view of the bay that could definitely keep you occupied while waiting for the scheduled event starts. Aside from any parks standard playground, the park offers baseball field , tennis courts, basketball court and walking/running trails. The best thing about this park, as it is a small park, and few people know about the right way to come here, while other prefer the next door big neighbor Cunningham, it is less crowded. You will find the peace you are after for.

I've lived in Queens for about 12 years and recently discovered this place.. by mistake! WHAT A HIDDEN GEM THIS ISSSS!!!! I'm almost afraid to write this review because I don't want anyone to find out about it. There's parking right before the overpass to the other side on 35th ave or you can park anywhere in the neighborhood and walk here. The park itself is super clean and beautiful. Whether you're here for an afternoon stroll or to sit on the rocks and stare at the water .. you'll enjoy it. There's also little "cabanas" (can't think of the word right now).. you can sit in them. There's an overpass that leads to the other side of the highway. I like to sit on the rocks and stare at the sailboats as well as the houses in the Great Neck Estates that I absolutely cannot afford. Anyways .. Perfect place to day dream or just to get away from the sounds of Bell Blvd.

Absolutely love this place! It is not just a "park," it is a place to get some exercise, think, drink in the ambiance, smell the air, see some wildlife, hike...whatever you want, you can probably find it here (except food, unless you are fishing in Golden Pond for dinner.) While stuck in traffic on the Cross Island Parking-Lot (lol), I would admire the greenery on one side and savor the salty air of the Little Neck Bay. I enjoyed seeing the active peeps running on the path and always wondered what those bridges led to above the Parkway. One day, I threw on my gym clothes and decided to check out Crocheron Park. I found it easily, and parked off of 35th Ave in Bayside. Plenty of free street parking along the sprawling Golden Pond. There is a trail with steps leading up to the overpass running across the X-Isle. Many steps up, but I was amongst trees and it felt like a little private space just for me. It is fun to stand on the overpass and watch the cars rush by (never were rushing when I was on it!) After you cross over, you are lead to the part where the walking/biking path is. I walked along the path until I reached the other overpass. It was a distance, and all of a sudden, there was a massive downpour and nothing I could keep dry under...just open space. I got drenched but I loved everything about it. After I ventured back up into the woodsy part, I found a gazebo, which I tried to find today, but couldn't. I made my way back to the car, I explored Golden Pond. It is right across the street, but pretty sure it is part of the Park. It isn't the cleanest looking water, but still pretty. You can fish, see some swans, ducks and birds. Plus today, I saw fish actually jumping out of the water and turtles swimming around. The whole place is just so peaceful to me. I am so gonna be visiting more this summer...just not a rainy day!
