Machines (except for the old fashioned top-loaders) require a preloaded (laundry world-specific) card...which requires you to have bills (not coins). There is an ATM machine there, or you can ask the attendant to make change (though this individual always seems annoyed when I ask to exchange quarters for bills or bigger bills for smaller bills, etc). Also, the vending machine that dispenses detergent/fabric softener/bleach/etc. seems to require exact change - whatever that is, as there are no prices posted for the meager 2-3 items even available (so, bring your own). Moral of the story: bring your debit card, a bunch of $1s, a handful of quarters, your own laundry supplies, and expect a clean, functioning laundromat experience. read more

I'll give it 2 stars for cleanliness and the variety of vending machines. I was however, upset about the dryers. $1 gives you only 8 minutes of drying time and the dryers I used I set on high and my clothes were literally damp. I pay another $1 and even after that still damp like every single clothing article were still all wet even my pillow cases that are extremely thin. It's ridiculous to me that I have to pay $3-4 dollars for a single drying machine just to dry my clothes and that'll cost me I will go back to launderland where I pay maximum $1.50 per drying machine for the same amount of laundry and with all my clothes dry. read more

I went here for emergency laundry due to I needed done. However the laundry place was super boring and the machine was super old and worst part the dryer doesn't get all your clothes dry. I use to split it severals machine like I do at my other laundry place. So I did the same downfall was 2 quarters later (20 min ish) my clothes was still half wet. Like always I chose HOT for the temperature, I find it to clean better. As I was putting in the detergent I noticed the water that was running in the soap insert was not steaming... I let the water run on my finger to come to find it cold, not even luke warm. I told the attendant. He called his boss and the boss refunded one of my washes. Then I tried another machine, and run into the same issue. Now, I know it is not a fluke. I pressed the issue further. The attendant calls the boss again, says a few words in Armenian then hangs up. He then tells me the boss said he is not able to speak to you the moment. The old gentleman then explains to me with discretions that he was told by the boss that the gas prices have increased so they turn off the hot water to compensate, along with increasing the prices of the and dryers. Unreasonably priced, do not work well and require more time to dry. Spent 70 dollars to come home to bleached whites that aren't white, and all my clothes still dirt filled and stained. My Armenian friend and I was telling every person in sight. one man even got upset and confronted the worker, Mentioning he and his wife has had many fights over the laundry not being cleaned well. If the owner reads this I hope he does the right thing by either turning on the hot water, if not at least be honest and inform the customers that hot water is not available.. This place is overpriced and their parking lot holds about 8 cars before everyone double parks. The fluff and fold- The first time I dropped it off, they clearly put all of the clothes to dry in high heat because my jeans shrunk (they are the only cotton things I took. The second time I requested they dry it on low heat but they put my knit sleeve jacket and flannels on cheap metal hangers that poked the sleeves, leaving them shaped poorly. Third time isn't a charm, this time I got there and had to ring the bell 3 times before the older man came (I thought he was just the maintenance man) then when I was picking up he told me to come back with exact change (at 11:30 pm) or he wouldn't be able to give me my clothes or change. Just went to wash and I don't know why I keep going back because , a " RIP " off if you ask me . There over charge in prices of machines that don't rinse right and leave your clothes sticky and nasty and there dryers suck and don't dry they charge you 46 or 49 cents per dry and it takes like 4 times total before your clothes are fully dried !! Not to mention there card system is is always missed up so far I haven't found anything better all laundry mats are unsanitary and dirty, smell like old moldy funk stank water everywhere and very unsanitary as far as cleanliness goes !!!! I am so grossed out , just to think of all the others who washed before me and there're left behind funk left in there ugh , if prices for everything weren't so high we'd all be able to afford to buy our own washing machines, but that's not happening anytime soon so I pray I come across a decent place soon , I'll for sure let you all know when I do !!! I HATE laundry. With a passion. This place makes doing laundry not so terrible. No quarters to lug around. They've got cards you just load up with your monies and you're good to go. Swipe the card at the your chosen