I gave a decent amount of stars because this is the place I always go to. It's spacious, all their machines are always working & aside from the detergent machine always being out of order they're otherwise a good place. I do have one issue I encountered this weekend. I did a drop off and had them wash my clothes. When I picked my clothes up one of my bags had wet detergent all over it...now that's unacceptable. They had my cat's bed outside of plastic and this detergent got all over my cats bed as if she doesn't deserve a dry, clean bed smh and I had to re-wash the bed! By the way did I tell you it was still wet and had detergent all over it? The second pic is after re-washing after here washed and I didn't even add soap! There was so much soap in that wash. Now I've done 1 drop off before so maybe this was just a one off. The staff needs to make sure any surface they're placing our clean clothes we paid to get clean, is dry and clean before putting out bags on it. The lady upfront was kind, my issue isn't with her, she might not even been the person they placed the bag (she's older and I doubt she did) but I should've gotten some money back or something. I didn't ask her because I figured you know what, I'll re-wash it smh spend more money I shouldn't have to spend and time I didn't have...that's why I got these washed. I brought in my winter coat Monday. When I came to pick it up Friday it was ruined. Dirtier than when I brought it in and the lining is destroyed. Looks like it was put through the washing machine. When I asked for a refund I was refused. I was told to come back Monday when the manager is in. When I came in this morning (Monday) I was given the runaround yet again. Have heard good things about the inside and cleanliness of this laundry Matt. I can only attest to the pick up and drop off service which is 5 STARS. It's easy to schedule a pick up and they contact you right away, the clothes come back clean, smelling wonderful and everything is packaged neatly and tidy. The cost is fair considering the added services and It is well worth It. Especially in these times where going outside, and doing laundry isn't something available to everyone. It's big and clean, but I hate the card system they use to pay. I get it... it's supposed to be modern and easier than quarters. IF THEY WORKED! I can't tell you how many machines dont work when you enter the card 50 times. Then the employees will try with a metro card to get the card to work. Even then once my clothes were loaded and the machine didn't start so I had to move my clothes to another machine. Talk about inconvenience.. And for dryers you have to keep entering it for every 8 minutes. So it takes me 20 minutes to get it to work, which eliminates the "benefits" vs quarters which would take me less than a minute to start. I like Laundry Haven, but the whole card paying system makes me so frustrated that it's not even worth going there anymore. Plus you have to pay $1 for a card. read more

I'll have to say goodbye to this place , after trying and trying I'm still very very unhappy Besides the NO WATER in the rinsing cycle , I'm tired of my white clothes coming yellow from the dryer , they go in whiter and looking cleaner then the way they look by the time I'm done , I use the medium cycle not the high on the dryer and my whites still come out looking yellowish looking like they're burned , my clothes come out looking like they haven't been washed , no water in the rinsing cycle I myself have to keep adding water and many other issues , yeah the place is nice and big but so what ??? I don't go there to hang out I go there to wash my clothes and you guys are not cheap either your washers are quite pricy I wouldn't mind the price if my clothes were cleaned properly without me getting stressed out so it's best I ho back where I came from. Yeah the other place is smaller and not fancy looking but st least my clothes are cleaned My socks look yellow not white so does my towels and my blanket comes out of the washing machine with all that gross stuff on it WTF ???? I left the neighborhood for quite sometime and recently went to visit family that still lives a few blocks away from Laundry Haven . As I passed by I saw the change right away from the outside . The building was upgraded and beautified giving the neighborhood a nicer appearance. I did do my laundry and was pleased with the cleanliness of the place and how organized it was again. Unfortunately I won't visit as often as I did but I am happy this place was given a new life again for the Woodhaven Residents . Keep up the good work! read more

