This is a fishing review at the pond. Free fish clinic here at Valley stream Pond organized by NY Dept of Environmental Conservation DEC. all equipments provided including baits: corn kennels, worms and bread dough ( pillsbury biscuit dough in a can ). Their rods overall worked well except one of the reel got stuck and we had to ask for exchange. Service was good. We were assigned to a specific numbered ( numbers are spray painted on the grass) area to fish. Very minimal shade. Definitely bring your own chairs. Catfish and Carp. Catch and release only by state law. We were there for 5 hours with anglers every 5-10 ft apart. We only saw two ppl got fish including myself. I got only one fish in 5 hours but a big carp ( worm bait) about 15 inches long. A lot of ppl came and go without getting anything. I was told the pond is a sewage dump and polluted. Also there were lots of dried up dog poops along the water front. It was gross.

It's a cute little public place open for the kids enjoyment! Very cute! The kids loved it!

MerryChristmas/HappyHolidays yelpeees! Home for the holidays. Breakfast yummsss! Gifts nice. Love all around. I decided to go for a walk. As I jumped on yelp to check in, I realized it was at this park that I did my very first review. Seems like so many childbirths ago lol Today isn't as cold as I thought it would be. Hell where's that elusive snow?!? Started off with a slight drizzle of rain but now the sun is out in all her glory! My aunt wants us to go see some (popular) Christmas tree *sighs* I just wanna crawl back onto my borrowed futon. The End.

Up until now it's been 25 years since I've visited this park. When I was a kid my uncle use to live directly across the street so I was there almost every weekend. Coming back after all these years brought back so many childhood memories for me. Going in the pool, feeding the ducks and going on sled rides in the winter. Now there is new generations of kids doing the exact same thing. The park is still kept beautiful but somehow feels so much smaller than it use to be. It's a great spot for running, relaxing or playing Pokémon Go. Yeah I know that I'm an adult but that game is addicting. There are tons of pokeys there if your looking to catch em all!

Park is amazing, has a big trail for runners and bike riding. Also has a pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, and miniature golf and a play area for the kids and a lot of benches. Great park

I've been going here ever since I was a little kid. I even now work here for a summer job and I think we do an outstanding job for the public keeping it clean, safe, overall enjoyable and just straight up beautiful. The golf course has never looked better as now there's new plants put in and the cool mist of he fountains flow by as you play. The park just recently had its annual fishing weekend and it was a huge success. People of all ages said that this park was in quote "one of a kind." And I for one am in total agreement.

Hewlett Point Park is truly a hidden gem of south shore Long Island, Town of Hempsteads community…read moreparks/beachfronts. Nestled deep within East Rockaway, Bay Park - Hewlett Harbor, Lynbrook area. It has a small playground, pool and beachy areas. Not too big, but not to small, just right for a peaceful walk on a sun shining kind of day. It's just before the season really opens, so still quiet enough to take it all in. In past summers I know this location to host Town of Hempstead Music in the park evening event(s). Its an easy beautiful sandy area where you park your beach chair and listen to the mellow sound of the ocean waves behind you as the musical sounds of joy face and embrace you. :) Can't wait till the season really starts and I can enjoy a local park like this even more. Maybe I even bring my kayak down and ask to push myself off from their shore. :)

We had such a fun day at the beach and pool today and we can't wait to go back !! Super clean,…read morenowhere near as busy as - say - the TOH lido beach. Lifeguards at the pool were on POINT. they were great. Pool got a little busy but nowhere near as busy as other TOH pools, which we loved! And the beach part had TONS of room. I'm going to go back alone just to lay out and tan because it's so pleasantly quiet !! We are hewlett residents so we paid $5.50 (kiddos under 10 were $2.75!) it might be slightly more for TOH residents who live outside of east rock or Hewlett, but not by much. If you're not a TOH resident make sure you go with someone who is otherwise the cost is $30. No rafts allowed in the pool area (even floaties) but the pool only goes up to about 6 feet. We had a couple non-swimmer kids with us and they had a blast in the low end. There's also a really cute kiddie pool/splash pad area for the younger ones! I can't believe I didn't know about this gem sooner! It was wonderful. Small, easy parking, easy to get around. There is apparently food on-site but I don't think it was open when we were there so we just headed to Lazy Lobster for fish and chips after our day at the beachpool (the term I coined for this amazing spot!) Cannot wait to go back!!

Brookville Park , this summer has been a great place for running definitely rather than relaxing…read more Running very early in the morning was one of the best things I've ever did in my life it's very enjoyable. (With music) I'd have to say the park starts getting busy around the Afternoon depends on the weather. Around night time it's a nice peaceful run(don't walk slow and take your precious time) I couldn't really say if it's dangerous to be honest because whenever I run at night time nothing really happens. But I always look around and behind me just for safety.

Love this park. Been coming here for a couple years…read more Pros: the park is huge and has several attractive components: double tennis court, several basketball court, a soccer/ football field, picnic areas, functioning bathrooms and a bike path. Cons: There is no official parking lot. There are about 12 spots on the side near 147th St. and street parking on Brookville. The park much like most of the adjacent areas can present some safety issue. It's not well lit at dusk and there are some secluded areas. While I've never had any unpleasant encounters. I remain vigilant at all times. Err on the side of caution always. I keep my AirPods on transparent so that while I'm listening to music, I am aware at all times and I keep a pepper spray ( I know it's illegal ) on me whenever I'm there. I'd rather get a ticket for having the spray than be vulnerable. I also circle back to my car in between miles. Most importantly, I use the park during popular hours to make sure there are plenty people around.
