Laundry World - An empty laundromat - Laundry Services Near Me - Glendale, California

I'm leaving a review to address an ongoing issue with my laundry orders. Each time I drop off clothing, I request no scented detergent and a cold wash. My family has a sensitivity to fragrances, which is why this is important for us. I have also brought in fragrance-free detergent to ensure the request is clear, but the items still come back with a noticeable fragrance, suggesting fabric softener or a different detergent was used. I've been a customer for more than 15 years, and each time I'm told that the request can be met. However, the result has been the same on every visit. I'd like to understand why the commitment is made but not fulfilled, and whether there is a reliable process in place to ensure fragrance-free washing. If this cannot be guaranteed, please be upfront so I can determine whether I need to use another facility. I do hope to hear back from the owners. read more

Lady in the night shift(some blonde lady) is an absolute meatball. Came in at 10:30PM to finish my load that was already in the wash. SHE LOCKED THE DOOR ON ME... She said nope, come tomorrow. Mind you, this place closes at 12. She needs to be studied bc that type of attitude is crazy lol read more

First time ever going to this laundromat and will never return. Do not go here if you value a good experience. We were told we had to leave and the blonde woman in there made a shooing motion towards us and said "you need to get your stuff and leave, we're closed" they were closing at 12, okay no problem our clothes were still drying and we needed time to get them out we did have a lot and we're actively unpacking when she BACK around yelling at us that we needed to leave right then and get our stuff and get out we told her we were doing our best and actively leaving right now but it's a lot of clothes to unpack from dryers and there was only two of us. She begins to yell at us and curses at us that we needed to "get the f*** out" and said "we weren't leaving" as we literally were. I'm so shaken up and upset by this. Why let us even start our loads if the reaction was going to be this? She spent the rest of the time walking around talking badly about us as we're rushing to leave. Felt really gross and I'm honestly so sad. We weren't trying to cause issues we work all day and get off late and came to do laundry ASAP. Our wash loads were started by 9:45/10. In general a lot of broken machine and was a fine experience up until then. Last wash is at 10:30 assumed that meant as long as you wash by then you're good (which we did), other laundromats have NEVER acted like this and if the policy is that strict that isn't how you treat paying customers. Disgraceful. We left at 12:08 after pulling out at 7 1/2 x2 and 5 1/2 x3 loads. $80 total and nearly $40 for a dryer load that wasn't finished (that's fine) and a horrible experience. Way overpriced. Learn how to treat people with at least basic respect and dignity. read more

On Friday evening at 7:22pm I asked the night caretaker to check the filter on the large dryer (#102). I regularly use that same dryer and a couple of weeks ago my clothes came out with a foul odor. I use Bounce softener sheets but for some unexplained reason the dryer's odor overpowered my dryer sheets. I added 3 extra Bounce sheets on my most recent visit to this Glendale laundromat. How often are the filters changed on your large dryers? The night caretaker swept the dust but has never replaced the filter with a fresh one. read more

Quiet hidden place. Very clean! It has both card and coin options. Accessible parking. Clean restroom. The owner is very friendly and respectful. I love that it's close to work and not crowded so I can wash fast and at peace. The prices aren't bad either. Definitely making this my go to spot. read more

Clean and so many machines! Very nice and helpful staff. The free WiFi has helped me be able to multitask work and laundry :D

One of the cleanest laundromats in the area. I found this place around a year ago and have been coming here since. Machines are clean, nothing smells, everything is tidy and staff cleans and checks constantly. Recommend! read more

Great laundromat! Very clean with a lot of machines. They have a neat card system that I can fill up. Don't have to carry coins with me. The staff is very friendly and super helpful! Will be coming back for sure! read more

Night worker gave attitude & rushed me to finish putting my clothes away even though they close at 12. Ended up seeing the old man drive away wayyy too early & wondered if you're going to get mad at someone for not being fast at least do it closer to closing time. Unwanted attitude & was rude for not minding his own business. Very disrespectful read more

I've been coming to this laundromat for years; I was here literally about two weeks ago the dryer price only to add for 8 mins was 60 cents exact. I came in today just to find out that it's $1.35 STILL FOR EIGHT MINUTES!!!!!! You might as well wash at your apartments laundry room at this point or go to a different laundromat because that is way too expensive to dry and wash :// how the mighty have fallen. Like I understand inflation and all that but don't do your customers like that:/// at least add 30 mins per 1.35 charge!!!! I ended up refunding my card because this is ridiculous!!!!! Y'all might as well do the same!!!! I get 45 min for $1.50 in my units laundry room read more

Washer didn't spin my blanket correctly, even though that was the only thing in washer. No attendant on site. No parking when I got there. Also, there were some weird signs on some machines saying no rugs or else you get charged $50 if caught (very strange). More expensive than other locations. Will not be coming to this location again. read more

Ani and Khatun are the best! They always take good care of my clothes! They make sure it is clean, pressed well and organized to my liking.

