The bike lane and lane for walkers are respected by both. The restroom are clean. There is two kiddy parks and BBQ area. The park is a good way to clear my mind and get mine steps in. If you go up and down the long way, you can get a nice 3.5 miles in on this baby with some hills. Throw in a weighted vest, and you're getting yourself a solid light workout. There are already so many reviews, so just some notes: 1) Make your way around the current dump (also a Nassau County gem, seriously) and drive slowly. 2) Parking is tricky at certain times of the day and on weekends. Make sure to come before 9:30 on beautiful days, or else you'll be parking far, far away. More steps, If you really want them I guess. 3) Wear your sunscreen! Skin cancer is no joke, and it's pretty bright up top with not a lot of coverage if you walk around to the lake. 4) Beware...No lights in the bathroom and really not the best place to use the loo. There however is a shopping center close by... 5) Look out of all sorts of critters from birds to bugs.. including ticks.

Over the last 25 years, it has been improved upon immensely, becoming the focal point of Cedarhurst. Lots of things for kids of all ages to participate in. 1. The bathrooms are new, handicapped accessible and clean (see comments below*) 2. Handicapped accessible things for young children to participate in. 3. Nice amount of seating for all. 4. Parking is metered, but generally available. 5. Open spaces HOWEVER, I HAVE SOME GRIPES: 1. DOGS. NO dogs in the park! Why do locals have to walk their dogs in the park, even if they are leashed? It's disgusting! 2. PIGS. Parents and housekeepers are pigs. They drop stuff all over the floor or the kids do - and the responsible parties do not clean up after themselves or their charges. Lots of refuse cans available - USE THEM! Don't teach these little ones such bad manners! 3. HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS - from a local school, use the field for their gym class during the day. They play soccer or tag football. Nice to see them enjoying themselves, but it is a public park and their school property isn't. That's my short list. If the gripes were taken care of, this review would be 5 STARS.

I came here once with a person I thought was going to turn into a friend, and then I took my husband here when we first started seeing each other. After we hung out here a few times gazebos became a romantic and fond memory for us. Sometimes they perform concerts in the gazebo as well. This park is a lovely and large chunk of land, it provides a nice mini escape from the ordinary and mundane. Worth the visit if you are in this area.

I work near the park and since Covid hit I've been attending nightly AA meetings here with my dad until more in person meetings open up. I've also bought my son here to play. The park has many options, a small nature trail and lake to walk on. I've found my first and only geocache so far here. Two playground sessions, a basketball and handball court. For my first visit during my lunch break today because I'm going later for a meeting I went into the office to drop off letters to Santa that my son and my nephew wrote. There's an ice skating rink as well. It's a pretty decent sized park. If you want a park with many options this is one to check out.

I don't use them but there are plenty of sporting areas to use. Tennis, soccer, baseball and I believe there are even indoor basketball courts. There's a playground for the kids as well as an area to BBQ with tables and benches as well as grills already there. There's also a lake here and a trail that goes not quite around the lake or the park but it's a decent trail. I always see folks fishing here as well.

Thankfully, parking was very easy to access which is such a benefit when there are little ones who are quick to scurry. Plus, traffic is relatively controlled so fast cars aren't swerving by. The only thing I cannot comment on is the state of the bathroom. I didn't have a chance to enter it therefore I have to deduct a star for that unknown element. Overall, I highly recommend this park for all families and adults young at heart.
