DO NOT GO HERE. I just picked up a coat I had cleaned and it was the worst quality cleaning ever. There were rhinestones on the coat buttons, and when I got it back over half the rhinestones had fallen off and been repaired sloppily, with damaged rhinestones and a bad glue job. And they DIDN'T EVEN MENTION IT TO ME and still charged me full price. I noticed it once I got home and took it out of the bag. They also won't answer the phone, the line is always busy. read more

Super unreliable. brought in a jacket, pants, shirt and they promised it'd be done before a wedding i had. They got 2/3 of the pieces but NEVER gave me back my shirt and said it was in a different location. I went back 3 times even after the due date and it still wasn't done. My shirt is lost now because i'm not even in glendale anymore. if the owners or workers could text me if it's ready, maybe i'll change the review. I really felt like they were going to be the place to use in the future but when my husband was putting on his tux shirt we realized it had been shrunk. I know this for a fact because we scrambled and had to go get a new shirt for him and he got the same size as the shirt I brought in. I DO NOT RECOMMEND CRYSTAL CLEANERS IN GLENDALE. We have a 6x4 foot rug that needs some deep cleaning. I called ahead to Crystal Cleaners around the corner. They advertise as eco friendly and when I called they said it would be $2.25 per square foot, which equals $54 for a 6x4 foot rug... I guessed, but it's gotta be very close to this size if not exact. When we brought it in, first they said they'd charge $87 and then when I questioned them saying this was different from what I'd been told on the phone, they said $60, then $30-$40 but they'd have to measure and then call to let us know for sure... Fast forward to 3 days later and I got a voicemail saying it would be $130-150 "with discount"?! Seriously? We only paid about $150 for the rug brand new! Needless to say, taking it elsewhere. The woman who "helped" us when we dropped it off was also totally dry and rude and neither my husband or I felt good about this place right off the bat. read more

First visit: Dropped off a tie with a few stains. They said they could get it out. Result: They put a hole in my tie (silk tie ruined, see picture), but they gave me a credit. Second visit: Dropped off three new shirts to be dry cleaned and applied the credit. Result: When I picked it up, they weren't dry cleaned, they were laundered. Not what I requested. ALSO, they put a blue stain on my white shirt, see picture. They said they would clean it again. Third visit: Came to pick up my white shirt. Blue stain gone, but now the collar was dirty, see picture. Conclusion: Never coming back. Some workers are more professional than others. When I picked up my white shirt and explained that my shirt was still dirty and that I didn't think I was ever going to come back again, the blonde older lady nonchalantly replied, "okay" as if nothing had happened. read more

I came across a situation where they tried to make me believe their lies about my belonging, little did they know they came across the wrong customer who wouldn't fall into their trap. ( I know exactly what stain I had on my belonging and they RUINED my item and tried to say I brought it in in this condition!) If they continued their game I would of took them to small claims court 100%. Professional liars, over-priced, just disgusting! I will leave it to that. Do not go to these people! My first experience with them and couldn't have been worse. Services are not done on site so if something's wrong ie starch when you say clearly NO STARCH or I need it for vacation, can it be ready? and it isn't there when you go pick it up, the owner blames the people she sends it out to - never takes responsibility for the screw ups and lies about the location saying pants are done here and dresses are done there. One of her workers told me thats not true it all goes to the same place. Perfect excuses for an unprofessional, dishonest owner, who has no problem lying through her teeth. I'm being extremely nice and giving one star because most people who are treated the way I was by a business would hope they would crash and burn. I was taking a few items of dry cleaning there for a couple of months. Minimalist design and its proximity to home, plus decent quality and price (they ship the clothes off site for cleaning) was enough to keep me satisfied. I finally decided to try their delivery service to my apartment. I dropped a dress off a week in advance and told the woman (I think she was the owner) that I needed this dress done because I was using it for a job interview and that the dress had to be there Monday because I had an interview Tuesday. I was assured that it would be taken care of. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was not able to go to the front office of my complex on Monday evening, but since I had previous decent service I trusted that my dress would be there for my morning interview. Of course it wasn't. I had to Dryel a dress for a critical job interview. When I came after my interview and asked why my dress wasn't delivered when they said it would be there they told me they forgot. Then I was asked if I mentioned how important the timeliness of the work was by the younger middle aged Filipina (I'm assuming). When I said yes she made an "oops" face and said that she can give me my dress the next day and that it wasn't ready because it rained the other day and it was so relaxing she just didn't get around to a lot of her normal work. I was infuriated and asked to speak to the owner, and she said she'd be in tomorrow when I got my dress. It gets worse. When I came in to get my dress the same woman was there (no owner) and she actually told me, "Well, I doubt this dress would have gotten you the job. It isn't that nice." When I very understandably became insulted she told me, "You shouldn't get so upset. Maybe this is God's way of telling you that you weren't meant for the job." At this point I demanded the name and hours the owner worked and vowed to never come back. She reluctantly gave the requested information, but was obviously irritated that I was upset. I never called the owner. I should have seen to it that the woman was reprimanded if not let go. But I figured that the owner must have known how incompetent her staff is. This happened in February or March of 2010. My husband has a lot of dry cleaning needs. They missed out on a lot of revenue. And months later I'm still disgusted. Lesson learned: Do not use Crystal Cleaners on Glendale Blvd by Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. read more

