This place was ran super well by the sweet lady who was there. However, the owner or manager came in while we were there and criticized her for watching tv in Spanish saying "nobody else here is watching this!" Even though we were. He proceeded to change it to basketball (at an extremely high volume) and walk around the place talking loudly on his phone, disrupting everyone who was there. He just had such a disgusting presence. I would have happily taken our business elsewhere if we weren't already drying the laundry. So, my recommendation is take your business to somewhere else who appreciates the customers who pay for him to have his business and the employees who run it. I've been a loyal customer at Laundry Express for about two and a half years now, but my tonights experience was quite disappointing. I arrived at 8:50 PM, well within business hours, and encountered an employee I'd never seen before. As I entered she was mopping, and said to me "Hold on" then looked around and stared at the floor. I initially thought she was preventing me from stepping on a wet floor. However, I noticed that the area where I was walking hadn't been mopped yet, and she didn't clarify anything, so I continued walking to wash my laundry. As she mopped closer to me, she began loudly complaining about having been there since 7 AM. I asked her what time the laundromat closed, and she dismissively said she wasn't talking to me that she was on the phone so for me to mind my own, despite her comment about her hours being clearly audible to all to hear. Additionally, she asked other guests and myself to move so that she could mop where we were standing, which felt very inconsiderate. It was clear from the guests expressions that they were uncomfortable. I own a dryer, so I only needed to wash my clothes and left before any other guests who arrived before me and 1 hour and 30 mins before closing (9:20PM). As I was leaving the employee was outside smoking. To me that is laziness and bad timing on when to do closings duties. As someone who values customer service, I found this behavior inappropriate and disappointing. I hope the management addresses this to ensure a better experience for all customers. A guest doesn't need to know any team member labor hours. That is not what we paying our business for. read more

I was able to get my laundry done quickly. The lady explained how to do everything and what washer was best for the amount of clothes I had and within 17 minutes of my clothes being put in the dryer they were ready. When I complained that there's virtually no water being used to clean clothes at laundromats with "high efficiency" washers and that I might as well go to Lebanon where they still use water to wash their clothes, Wayne, the manager, said "then go back, what are you even doing here then?" I was born and raised in the USA. He was also complaining about "some Mexicans" that left their laundry the other day (they were from Guatemala). There's still soap on my laundry and he said there's nothing he will do about it. He said "they got clean!" I showed him that there's still soap on them. He shrugged and basically said it wasn't his problem. At $6.50 for ONE medium wash, I expected to at least have the soap removed from my laundry. We've used the laundry service here occasionally for years and they do a good job but they aren't enforcing mask wearing currently, even on employees so we won't be back. I didn't leave a negative review when I initially dropped off our items even though I was extremely uncomfortable (the employee was not wearing her mask until halfway through our transition and the man sitting in a chair right next to the register had his mask all the way under his chin) because I know Covid has been hard on small businesses so I brushed it off but when I came back to pick up our order, there was a different employee working who didn't even have a mask in sight let alone properly on her face. We're almost a year into the pandemic, employees and employers should know how to follow covid protocols by now. No quality of laundry service is worth risking exposure to a deadly virus. read more

Laundry express almost tops the cake. I've heard a lot of negative things about laundry mats in the rdu area and I have fortunately not needed to use them. Until now, when I needed to wash my quilts and winter bedding. I decided to also bring all of my laundry just for the fun of it. When I walked in I must have looked a bit confused because a woman working asked if i needed assistance. This place has a change machine for any size bill (under $20, I mean really who takes a $100 bill to do laundry lol), An ATM that gives cash in $10, laundry detergent and softener (for a fee), a sitting area, A few arcade games and a massage chair . I even noticed once I was leaving that they offer free WiFi. The code is posted on the wall. They have machines ranging in sizes with pricing at the lowest for $3.75. If you come during the week you also get complimentary drying. Yes FREE! The dryers are very hot and run 10 minutes at a time. Overall I had a pretty good experience and was able to get in and out in 90 mins with 4 loads of clothing. I also went at night and the place is well lit I'm a female and felt pretty safe! Only downside is parking, as construction is currently underway. Moral to this long reviewyou need to wash your clothes and you live in the area head this way. read more