washer or dryer and presto! Super clean facility. All machines work. Tons of carts to go around. Huge variety of washer sizes for all your different washing needs. I always come here spending at least 50$ to wash. Today I come in I ask for a bag to cover the carts that are covered in RUST. The girl worker has a massive attitude saying no go use the paper you use to dry your hands. LIKE HOW STUPID IS ONE PERSON TO SAY THAT. Paper and wet clothes don't go the paper gets stuck to the clothes. Tells me to call the manager, so I call and he tells me I need buy the bag.. let me get this straight i have to buy it to cover the RUST ON THE CART BECAUSE THEY'RE TO CHEAP TO BUY NEW ONES. "Minus one million stars!" is what I want to rate this laundromat. But I won't. Because I can't. Here's my story: Cat peed on bed. Searched Yelp for a 24 hour laundromat or one that opened super early. Found this one. Went to laundromat at 4:45 AM. Doors promptly opened at 5 AM. Took a look around. Decently clean, lots of washers and dryers. FIVE STARS! Stuffed my duvet and bed covers into the machine. Wait, where is the coin slot? NO COIN SLOT??!! Is this a credit card slot? No. You have to go to a card machine and put in money for a laundry card that gives you credits. Ugggggggggggggh. So annoying because I only have 20s in my wallet and this location is not close to where I live so I don't plan on coming here often, but that's a personal problem. Can't fault the business for this. Still five stars, but no exclamation mark. Slide my laundry card in and the machine debits $4.35 for the wash. I wait for the machine to start, but it doesn't. The IN USE light comes on, but nothing. I wait about five minutes for any sign of life, but no water sound, no machine-is-thinking-clicky-clacky sound. Uggggggggggggggh. Deep breaths. It's okay. It happens at laundromats. Just use another machine and call the owner for a refund. Since it was about 5:30 in the morning, I searched the laundromat's Yelp page to see if I could send a message rather than call the number provided. There was no message or email option, so I called the phone number (In hindsight, 5:30 AM really is too early to call someone, but if your business hours start at 5 AM then I'm going to call you if there is an issue. Seriously though, owner man- I'm sorry I woke you up). Here is how our conversation went: Him: Hello? Me: Hi, I'm sorry. I'm at your laundromat and I think one of your washing machines is broken because it took the money from the card, but there is no sound or water starting. I waited for a few minutes and it didn't start so I just moved it to another machine. Him: How did you move your laundry to another machine if you paid for it??! Me: Huh? I... opened the door... and moved it... to another machine. Him: If you paid for it then the door would lock. Me: Well, it didn't lock and it took $4.35 from the card. Him: THEN HOW DID YOU MOVE IT TO ANOTHER MACHINE? Me: (why do I feel like a criminal...?) Um. Well, the machine took the money and the orange IN USE light came on, but the water didn't start. The door didn't lock. The timer started, though. Him: The timer doesn't matter. Okay. Text me a picture of your laundry card and the machine and I'll credit your card if you did pay for it. But not now. Later. And don't call this phone number so early. This is only for emergencies, not if you want a refund. Me: (I'm mad now) Okay, I'll do that, but I don't want it back on the card. I'd like it back in cash, please. AND IF YOU DON'T WANT PEOPLE CALLING THIS NUMBER THEN YOU SHOULD TAKE IT OFF YOUR YELP PAGE OR AT LEAST WRITE A MESSAGE THAT IT'S FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY. Him: I did. SPOILER ALERT- he didn't. ... and this, my friends, is the reason I want to rate this place minus a million stars. But I'm not going to do that and I'm actually going to give it two stars. Why? It's clean. The owner keeps this place clean. They use both laundry card and quarters. Quarters for 1 single load washing machines. I came here twice. For the first time, I used the 3 1/2 load for my Duvet. After washing, the threading is off, it got runs; must have caught inside their washer while tumbling. I gave it another chance. On my next visit, I used their single load washer. After washing my bedsheets, I notice it didn't get washed properly. There were areas that are completely dry and there are areas in my bedsheets with detergent soap still. Needless to say I'm not coming back here. This is probably the harshest review I'll ever write on Yelp, but I promise it's not in vain. About 4 months ago, I tried their fluff n' fold service. Most of my clothes were work shirts and pants (about 13 white work blouses, specifically) and, when I went to pick up my clothes, I noticed two things: 1) ALL 13 of my blouses had blue stains on them and 2) one pair of black work pants were missing. I asked the guy working there what the hell had happened to my shirts once I went home and realized what happened, and he blamed