There are no sharp inclines or steep, rocky hills. I like to walk these trails to admire nature and all it's worth. The lake that I came across while walking today made me want to jump in and swim(not sure if that's allowed). Aside from the trails, there are other little playgrounds in the area that might appeal to children.

I like the availability of car parking and multiple entrances, though some trails are better than others. The best part that I enjoy in this park is it marks the start/end of the Vanderbilt Motor Parkway trail path, it is historic, a scenic trail for walking, running, and biking, a beautiful, green space that offers a break from the city, and the paved path connects it to other parks. The trail path extends about 3 miles which makes it a 6 miles trekking distance out and back. In most weekend mornings, there is a great chance that you might see me walking/biking on this trail, so, see you there.

The park itself was quite clean as well There also is a memorial to local Vietnam War vets which is always nice to see and it was well done.

A high school is across the street. Fish species include carp, bass, bluegill etc. my kids got all bluegills. I saw another person got a small bass. Catch and release only. We also saw turtles, dragonflies, seagulls and ducks. It was relaxing to fish while admiring the scenery. One star off is because of overgrown of vegetation ( seaweeds). Our fish line got caught quite often. While it is nobody's fault and it is nature afterall, it takes away a small part of fishing experience.

There are separate areas for swings, a small area for the sprinklers during hot days and plenty of benches to sit. Next to the playground is more flat, green areas. I love that it's by the water. I've seen folks come and BBQ here on the weekends and set up recreational sports on the grass! It's a great place to hang out and feels like a mostly low key space (though weekends can definitely be more crowded). I love coming through here for a run and it's nice for walks as well. The sound was good and there were two jumbo projectors that ensured the whole crowd can see what's going on. The park was very clean and orderly. Going through security was a breeze and no headaches. We were able to bring our own chairs and small cooler for water and drinks. It was crowded but the energy was amazing and respectful. I came for the last installment but I will definitely be back to this park if there is more to come.

The lake could use some cleaning up. There's always garbage floating in it. Sometimes you'll see people playing with their remote control boats in there. That's pretty fun. How about adding a small section with exercise equipment for the adults? Pull up bars, parallel bars, a couple benches for doing sit ups. That would totally make it complete.