After hearing the laundromat was under new management, I gave them another chance. As you enter the parking lot you can already tell it's been upgraded. I had the opportunity to speak to the owners Alfredo and Charles. They were very friendly and professional. All the machines were updated and take the reloadable card which is convenient when you don't have cash handy! The place is clean, Wifi password is posted up for your convenience, and the whole experience was a complete 180 from the last time. I like that place because it's big and clean. However I noticed lately that there is no warm water in the laundromat. Even when you choose the hot water program on the machines, it's still cold. There is no difference between the cold, warm or hot washing program. I think there's a problem because even in the bathroom when you turn on the warm water it's stays cold. From bottom of the barrel to a place you can eat your dinner comfortably, but don't do that because it's a laundromat and you're supposed to wash your clothes there only. I stopped going back but every once in a while I would bring something to clean and each time the place has been clean, air conditioned, machines available and generally has been a good experience since the change of management. This review is a little old, since my review the laundromat has completely changed. It looks different on the outside, I'm not sure about the inside. There's completely different staff and owner. The owner reached out to me and wrote me the nicest email after looking at my review and offering a chance to fix past mistakes that wasn't even his fault. I think everybody should give this place a chance although I don't live in the neighborhood anymore so it wouldn't really work for me. This place has recently been renovated,and it looks great. Not only is it open 24/7,but I've been coming here for years and I always drop my clothes off and I always get all my clothes back. (Which is not the case in many places).It is a cash place which I wish they had an option to pay card so I can write off my laundry on my taxes. Over all my clothes always smell clean and if I need specific instructions such as not drying an item,they follow directions. There is an option to rent parking space there that's a plus since it's really heard to find parking in this area. They always have some romantic music playing like Julio Iglesias and that always brings me great memories. Won't stop coming here until I have my own washer and dryer in my house :) read more

I know. I KNOW. A year later and I'm still going to this place with my truckloads of dirty laundry. I almost want to open up my own 24hr laundromat just so I'd know there's at least one good one in the neighborhood but then I'd be the living embodiment of the Asian stereotype. Anyway, I'm here again at Haven Laundromat and why I'm still goggle-eyed at the number of out-of-order machines is beyond me. I guess I am just ridiculously naive about expecting business owners to fix/maintain/provide their customers with the services and products they're paying for. Like working washers and dryers. Today (May 3, 2016), 10 out of 44 washers and 15 out of 48 dryers (that's 22.7% and 31.25% respectively for all you numbers people) are unavailable. At the moment, it's not at all busy so there's no competition for machines. Unlike last week when some lady freaked out on me because I inadvertently used "her" washer (#21, in case you're looking for a fight and need to cut someone). I'd be ok with this place shutting down for 24 hours while they got their shit together. Seriously, Haven, can you just get all your machines up to par so I don't have to fight crazy laundry bitches? Fix the card readers too while you're at it. Also, the ATM is out of service today. Get cash for your laundry card before you come in for your weekly frustration. read more

Glad to see I am not the only person shocked that they raised their prices during a pandemic. From $2.90 to $3.45 to wash a small load. I left a message for Joey/Charles as per the posted complaint sign and no one ever called me back. Honestly, the business should have postponed the price raises until after people were able to go back to work. All of the "goodwill" they garnered with the aesthetic updates is totally wiped out. I used to have a 1 star review because the business was absolute garbage. BUT, with the new management, this business has improved greatly. They've fixed all the driers that were out of service and added like 8 new tv's which is incredible. Inside is much cleaner and useless items taking up space were removed. Washers not working dryers not drying. And some really Filthy dirty Disgusting clothes being washed there and they would not run the washer again to clean it out with ammonia. I would drop off my laundry. By the last time I went there and was Finally fed up. They Lost my laundry and gave it to someone else. I was standing there with 3 other people. And They could not find anyones laundry! They found a bag, opened it and it had someone's else name but my clothes. Then they still wanted to charge me! The owners were away on Vacation and the several employees there were actually Not Employees at all except 1. She called her family or something to come help her. 5 men were behind the counter and Clueless as to what to do. I've been coming here for a while now and I was considering going to a new laundry mat because the conditions were really bad. But recently it came under new management. It has really improved a lot they did a total renovation. The new one is friendly and there to help when there is an issue. The machines are finally all working! I've been coming here for the past year and a half since I moved to the area and have nothing but good things to say. They're always open (even on Christmas) and always clean. They have parking as well and if you work a rotating shift like me and can do your laundry on a weekday, there's plenty of on street parking as well. Quick and convenient to get in and out of and the staff is nice, polite and professional. I like that they use the card system as opposed to quarters and the machines are reasonably priced. My whole household (3 adults) uses this facility for our laundry needs. They do a great job with drop off too. My clothes are always folded to perfection and bagged up very nicely. The manager Joe is a gentleman, honest and does right by his clientele. I highly recommend using Laundry Haven if you're looking for a regular laundry spot for either drop off or doing it yourself. -Dave read more
