Came for a walk this afternoon and it was worth it. Not too crowded unlike Central Park and people who were there seemed very chill. I saw several older men fishing, turtles, a swan couple and some fish as well as ducks. It was very relaxing a d it felt very safe.

Went here for a picnic and stroll and had a great time with my dog. It can get crowded in some areas around the pond but the park is pretty well maintained. Also, the bathroom isn't that clean so avoid if you can. Overall, it was relaxing and you can always find an area that isn't crowded. Definitely will be back sometime to explore the trails.

I enjoy taking walks in this park and seeing the swans, geese, ducks and turtles in the lovely lake. The park offers a number of amenities - hiking trails, bocce ball, tennis & basketball courts, baseball diamonds and a velodrome for biking. On any given day you'll see groups practicing tai-chi, dancing and hacky sack. People also enjoy fishing in the lake.

Walking through Kissena Park is a nice surprise. I didn't realize that such a tranquil gem existed thirty minutes away from me. Walking around for an hour, I felt I saw the majority of the park and got a great feel for what it had to offer. First, parking on a Saturday was suspiciously easy right on Booth. Second, walking through was so quiet, with random bouts of people playing horns or songs on the radio, which was welcome. Third, the park is so clean! And fourth, there are lovely bird sounds in every corner, so much so that there are birdwatchers perched throughout the park observing, recording, and filming! Kissena Park is so pretty and has a good amount to offer right in our backgrounds. Wandering here is really a feast for the eyes, and it's so accessible. There are vast amounts of space that all look so different from one another. Highly recommend you go and explore the walking trails for some R&R.

I really love this park. I feel Like it's kept clean and it's peaceful and serene. I love walking around the duckpond. It's loaded with turtles. The swans that visit sometimes and lots of geese. There are paths and playgrounds. In the back there are Tennis courts. They are pretty stone staircases. It's a really lovely place.

My favorite park in the area! Consider it Flushing's Central Park. Very tranquil, spacious, and plenty of fall foliage during season! I love that there are countless trails and it's not too crowded, so you can stroll around in peace. Bike and runner friendly. Plenty of street parking all around. There is a basketball court, tennis courts, and even a baseball field. Everything you need in one place.

Lovely park to come to for all ages. It is a very big park. With many fields. Some play baseball and softball. Or even a playground of the children. There are plenty of trails to check out and even a pond. Lots of places to sit and to run. It is like coming to a farm with all the geese, ducks, swans, seagulls and turtles. Some people even fish here. Great place to walk your dog and have some lunch. Such a relaxing place. Totally recommend coming to with the whole family and some friends!

I love to visit this park. Not only this park is only 2 blocks from my in-law's house, this place is huge. With a large park with lots of grass and trees, it has a nice walk/bike path. We normally walk on the path around the park and its a very good exercise. Within the walk path, there are tennis courts, basketball courts, softball fields and children's playgrounds. There is also a huge lake in the middle of the park. During the winter (like the time I am visiting now), the lake became frozen but I still would not walk on top of it. A lot of people are taking advantages of the park. We normally come to the park in the mornings, and you would see people gather in groups doing their exercises together. A log of people come with their dogs. Some people do not use leashes on their dogs, so I'd be careful if you plan on taking your dogs here. Good place to walk and hang out. Lots of park benches so you can sit down when you get tired. The park has a lot of entrenches so you can get in from different places. For the most part the park is kept in pretty good shape. The only downside is that no BBQ is allowed.

A simple park with sweet results to briefly drift away from one's hell. Kissena Lake with resident geese and swans, Korean War Memorial, weeping willow tree, and lovely trails. Kissena Lake brings beautiful views of geese, swans and turtles. Note: Park patrons do NOT feed wildlife animals in the lake and barbecuing is prohibited on Kissena Park grounds. While it is a lovely park that cultivates the Great Outdoor scenic views, it is indeed, heavily infested with insects. A Velodrome bike is available to stay fit. It is well maintained and contains ample benches for couples to smooch or patrons to put the brakes on life.

    Huge lake, clean water

Speechless! If you haven't been here already and you're in Flushing, you're missing out! Please try going out to this park. It's so tranquil and the air is so fresh. The size of this park is colossal. You can do anything here whether it's simply taking a walk, picnicking, feeding ducks, taking pictures, exercising, etc! Not that many people either. There's nothing really to say about this park, it's perfect. Please come here to spend some time with your family or you can come yourself to have a nice time here. I promise you won't regret it!

Great little park that sits between several Queens neighborhoods. It's also a good pathway to walk from one place to another to avoid traffic and sidewalks.

It feels like you are not in Queens but somewhere in the countryside!

Is this a good fishing spot?

There's a lake and people do fish, but I don't think it's anything you want to eat.

They got tennis courts, baseball fields, and a nice lake where people can fish (but have to throw it back).

Honestly, unless they live here, I don't know of any people going to College Point unless it is to the big box stores on 20th Ave. I get it, you either need to bus it or drive here since there is no train/subway access. The streets are narrow and the buses are wide making it even more intimidating to venture north in Queens, which is a shame because this area is lovely with its waterfront park. The view has "the city" off into the distance, Rikers island and LaGuardia airport with its low flying planes a bit closer and you may be able to steal a glimpse of the Whitestone bridge, but nearby Powell Cove's park may be better spot for that. The park was under construction in some parts so sections were closed off, but there are nice grassy areas. Benches line the waterfront and walkways that trace it making for a nice spot to chat with a friend providing they aren't suffering from springtime allergies that is - lots of pent up pollen in them trees! A couple of pro-tips: parking is street nearby and probably not the best smelling waterfront at low tide.
