This review is for their fluff-and-fold service, for which they charge $0.99/lb (if you bring in 10 lbs. or more). They gave me a $2 discount for checking in. Everything seemed clean, though the clothes didn't have that "fresh laundry scent" that I like (not a deal-breaker). The service was quick. I was able to find parking when I dropped off and picked up (though a lot of reviews state that parking is tough to find). I only have one real gripe: I asked them to hang my clothes, but they didn't use all the hangers I gave them. Some of my tops (that should have been hung) were wrinkled when I got home. Oh well. Lots of Washer and Dryers but not enough space for folding tables. Only one row of dryers have a folding area, the rest are not sufficient enough to support a large volume. Extension of the store has washers and folding tables but no dryers, so it is a hassle to relocate dry cloths from one area to the other for folding. Card system - For quarters must see the attendant no change machine even bill to bill changer. If you need to get a card for $ 5.00 and the attendant does not have (which happened to me) you are stuck with lots of money n your card and will not get credit back. This is not good. I will not go there again. WHY SHOULD I PUT $ 10.00 and CARRY BACK ON THE CARD AS STORE CREDIT. read more

I like washing at Laundry World, there are plenty of washing machine to use, several different sizes to accommodate the way I separate my dirty clothes. I like that the machines do 2 washes and a couple rinse cycles, get the clothes really clean! The place is well kept and has friendly service. Bought a brand new shirt. Ralph Lauren Polo for about $98 retail. I always have to have new clothes laundered before wearing due to allergies. Took shirt to Laundry World and picked up. Shirt was hung on a hanger and covered in plastic. Took home and put in my closet in hotel. When I decided to wear the shirt, when I took it off the hanger I discovered stains on the front of the shirt that looked like footprints. Took shirt back to Laundry World and they attempted to clean the shirt but the stains would not come out. Asked clerk what to do next and she gave me the phone number of Owner, Nick. Spoke to Nick and he stated, with words to the effect, they were not liable and that he did not believe they caused the problem. I explained to Nick that his firm was only one who had done anything to the shirt as I had recently purchased it and never wore it. He stated that he was heading out of country in a few days on vacation so it appeared to me that he did not want to be bothered with customer service. I realized at that moment that I was in a no-win scenario because small claims cases are won not based on right or wrong but who has the best evidence. I would have needed my receipt for the purchase which is easily obtainable but I would also need pictures with time and date stamp of when I dropped my shirt off and its condition. Then, before leaving the store at time of pickup, I would also need pictures with time and date stamp to prove that Laundry World had caused the problem. After pondering those facts, I decided that is just too much work and will not do business with Laundry World any more. Another interesting comment that Nick made to me was, words to the effect, that since he only charges $1 per pound for wash and fold service I should not expect the kind of service where he would accept liability for things going wrong with his service. These types of attitudes may reduce revenue in the long run, if it has not already, which then requires an owner to claw for every nickel by not paying their liabilities for damage. There are a lot of businesses that do not realize the revenue stream that each customer represents for them in the long run if they establish solid relationships with each customer. Perhaps there are so many people in LA that businesses can afford to lose many customers and keep getting new ones to replace them. I have already sought out another service provider and I will never use Laundry World from now on nor will I recommend their business to anyone. After I wrote this review, I read all the other older reviews. I wish I had looked at Yelp before going here. I would never have chosen this place after what I have seen on here. From the first time I called, I have been receiving OUTSTANDING service from this place. They go above and beyond expectation. The people working there really make the place warm and inviting, they care about what they do and keep the place clean and running smoothly. Rene and Melissa are so helpful, they are always ready and willing to help, which is such a rarity at a laundromat-- or ANYWHERE for that matter. Unbeatable, fast "fluff and fold" service at a great price, Free Wifi, places to sit, TV, vending machines...I'm so glad I found this place. Fantastic place! I couldn't agree more with Ava C. and Cassandra L. I went there because I needed the large front-loading washers for my comforters. This laundry place is clean (especially the floor), well-lit, it's got brand new machines, and best yet---they had a PBS station on one of the TV's. If only they had a bar there, this could be my evening hang-out joint! (I know, I know, I have a boring life.) read more

Met the owner Nick and he seems easy to deal with. My clothes had gone back as I preffered, but I had a jacket and a work shirt that came back with some stains. I was dropping my clothes off to be washed every 2 weeks about 30 to 40 pounds each time, after a few months I noticed my clothes didn't smell like it had been washed and all the stains on my kids clothes were still there, I took my laundry to my brothers house and washed them and all the stains came off, I told the girl that picks up the clothes from me and she just laughed. Don't know if she's the owners daughter or just a worker but this is bad business and I won't be going there anymore. read more

This Laundromat is grosssss! The machines are soooo old and dirty. They're also so overpriced. I usually go to one in Hollywood with brand new machines, free dry, and they're cheaper! As usual, they dis a great job with my clothes. For the second time, I bring the clothes in the morning, amd by 5 pm it is ready. They even hang my shirts kn hangers (per request). Laundry World's drop off laundry service has got to be the best in town. At 99 cents a pound (10 pound minimum), they do the laundry for you. An added plus is that they offer scent free, hypoallergenic laundry detergent. Clothes are always cleaned, neatly folded and presented perfectly stacked in a plastic bag (for the price you're paying, don't expect boxes). Employees in the drop off area are always pleasant. If you're hungry for munchies or thirsty, there are a bunch of vending machines around. Forgot detergent or anything laundry related? There's a machine filled with just what you need. The premise is very clean. Laundry World only accepts cash for drop off services. Only issue is that parking can be difficult to find and their parking lot in the rear is very small. read more

The laundry itself is fine but the Fluff and Fold service lost an article of clothing of mine two times in a row. The married couple who work there were very nice about the situation but the manager was not. They misplaced my comforter and I called the next day about it and the manager said he was out of the country and there was nothing but he could do about it until he got back weeks later. I was "lucky he was talking to me right now". One lost item could be a fluke. Two separate lost items is a pattern, and the rudeness and lack of customer service by the management is just bad business. Don't trust them with your laundry. read more

Not impressed with this place. Tried the fluff and fold service for first time and ended up with damp clothes that were suffocating in plastic bags so smelled like mildew. The clothes that were on hangers were ok, but everything that was folded was damp. They offered us a credit to try them again, so decided to give them a second try. This time, nothing on hangers (including skirts and dresses) so ALL of our clothes were a wrinkled mess. Towels were so crunchy from lack of softener that we had to wash them again. Won't be returning. :( read more

Very clean and all machines work. Not crowded and I love that they close till midnight. They do the card system there not so much quarters but the employee there helped me through it and when I had loaded my washer she came over and asked if I needed help setting up or paying. I dropped off pillows and was told it will be ready to pick up the next day, Melissa heard that I told my husband we would have to sleep without a pillow tonight and said that she'll try to have it ready for us that same night. They have lots of machines and very expensive to use. Beware for those of you who wash here I saw some washes there bloody linen the one they use at the surgery it has all the blood in the linen. In short dirty used towels that was used in surgery. And if you pay attention to the machine it uses same water from start to the end. Dirty and broken machine read more

We have a washer & dryer at home but we had a large comforter that needed washing and our machine just wasn't big enough. We stopped at three other laundromats before arriving to Laundry World. WOW, what a hidden treasure. It was 100 degrees outside but inside Laundry World it was cooler. The attendant, Melissa was very helpful and patient, since we never use this type of service she had to explain everything. She provided excellent customer service. We will surely return for any future needs we have and highly recommend this business. They have free WiFi and plenty of seating area. read more
