Sprinklers are turned on during the summer (don't forget your kid's bathing suit and towel). Where the bathrooms are located at inside the community room, there's a billiard and ping pong table, a water fountain and vending machines for your convenience. Next to the playground, there's a basketball and tennis court, where you can also play handball, badminton and volleyball. This park could get a bit crowded during summer camp times but it isn't too bad.

I've been to many town parks in Hempstead and cannot understand why these are closed. Another issue is that the one opening into this park is a driveway access, which makes it dangerous for pedestrian traffic. This park has an opening for pedestrians but again this is another point into the park that is locked. I wish I could give a negative 5.