*(ADDENDUM: I changed this from 1 star to 2, because they gave me a $15 credit towards future business) I have written a favorable review from them in the past and brought half a dozen items here, but have had a terrible experience of late. I have been as patient and friendly a customer as possible and have not raised a stink at all but after my FOURTH VISIT (since the drop off) I am finally leaving a review. 6/22/13 Dropped off two items. ONE WEEK LATER Picked up and PAID FOR BOTH ITEMS. But was told one of the items was "not ready" and to come back. I asked if it was lost. Said not to worry, they would take care of it. CAME BACK AGAIN NEXT WEEK Was told by Elizabeth that the other item that was "not ready", my peacoat, had several buttons broken by the dry cleaning machine. I was upset, but at least they were going to take care of it. CAME BACK TWO MORE TIMES. Item still not ready with replaced buttons. Elizabeth said she was trying to find a match to the buttons, and would replace some of the broken ones. At this point, I have to leave for work in SF, when I would like to bring my peacoat but it is not ready yet. 9/18/13 (PLEASE NOTE THE DATE!) Elizabeth calls and said she found buttons that were not a great match, but to come in the next day on 9/19/13 and we would talk. 10/11/13 Came into the store to retrieve the coat after SF business trip. Elizabeth is not in. I said I need to speak to her. They said I could retrieve my coat. I retrieve it, and even though I see that only the front buttons were replaced with a set of 6 (I understand that my old buttons were vintage buttons that cost $10 each and there were 12 on the coat front/back- so they only replaced some- that is logical) -- but the 7th one that is RIGHT NEXT TO THE OTHER 6 is not replaced -- so the 6 that match one another and the 6 that don't match are still NOT COMPLETE. I ask to at least get a refund for my having paid for these items in June. Robert says he cannot refund me. He says I will have to COME BACK AGAIN TO TALK TO ELIZABETH. ** THIS IS TERRIBLE BUSINESS! I have come in now 4x and Robert tried to blame me for "leaving it for months" - so I PLAYED HIM THE VOICEMAIL from Elizabeth from 9/18/13 which had the time stamp and I put it on speaker for him. I also asked the other employee if she recognized my face from having come in so many times to check on this coat. The fact that my buttons which cost $10 each were not even able to be matched and are broken and this took THREE MONTHS for them to do (counting only up to 9/18) and even STILL the 7th button is STILL MISSING because they over looked it even though it is RIGHT NEXT TO THE OTHER 6 buttons they bought. AND NO REFUND?!?!?! LET ALONE ANY KIND OF APOLOGY OR OFFER FOR FUTURE CREDIT? ARE YOU JOKING? Not professional. Dry cleaning is done off-site. Convenient location. You get a detailed computer generated ticket. Clean and professional space (spartan ikea). No Seinfeldesque moments or personalities to deal with. Alterations space in the back with privacy for trying stuff on. 2 pairs of slacks, a sweater, and a silk top for $18. In a strip mall, between a coffee bean and a video game rental shop, across the street from the Whole Foods. Did you ever hear of a description that applies to more places in LA? read more

I was leaving on a 5 a.m. flight the next day to Chicago for the holidays and realized at 7:40 p.m. that I'd neglected to pick up my winter coat from Crystal Cleaners. I called and asked what time they closed and was informed 8 p.m. I told the employee that I was on my way and didn't even have to explain my situation, and she said that she would pull my items and wait for me, even if it was past 8 p.m. I didn't ask her to do this; she just offered. Now THAT is customer service, and (combined with my previous experience when I accidentally left my license in a coat pocket) it is also the reason why they will forever have a loyal customer in me. read more