It's been an about 2 yrs since I last updated my review and many improvements have been made- most important being the dryers haven't been ripping off my swipes! The pay systems has been repaired and it has been smooth sailing for quite some time. In additional, they lowered the drying prices a bit- $1 per 8 minutes, I typically need 24 min for a solid dry so it's still feels a little pricy. The facility is always really clean and it opens automatically at 5am- so the extra charge feels okay for the convenience. read more

WATCH OUT...this place "laundry world" on Verdugo will charge you ONE DOLLAR FOR EVERY EIGHT MINUTES OF DRYING TIME!!! That's four times what the competitors charge in Glendale. Unbelievable--what a scam. Also all the machines are old in there. Not worth your "time" and "money" obviously. I did not walk away -- I ran!!! read more

Did laundry today. Set temp to hot. Tub of water was ice cold. There was no notice that they had no hot water. Tired of wasting my time and money. Far from the first time this had happened. People using front loading machines have no idea this place has no hot water. Unless they put up a notice, this is dishonest. read more

The owners might be the most disagreeable people I've ever encountered, especially the man. The bottom driers don't work as well as the top ones but there's no sign to let you know that some of the machines just aren't good so it's easy to waste quite a bit of money there. I can walk to this Laundromat but I drive a couple blocks instead because it's just not worth the convenience - which is saying something for a lazy girl like me. read more

this place deserves no stars. I have spent more than $15 on drying just alone. They're dryer suck azzzz but they washer are good it's a dollar for eight minutes to dry and it doesn't even dry your clothes at all. You had to put $10 for at least to dry your clothes. read more

Everything thing is pretty organized they have bigger washers on the side by the attendant. Machines and place is very picked up. It's pretty pricey at least for the dryers, a dollar for 8 mins is insane. Also they DO NOT do quarters(only for the little white washers) come with bills. Not a bad experience just inconvenient for my case. read more

If u want ur clothes wet still after paying 1 TO DRYYYYY keep in mind those 1$ only pay for 8 mins of drying unless u are washing baby clothes come here the service is horrible girly stands around and talks doesn't even know WHO her boss is it's so crazy to be paying 1$ to dry for 8 MINUTES!!! I asked the worker for help at the atm that they have and she didn't even know it wasn't working!!! Had to go to the bank to get 10 bruh so many laundry places around that charge 5$ a wash and 25 cents to dry lord ‍horrible place hope my laundry place gets fixed soon read more

Quite possibly one of the worst laundromats I've ever been to, for many reasons. First and foremost, one of the washing machines ate three of my friend's quarters. The women working there was at least helpful in that she reimbursed my friend with said quarters. Still though, the fact that their machines do that is an issue that most definitely needs to be promptly fixed. Secondly, the price for the dryer is just outrageous. $1.35 for eight minutes? Are you kidding me?? Most other laundromats in the area charge 25¢ for 10 minutes. What a joke. Also, the washing machines are coin operated, yet to use the dryers, you must purchase one of those stupid, little cards? Very annoying, especially after just making change for their washing machines. Lastly though, and the final straw in which I will never be setting foot in this place ever again, is the way one of the employees reacted to me when I tried to use the restroom. The restroom door is code operated, like a lot of others in the area so no big deal. That said, I went to ask him for the code, to which he gave me a nine digit number (8 digits plus the # key) to open the door. I tried to do it three times, using the exact code he gave me, but it just wouldn't open. I then approached him saying that the code is not working, and asked if he could please assist me. To which he responded "What is wrong with you?!" I responded "Um, nothing is wrong with me, but there may very well be something wrong with your door...?" He responded "Why don't you get someone else like your friend to do it for you?!" I then said "Or, maybe YOU could assist since you WORK here?" He then responded "Well, you are not an old lady or someone who looks like they need assistance". I then said to him "And you look like someone who should be happy to help anyone who needs assistance, since you WORK here". He then grunted and proceeded to get a key to open the door, at which point I said "Thank you". So yeah, I guess it's the customers fault for not being able to open their janky door with a faulty code. Seriously, no better way to make sure someone never returns than to ask them what is wrong with them, when there is nothing wrong with them, but rather there is likely something wrong with YOUR door. And there is definitely something wrong with his "customer service". There are so many laundromats in the area, not sure how this place stays in business on account of their faulty machines, overpriced dryers, faulty doors, and overall rudeness. Never again. read more

The place seemed nice, I used 2 of the small load machines and everything worked fine, the dryers also worked well. But then when I used one of the 4-load machine, which was $5.25 it kept saying the door was open when it was clearly not, I tried everything and there was no one to help. The door then got stuck and was impossible to open. I was able to open it approximately 15 mins later. I had to move my clothes to another machine and pay and additional $5.25. The second machine kept spinning for about 50 MINUTES, and then nothing happened, it just stopped. I had to take my clothes out, soaking wet and ended up leaving. Unfortunately, I would not come again. read more