it on my deodorant. Mind you, I know nearly nothing about laundry mechanics, so I believed him but felt hesitant about the fact that I had already paid. These were 44 dollar shirts, for crying out loud. He said he'd have them washed again for free, and claimed he didn't know what could have happened to my pants. His attitude was very matter-of-fact, and no apology was offered. I returned the next day for my shirts and the stains were a little better, but they were slightly damp. I was over it all by then so I accepted them. Funny enough, my pants had magically appeared! "Oh look! Here are your pants! They were in between your shirts!" Are you fucking kidding me? I inspected ALL my clothes and you think I'd miss a pair of pants among a stack of white shirts? Alrightie then. Back then, I considered writing a review but decided against it because I didn't intend on ever returning so it was no big deal. Fast forward to yesterday when I had to get change for dollars and this laundrymat was the nearest place available. I walk in, take money out of the atm and look for a change machine. I realize they only use cards, and I walk over to ask the guy in the fluff n fold section if he knows of any place nearby that could give me change. He's holding a black pouch, counting quarters. He says, "How much do you need?" I said, "Um, maybe five dollars?" and he says, "Well how many machines are you gonna use?" I said, "Oh I wasn't going to use the machines, I'm just in an emergency and really need change." While holding the fucking pouch WITH QUARTERS, he says, "Oh in that case, we don't have any quarters. Sorry." Mind you, this laundrymat does not take quarters. This was not about him trying to look out for his business. He was just plain rude and didn't feel like helping someone out. I recognized him as the guy who had blamed me for my shirts several months ago and realized this business is in it for themselves. This is what ultimately prompted me to write this review. Don't use the fluff n' fold. P.S. I took my work shirts to my usual fluff n fold in Silver Lake and, lo and behold, no stains. ********************************************************** ETA: Please be aware that the owner likes to send rude messages to those who post a negative review. This place is so great that even though I slammed my finger in the car door today after picking up 4 (!) bags of laundry, I was still in a good mood. So, personal injury aside, I am a very busy girl with weird work hours and I swear on the fact that my time off is very valuable. Therefore, on my rare down days, I refuse to sit in a Laundromat doing loads of laundry. Also, I usually get so bored I just stuff them in the bags anyway, so although I eventually have clean clothes, I have horribly wrinkled ones as well. I also don't iron. Therefore, I use Laundry World's fluff and fold. I've used plenty of other places and have had varying degrees of success and some random t-shirts and hand towels, but Laundry World is perfect. They fluff, they fold, they put things on hangers, they cost $0.89 a pound. I drop off, I pick up, I have clean wrinkle-free folded clothes. They are a weekly date. I LOVE LOVE this place. I feel silly writing a review on a Laundromat but this place has enhanced my life!! This is THE Laundromat to go to if you are in the Burbank/Eagle Rock/Glendale area! Not only are the owners SUPER nice, but the facility offers several different sized washers (from general top loaders to large capacity front loaders). The dryers are amazing; I have never had to add more time because the load was not completely dry. I was even able to wash my sheepskin rug there--and I thought it was a total goner! The place is CLEAN...offers cappuccinos, laundry card (no more fidgeting with quarters), ATM, vending machines, sitting area, TV, ample parking (don't go on the weekends) and stays open until 10 PM. Coming from someone who has always owned her own washer and dryer and how much I hate to go to Laundromats, this place makes laundry day VERY bearable! Let me also mention that they offer BUNDLE wash and fold service for those of you who either loathe doing laundry or lack the time to do it! ;) read more

Tons and tons of washers, but the parking isn't at all proportional: three spots in the front, a tiny lot in the back. Neighborhood parking's at a premium due to apartment buildings, meaning if you're dragging in a lot of hampers or whatever, this might become difficult. There was some double-parking in back, but once you've unloaded, finding a real spot to park could be a challenge. Like I said, tons and tons of washers, from your average top-loaders to giant washers that can handle eight loads at once, and a variety of washer sizes in between. Instead of bringing rolls of quarters, bring some bills 'cause you're gonna need to load them onto a special debit card (dispensed by a machine). Beware the single-load white washers: every washer/dryer in the entire place takes the previously-mentioned cards...except