I was very pleased with this place. I chose this place based on some Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. Robert was the name of the man who took my order and gave me my clothes at pickup - at least, that was the name reported on my ticket. He was very professional and kind - I liked that he was pleasant. I had a ton of drycleaning and needed the hem on a pair of new pants let out. When I tried on the pants that needed alteration, he recommended a hem length by eyesight. I agreed. When I got the pants back drycleaned and tailored and tried them on, the hem was perfect. I could not be more pleased. My remaining items of clothing were drycleaned fantastically. As a chronic Yelper and otherwise picky woman, I highly recommend this drycleaner for their professionalism and great quality of work. read more

This is our favorite dry cleaner in Glendale. We have tried a few other places but they are always so great, straightforward, and efficient! If ever we have a tight timeline they are always so amazing at helping us get what we need cleaned in time! Not only that but the integrity of the staff is amazing. We had accidentally left some cash in a coat pocket and they ran out to the parking lot to give it to us before we left - many people would've just kept it for themselves! 10/10 recommend this place for anyone in the area who is looking for a dry cleaner service. read more

This got to be the worst dry cleaner in California, not just Glendale. I tried them because of some good reviews, but check this out... I took 2-long skirts to them for cleaning because they had few spots, I made sure that the spots were marked. I came back to pic them up, & wisdom told me to check them, & for sure the spots were still there, I pointed them out & asked that they would please clean the skirts again. I came back to pic them up & wisdom told me to check them again, what...this time they had waves of discoloration from top to bottom which was described as done when they steamed them (mind you these are regular cotton skirts that I have taken before to other cleaner with no issues), these skirts were not wearable...at this point I was loosing my pacience, the sales person seemed like she can't make any decisions, so I asked if I can speak to the manager. She called, & he sounded anoyed that I was speaking to him, I asked him if he could look at the skirts & give me a call, ofcourse he never did. I called again the next day, he said that he drops at the store around 5pm, so I said ok I will stop by. I could not make it so I called the store to let them know & asked the sales person if he can call me when he comes in, ofcourse he never did...& the worst part is his unfriendly tone when he talks to me! Got to be the most unfriendly manager of a bussiness that I ever dealt with. So what's next in this saga, I went back to the store & asked if they could send them & get all this discoloration resolved, I also had a cotton top with little salad dressing stains on it, so I dropped it for cleaning (wrong decision), & clearly marked them because that was all what needed cleaning. When I came to pic everything up, the discoloration was almost gone except lightly on one of the skirts, but when checked the top...you guessed it... the stains were still there...at that point it became clear to me, there is something wrong with this place, & they can't get their bussiness in order. I asked that the spots on my top be cleaned, & had to come back for it. First, my garments were cleaned too many times that only adds to their wear, I had to waste sooo much time going back & forth, & on top of that the manager acted like he is doing me a favor. Yikes! I will give them -5 stars if I could. In fact, my experience with Crystal Cleaners has been one of THE WORST! of all. In summary, I dropped off my Vince cardigan sweater coat retailed at $350 for dry cleaning then realized when I got home, after picking it up in good faith, that it had nasty holes on my sleeves' ends. In fact, they almost looked like they were shredded. Still in good faith, I took it back to them and asked to please fix them. The lady ( Mid-aged with heavy make-up and big hair) who was working the counter basically argued that it was not their fault and started to get real nasty with me. Refusing to back down, I told her that A. I will not do that to my own expensive clothes B. If it was like that when I brought it in, why didn't she have any note on it? C. It was fine when I brought it in and now it isn't so who do you think did the damage to it? At that point, she hostilely agreed to take it back for repair then shouted 'At no extra cost!' as if this whole mess and complete waste of time and energy was what I asked for. When I returned a week after as promised to pick up my damaged cardigan, she shot me a dirty look then told me that it wasn't repairable and I need to cut the damaged ends of my sleeves off. At that point, I asked why she didn't call me to let me know before I had to make a trip down to cleaners to find out and she just said, I don't know. So I told her to cut it off just enough to get rid of the damaged ends then went back YET AGAIN a week later only to be told off that they for some reason forgot to work on it. YET AGAIN, another week goes by (At this point, they had my cardigan that I dropped off for a simple dry cleaning for over a month) I finally was able to pick it up from them. All this time making my trip back and forth, back and forth to fix the DAMAGE THEY CREATED, NEVER ONCE DID THEY APOLOGIZED. NOT EVEN ONCE, DID THEY SAY I'M SORRY TO ME!!! NEVER!!! What kind of crappy business can't admit let alone apologize for the mistake they made and treat their customer hostilely instead! I so regret ever stepping my foot into Crystal Cleaners and really hope that they learn one day, good business is all about good customer service! read more

