I'm leaving a review to address an ongoing issue with my laundry orders. Each time I drop off clothing, I request no scented detergent and a cold wash. My family has a sensitivity to fragrances, which is why this is important for us. I have also brought in fragrance-free detergent to ensure the request is clear, but the items still come back with a noticeable fragrance, suggesting fabric softener or a different detergent was used. I've been a customer for more than 15 years, and each time I'm told that the request can be met. However, the result has been the same on every visit. I'd like to understand why the commitment is made but not fulfilled, and whether there is a reliable process in place to ensure fragrance-free washing. If this cannot be guaranteed, please be upfront so I can determine whether I need to use another facility. I do hope to hear back from the owners. read more

On Friday evening at 7:22pm I asked the night caretaker to check the filter on the large dryer (#102). I regularly use that same dryer and a couple of weeks ago my clothes came out with a foul odor. I use Bounce softener sheets but for some unexplained reason the dryer's odor overpowered my dryer sheets. I added 3 extra Bounce sheets on my most recent visit to this Glendale laundromat. How often are the filters changed on your large dryers? The night caretaker swept the dust but has never replaced the filter with a fresh one. read more

I love that it's close to work and not crowded so I can wash fast and at peace. The prices aren't bad either. Definitely making this my go to spot. read more

Ended up seeing the old man drive away wayyy too early & wondered if you're going to get mad at someone for not being fast at least do it closer to closing time. I've been coming to this laundromat for years; I was here literally about two weeks ago the dryer price only to add for 8 mins was 60 cents exact. I came in today just to find out that it's $1.35 STILL FOR EIGHT MINUTES!!!!!! You might as well wash at your apartments laundry room at this point or go to a different laundromat because that is way too expensive to dry and wash :// how the mighty have fallen. Ani and Khatun are the best! They always take good care of my clothes! They make sure it is clean, pressed well and organized to my liking.

It's been an about 2 yrs since I last updated my review and many improvements have been made- most important being the dryers haven't been ripping off my swipes! The pay systems has been repaired and it has been smooth sailing for quite some time. In additional, they lowered the drying prices a bit- $1 per 8 minutes, I typically need 24 min for a solid dry so it's still feels a little pricy. The facility is always really clean and it opens automatically at 5am- so the extra charge feels okay for the convenience. read more

Washer didn't spin my blanket correctly, even though that was the only thing in washer. No attendant on site. No parking when I got there. Also, there were some weird signs on some machines saying no rugs or else you get charged $50 if caught (very strange). More expensive than other locations. Did laundry today. Set temp to hot. Tub of water was ice cold. There was no notice that they had no hot water. Tired of wasting my time and money. Far from the first time this had happened. People using front loading machines have no idea this place has no hot water. Unless they put up a notice, this is dishonest. read more

The owners might be the most disagreeable people I've ever encountered, especially the man. The bottom driers don't work as well as the top ones but there's no sign to let you know that some of the machines just aren't good so it's easy to waste quite a bit of money there. Everything thing is pretty organized they have bigger washers on the side by the attendant. Machines and place is very picked up. It's pretty pricey at least for the dryers, a dollar for 8 mins is insane. Also they DO NOT do quarters(only for the little white washers) come with bills. The place seemed nice, I used 2 of the small load machines and everything worked fine, the dryers also worked well. But then when I used one of the 4-load machine, which was $5.25 it kept saying the door was open when it was clearly not, I tried everything and there was no one to help. The door then got stuck and was impossible to open. I was able to open it approximately 15 mins later. I had to move my clothes to another machine and pay and additional $5.25. The second machine kept spinning for about 50 MINUTES, and then nothing happened, it just stopped. I had to take my clothes out, soaking wet and ended up leaving. Quite possibly one of the worst laundromats I've ever been to, for many reasons. First and foremost, one of the washing machines ate three of my friend's quarters. The women working there was at least helpful in that she reimbursed my friend with said quarters. Still though, the fact that their machines do that is an issue that most definitely needs to be promptly fixed. Secondly, the price for the dryer is just outrageous. $1.35 for eight minutes? Are you kidding me?? Most other laundromats in the area charge 25¢ for 10 minutes. What a joke. Also, the washing machines are coin operated, yet to use the dryers, you must purchase one of those stupid, little cards? Very annoying, especially after just making change for their washing machines. Lastly though, and the final straw in which I will never be setting foot in this place ever again, is the way one of the employees reacted to me when I tried to use the restroom. The restroom door is code operated, like a lot of others in the area so no big deal. That said, I went to ask him for the code, to which he gave me a nine digit number (8 digits plus the # key) to open the door. I tried to do it three times, using the exact code he gave me, but it just wouldn't open. I then approached him saying that the code is not working, and asked if he could please assist me. To which he responded "What is wrong with you?!" I responded "Um, nothing is wrong with me, but there may very well be something wrong with your door...?" He responded "Why don't you get someone else like your friend to do it for you?!" I then said "Or, maybe YOU could assist since you WORK here?" He then responded "Well, you are not an old lady or someone who looks like they need assistance". I then said to him "And you look like someone who should be happy to help anyone who needs assistance, since you WORK here". He then grunted and proceeded to get a key to open the door, at which point I said "Thank you". So yeah, I guess it's the customers fault for not being able to open their janky door with a faulty code. Seriously, no better way to make sure someone never returns than to ask them what is wrong with them, when there is nothing wrong with them, but rather there is likely something wrong with YOUR door. And there is definitely something wrong with his "customer service". There are so many laundromats in the area, not sure how this place stays in business on account of their faulty machines, overpriced dryers, faulty doors, and overall rudeness. We've come to this facility several times but more often than not our loads do not comolete cycles therefore making us wait for an additional wash. There has never been an attendant when it happens and the pjone number for assistance always goes to voicemail. This is the 3rd time this happens which is why we decided to leave a review. It would be helpful to have an onsite attendee to request a refund - fortunately another customer thatbhad this happen to her advised that the only way anyone cann ever get a refund from this place is thru a Yelp review. Sometimes the workers give you a hard time when you tell them (they check activity but still don't believe it). The dryers...In the past there has been a few dryers that would not credit a swipe. I thought it may have been my fault, but, it is happening at every visit to this establishment. I know I am a super picky person, so I was hesitant when it came to laundry mats because usually they are dirty, grungy, and gross, but... I was impressed with how clean this place was, there's a worker who cleans the machines after every use! There's a lot of machines, so there's no problem about it being too full. I also liked that it's with a card system so I don't have to lug around coins or go to the bank to get change. The workers were nice enough to help when I needed it. I will definitely be back here when I need to do a big wash or use the drop off service. read more