My cotton duvet is too big for my washer so I took it In. I didn't think to tell them to wash it. When I returned they had dry cleaned it. Partially my fAult for not being explicit. This Is probably one of the cleanest Laundry Mats I've ever been to in the RDU area. The staff is great and the facility is super clean. The location is also good. They offer express cleaning as you can get stuff cleaned while you wait. They also offer laundry items for sale. The prices are way over the top so please be smart and bring your own. So obviously if I'm reviewing a laundromat it must be noteworthy. Came here after searching for laundromats in Raleigh since my washing machine was in need of repair. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. It was clean and bright and not too crowded. I forgot to get cash before I came and the young lady at the counter allowed me to take cash from the card without charge. They have the washing machines organized according to size with the dryers against the wall and plenty of folding tables throughout. I opted for the smaller machines and then used the largest one for my comforter. The machines washed a dried efficiently and I was done within about an hour/hour and a half. Coming from Philadelphia, Laundromats are plentiful and some are even 24 hours. This is the closest that I've come to finding late hours. They are open until 11 pm. I don't mind traveling 15-20 mins. plenty parking great customer service Super Clean Safe equipment is in working order They offer Free Drying on the weekdays. (One catch, you have to restart it every 10 minutes). Who cares? It's free! Note: they are more expensive but I'll pay extra for the environment. The place is really clean and washer an dryers are clean. The staff is so nice and opens doors for you when you carry your laundry in. You can use cash and credit cards which appealed to me! Yes it is more expensive but worth it especially with free dry right now. Extra small wash is $2.75 , Small wash is $4.25, medium wash, $5.25 and large wash is $7.25. The free laundry you so have to restart every 10 minutes but it is free so who cares. I agree with yea it's more expensive but if you so laundry once every 2 or 3 weeks it's with it. I don't know much about laundromats, but I've been to quite a few. And this place rocks! A few minutes down the road from my townhouse, Laundry Express is fairly new with great quality appliances. Being new, it's quite clean to clean your clothes. Get it? I'm not sure if they still will do this, but over the summer months, if you wash your clothes, you can use the dryers for free! And even if you pay normal price, the dryers are so highly efficient that a normal load will probably take about 15-20 minutes, if that really. They have a couple of vending machines if you need a snack. Also, while you are waiting, you can bring your laptop and sit at one of the cafeteria-style round tables to keep you company; they'll give you their wi-fi password. Great place for families because they have a small children's playing area right up front. Forgot some coins? Don't worry; they have a few cash to coin converters. I am very very disappointed. The service is always terrible! I've spent a lot of money on their wash, dry and fold service. This last and final time, I picked up my order and they had lost my laundry basket. Sure they aren't very expensive but it's the principle. They didn't give me a refund, a credit or anything. Apparently there is no policy for losing someone's belongings. When I asked for a business card for the managers information, they didn't have one. This morning, mid cycle, my washer drain clogged. The repair man won't be able to come out until after the weekend so I decided to try laundry express. My previous experiences in college had me worried but once I arrive I was more than pleasantly surprised!! The employees greeted me immediately and asked if I needed any help, as I didn't look like I had been here before. The place is spotless, and the prices are cheap for the high quality, speedy machines they have. Although this particular laundromat is a bit far from my home, I did love the openness and space of the place! The employees are kind and helpful, and it was overall pretty quiet. The only downside about this place, for me, is the high price to just WASH your large sheets (or for some, large amounts of laundry). I would obviously prefer to do my laundry at home cause it is cheaper, but since my washer is too small for my king-sized sheets and large minx blankets, this place will have to do.