We've come to this facility several times but more often than not our loads do not comolete cycles therefore making us wait for an additional wash. There has never been an attendant when it happens and the pjone number for assistance always goes to voicemail. This is the 3rd time this happens which is why we decided to leave a review. It would be helpful to have an onsite attendee to request a refund - fortunately another customer thatbhad this happen to her advised that the only way anyone cann ever get a refund from this place is thru a Yelp review. I noticed this happens often here I eould think the owner would have already done better at resolving this. read more

It's certainly not Laundry Universe, because that claim belongs at that fab place on Pluto we've only read about in textbooks. Laundry World, however, has got to be a very close second. The experience is nearly fun and pleasurable...and a lot of extras in offers and distractions. 1. First sign I see upon arrival, "Hamburgers $1.99, Tacos 99 cents, and Any Sandwich $4.95." Dear Laundry World Management: Clean clothes and food, well, you sure know how to appeal to my senses! The "World Cafe" is next door, presumably, same ownership. 2. Nerd alert: Free Wi-Fi with good speed. 3. 99 cents/lb laundry drop-off. Great price. A service that I'll be trying here next time. When living in NY, this was the way to go for me. And, this is a fair price. Turnaround is next day, 9am-10pm dropoff/pickup. 4. Facility is kept clean. 5. It's huge! Rough count - 80 washers & 80 dryers. With various size washers from single load ($1.59) to 5.5 pound load machines ($5.99) and everything in between. 6. Serviced by friendly and kind staff. 7. TV's Just okay: --------------- 1. Prices are a little high, but to compensate -- the dryers are quick and 25/cents for 8 mins. I found that 50-75 cents in the big dryers is enough to do it. 2. Plenty of easy parking in a private lot so I was able to pull up close with my car, and drop off truckloads of laundry. I suppose at prime time, the 10 or so spaces doesn't cut it. What's missing? Areas for improvement: ------------------------------------------------------- 1. Dancing girls 2. Free Hummus read more

I used to love this place. Now it's becoming a rip off. Drying costs $1.35 for 8 mins. This is ridiculous! They charge in 8 minute increments so that it seems less expensive. Update: I like laundry world but they need to update their card system all around. They be jacking mine (and other people's money). Sometimes the workers give you a hard time when you tell them (they check activity but still don't believe it). The dryers...In the past there has been a few dryers that would not credit a swipe. I thought it may have been my fault, but, it is happening at every visit to this establishment. Dryers will nickel and dime my credit, this is not acceptable. I did not say anything in the past, but, enough is enough. 07 Feb 2022 I was charges for 4 swipes on dryer machines; 144, 145, and 146. I know I am a super picky person, so I was hesitant when it came to laundry mats because usually they are dirty, grungy, and gross, but... I was impressed with how clean this place was, there's a worker who cleans the machines after every use! There's a lot of machines, so there's no problem about it being too full. I also liked that it's with a card system so I don't have to lug around coins or go to the bank to get change. The workers were nice enough to help when I needed it. I will definitely be back here when I need to do a big wash or use the drop off service. read more

Rude worker/management. Overpriced and dryers aren't even half way decent. Rather pay extra money for a nicer farther place. If you don't want to have customers late at night then close sooner rather than later and say rude comments. Avoiding this location. read more

I came to Laundry World today because I was in the area and needed to do the laundry. It's pretty nice, they have a lot of washers, dryers, and vending machines to keep you entertained. They have a large assortment of washers from the small white machines for $2.25 to the xxl machine for $9.95. They also have regular (.30) and jumbo (.95) dryers. In order to use the machines you have to purchase a laundry card. If you need change, you can ask the attendant. I should have done that instead of sticking my $20 in there since my wash came out to about $10 and I don't know when I'll be back here. Oddly the soap dispenser costs $1 in quarters. They also are attached to a small restaurant called world cafe that has burgers and sandwiches from $6 to $10. As far as parking, it is pretty small. I think that only 10 cars fit in the lot. There is also street parking available. read more

Launderland is my new spot by the way. I would describe Launderland with the lies Laundry World wrote about itself in their own yelp description. It is "clean, spacious, convenient, affordable, and has new and efficient machines." They actually know what customer service is, and seem to value my business. It puts Laundry World to shame. I drive out of my way to do my laundry there now, I highly recommend it over this rude, overpriced, unapologetically terrible business. read more

Great laundry mat, was in and out. Very relaxed neighborhood. Very pleasant experience.

The dryers are really cheap here, and fast! Gotta get your own laundry card for most of the machines, but there are a few coin machines as well. Vending machine might need some food updates (candies were a lil old/temperature warped) but it was only a $1 for them so no big deal. The machine I used was really funny and made these odd squeaking sounds but it got the job done! Would come back no problem read more

Don't use this place. Broken machines. The so-called help is horrendous. They steal your clothes and don't want to truly help the customer.