these. And inexplicably, ONE of them does take the card, so you start that load and throw a load in the washer next to it, including soap, and then realize you can't start it. I asked an employee and she criticized me for not noticing. Well, ok, but when your 70 other machines take the card, I didn't think I needed to check. She broke a bill for me to give me some quarters. There's a cafe attached, which I didn't go into, but I did peruse a menu stuck on the wall; looks like a mixture of Mexican and Middle Eastern food? Laundry World has free wifi, but in the main laundry room there aren't any outlets, and if you're running a few loads that you'll need to switch around, it's not convenient to walk over to the cafe; make sure your laptop's charged before you plan on getting work done. Went here for a wash that I had which was a very heavy load. It was my first time at this location, and being that I've tried different laundromats in the past I felt really neutral about what to expect when I walked in. An employee greeted me promptly and explained throughly the fluff and fold options. With a very professional attitude he helped unload my car and even insisted on him reloading the car himself when I returned. He was very professional and kind. Visited laundromat for the first time in my life (I'm a laundromat rookie) because my building has no laundry pass 10pm rule (Laundry World stays open until 12:00AM) and with my crazy busy work schedule, it was getting harder and harder to do my laundry and I did NOT wanna waste my wknds doing laundry. Went into store totally unprepared and not knowing what to expect and then was greeted by this nicest, very helpful lady ( Long blonde hair) who basically helped me through the entire stay, step by step. You'd think it should be no brains but for the laundromat rookie like me, I needed a little help figuring out which machines to use (separated by pounds and kinds) and how to get my card for the washer / dryer (They use the card service and not coins but need to bring cash to load or get a new card), etc. While you wait, they have 2 arcade style video games, free wi-fi (pretty good signal), tables / chairs everywhere, TVs, and a snack corner in the back so plenty to entertain yourselves. If I may add couple of things, the Laundry World could clean the facility little better (It didn't feel all that clean inside) and be prepared for the lack of parking spaces. Their lot is very little and you might have to double park which sometimes people could get very impatient waiting for you to come out and move your car. While I was there, I saw a lady honking her horns nonstop until the owner of the car behind her finally came out. Really? Honking your horn nonstop won't help anyone but annoy everyone!!! Can't really say much about the prices because never been to other laundromats but I thought it could be little cheaper for sure. I ended up spending like 15 dollars to get my 2 loads of laundry washed and dried. Overall, I had a pretty pleasant experience and I definitely liked how friendly all the staffs were. This place is like the Disneyland of laundry mats! Clean and well maintained. There are different size machines for larger or smaller loads. They're open until midnight! That's a plus for me! Marginally higher price points are justified by the newer machines. They have a card system that accepts bills which is helpful since you don't have to carry around rolls of quarters from the bank. I used their laundry drop off service and I was so glad I did. I dropped off my two weeks worth of laundry on Saturday morning and it was washed, dried, folded, and hung by 5:00 pm the next day. They also used the detergent I supplied. They really did an amazing job. The lady taking my laundry was super nice and answered all my questions. I was so excited to have my clothes back clean and neatly folded. As a Mom who works full-time and is currently going through a home renovation the service they provided was beyond my expectations. Just moved to the neighborhood a few months ago and it's been really strange having to go to the laundromat now (it's been 20yrs since I've been in a laundromat). The first place I went to (maple & verdugo) was such a dive and after a couple of months, I just couldn't stand going there anymore. Laundry World is sooo much better and cleaner. It's a lot bigger and there are so many washers and dryer, you'll never have to wait to do your laundry. I love the whole laundry card process too. The parking situation was terrible eventough they have their own parking lot in the back. The place is big but alot of their machines are out of order. You have to pay a quarter to use the bathroom. The machine ate my quarter for the bathroom and the employee had no intention of offering me a refund. The prices are higher than most other washing places. You have to buy a laundry card to use the machines. The only plus side was that it is open until midnight which is the reason why I came in the first place. read more