Launderland is my new spot by the way. I would describe Launderland with the lies Laundry World wrote about itself in their own yelp description. It is "clean, spacious, convenient, affordable, and has new and efficient machines." They actually know what customer service is, and seem to value my business. It puts Laundry World to shame. I came to Laundry World today because I was in the area and needed to do the laundry. It's pretty nice, they have a lot of washers, dryers, and vending machines to keep you entertained. They have a large assortment of washers from the small white machines for $2.25 to the xxl machine for $9.95. They also have regular (.30) and jumbo (.95) dryers. In order to use the machines you have to purchase a laundry card. If you need change, you can ask the attendant. I should have done that instead of sticking my $20 in there since my wash came out to about $10 and I don't know when I'll be back here. Oddly the soap dispenser costs $1 in quarters. They also are attached to a small restaurant called world cafe that has burgers and sandwiches from $6 to $10. As far as parking, it is pretty small. I think that only 10 cars fit in the lot. It's certainly not Laundry Universe, because that claim belongs at that fab place on Pluto we've only read about in textbooks. Laundry World, however, has got to be a very close second. The experience is nearly fun and pleasurable...and a lot of extras in offers and distractions. 1. First sign I see upon arrival, "Hamburgers $1.99, Tacos 99 cents, and Any Sandwich $4.95." Dear Laundry World Management: Clean clothes and food, well, you sure know how to appeal to my senses! The "World Cafe" is next door, presumably, same ownership. 2. Nerd alert: Free Wi-Fi with good speed. 3. 99 cents/lb laundry drop-off. Great price. A service that I'll be trying here next time. When living in NY, this was the way to go for me. And, this is a fair price. Turnaround is next day, 9am-10pm dropoff/pickup. 4. Facility is kept clean. 5. It's huge! Rough count - 80 washers & 80 dryers. With various size washers from single load ($1.59) to 5.5 pound load machines ($5.99) and everything in between. 6. Serviced by friendly and kind staff. 7. TV's Just okay: --------------- 1. Prices are a little high, but to compensate -- the dryers are quick and 25/cents for 8 mins. I found that 50-75 cents in the big dryers is enough to do it. 2. This place may have changed owners or something, but has lowered in quality. There's leaks in walls. Bathroom out of service, yet I see workers go in. Tons of Machines out of service. Be careful with dryers cuz some don't produce heat. So you may do a round and realize your not getting a good dry and may have to move it. And the prices are ridiculous. This place uses a card system. The cards don't work over half the time when trying to check the balance or add value. They constantly don't work in the dryers. The attendant will come over and use his card instead of giving a refund which ends up costing me more. Today, I got a new card and it wouldn't work in the two washers. Attendant used their card to get wash going. The prices are ridiculously high. The energy spike was last January and February, however, they are still charging 1.35 for 8 minutes. The dryers don't work as well as they did a few years ago. I used to be able to dry my clothes in 15 minutes on high and now it takes 30 minutes. Time to find another place. read more

For most of the last three years, I was doing my wash at a laudromat in Eagle Rock. In the last few months, every time I went in there, the place smelled like sewage. I finally asked the owner "What is that odor?" He said "It's sewage" and it was because of the restaurant next door, which he said does not clean their grease traps. There are usually sketchy characters hanging out in the parking lot a night too. So then I started going to this other place, further out, in Highland Park. It's well lit and pretty clean but the televisions are too loud and after a couple months, there was a new guy on duty who walked around with his cell phone in his shirt pocket, blaring mariachi music. Not a friendly or accommodating service person. Luckily, I realized that Laundry World was right in my neighborhood (within walking distance actually), so this past Sunday night, I decided to check them out. The place looks tiny from the outside but after you park in back, you realize it's a big place. And it's super clean. And it's quiet. And it smells nice. And the guy on duty came up to me to see if I needed help. It's also decorated a bit art deco, which is a bonus. It's a very nice laudromat in a nice old building. It costs about fifty cents more per wash and thirty cents for eight minutes of drying but you know what? It's completely worth it. read more

Overall, this place is decent. Clean except sometimes the bathroom is dirty. No shady people hanging around. Parking in the rear and on the street in the front.