I'm easily persuaded by aesthetics and this place looks like it was furnished by Ikea so I gave it a try. Brought in a couple of shirts and had them washed/pressed for a buck and some change each. Picked 'em up two days later and found a mysterious stain on one of them just as I walked out the door. I quickly brought it back and they said they'd dry clean it for me, free of charge. I've been back since and have had no problems. If this wasn't located right next to a Coffee Bean I probably wouldn't have given them another shot, but I'm glad I did. read more

As another review states, the employees have changed. Happy many times, unhappy now. Item did not come clean, really it just looked like it had a large spot from the cleaning chemical. They took it back and said they would try again. I came back in a few days and they did not try again, and said as much. i asked for my money back and the employee said, "I can't do that, I'm just an employee." Full refund or re-clean If the item is poorly cleaned, you can ask for a refund. If the cleaner offers to reclean the item it may be reasonable to allow them to do this. Crystal Cleaners are an absolute JOKE. I am being generous with a 1 star. As a business owner myself, I understand that mistakes can be made and issues may occur. Therefore, I have always refrained from leaving a negative review of another business on any platform. However, the absolute lack of professionalism and POOR cleaning service I have received time and time again from Crystal Cleaners have prompted me to do something I have never done before. Long story short, I took my clothes to Crystal Cleaners for a total of 5 or 6 times. I found myself almost always taking my clothes back for a redo because stains would never be removed. The last straw for me was when I brought in a dress shirt for dry cleaning. I had paid around 250 dollars for this shirt. When I picked up the shirt, I noticed it had shrunk from a medium to literally an extra small. I WAS FURIOUS. They threw my shirt in a washing machine. There is literally no question. I took my shirt back the next day seeking an explanation. When I explained to the lady there that this shirt shrunk big time and that I paid a decent amount of money for it, she could not give me a straight answer. She had no clue what to say. She just told me to leave the shirt there and that she would speak to the owner. I also asked to speak to the manager or owner and she did not allow it. A couple days later I received a call and headed back to Crystal Cleaners. Her final explanation was that designer brands have a tendency of using cheap fabrics and rip off their customers. Load of BS. I politely told her I am not buying anything she is saying and that this is absolutely unacceptable. I paid up nonetheless and got the hell out of there to put an end to this cringeworthy interaction. I would like to mention that she claimed that they did unshrink my shirt. When I got home, I tried it on again and it was still at an extra small. Not that it mattered anymore. They ruined a great dress shirt and lied to cover it up. I don't need dry cleaning too often, but when I do, I use Crystal Cleaners and have been very happy with their service. They do the tailoring of our jeans and it's always a great job. I once had them alter a dress that was a little big on me and the tailor had made it too small. They were willing to reimburse me for the dress, however, somehow their tailor worked their magic and fixed the dress perfectly! read more

The staff at Crystal Cleaners didn't even bat an eye, handled the somewhat challenging alterations very well and had the costumes back to me exactly when they said they would. Can't ask for better service (and very friendly!) I also do my standard dry cleaning here and am always pleased with the quality and speed with which my items and returned. They also have good pricing and helpful people behind the counter that make you feel appreciated where most other places don't. This place used to be my favorite dry cleaners just up until a few months ago. My favorite manager Robert and his mom Elizabeth would always greet me with their smiling faces and always made time for me despite their busy schedules because they knew I was always in a hurry. They are no longer there and I wanted to give the new owners a shot, but things have just gone downhill. My clothes took longer and I got them back in sub- par condition. Blonde gal who works there, her name escapes me, isn't the friendliest person either. We had such high hopes for this cleaner but on our very first time they lost one of my made to measure Nordstrom shirts. They keep trying to tell us the differ t much cheaper short was mine. It's been two weeks and they still need a few more days. I will give them 3 and if they can't find it and return it in perfect condition I expect 100% reimbursement or we will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the Glendale Chamber of Commerce and small claims court. My girlfriend goes to the Crystal Cleaners in Granada hills but I've been using the Glendale one for a while now. I will have to say that aside from the pricing the service in Granada Hills is seems to be much better than the one in Glendale. I either caught her on a bad day or after a bad customer but she didn't seem herself today. But aside from today they're a lot better than the last cleaner I used which ruined several of my pants and dress shirts. I still will go back to this place as my main cleaners spot. read more
