I was just charged $45 to wash a comforter that I paid $30 from Amazon! I was using the Wash Dry Fold Service with is around $3/pound. My comforter is lightweight. I wasn't advised that there would be an additional charge beyond the typical charge. I could have thrown it away and bought a new one for less. read more

Hi Christy, thank you for your comment however your store manager did not allow me to even unlock the door before proceeding back into the store cussing which is totally unprofessional. I unlocked the door he looked me in my eyes after I said one minute please and took the clothes and told me to get them myself. Again cussing and storming to the back of the store which only sparked a greater situation which could have been defused by him just giving me my clothes. Again, I have never encountered this gentleman all my others times coming to your store but this took the cake. He started the whole occurrence with a bad attitude. I am more than welcome to speak with the owners as I believe this gentleman doesn't need to be a manager if he can't handle the pressures of the job. Mind you other customers came into your store and he yells through the store, "I am only one person". We have all been there however that is no way to talk to someone or present an out of character experience to those who are paying their money. Tide Cleaners would rather be "right" than provide great customer service and this is why they have lost my business. I presented a 20% off coupon from the Tide App. and redeemed it when dropping off 10 shirts. The cost was $42.80. I asked about the 20% coupon, and the worker said it would be deducted at pickup when I paid for the order. She gave me my ticket and I left. The next day I returned to drop off 7 pairs of pants (7 @ $9.29/ea. = $65.03) and pick up my shirts. I asked again about the 20% off coupon and the worker said she saw the coupon in the system but wasn't sure why it wasn't deducting the 20%. She called someone at another store for assistance and was told that I could not use the coupon because it was for dry cleaning and my shirts were laundered. I'd never been asked whether I wanted my shirts dry-cleaned or laundered when dropping them off. I asked if they would honor the 20% anyway because I was told when I dropped the shirts off that the 20% would be deducted at pickup and that neither of us caught that the coupon was for dry cleaning. Honestly, I didn't know the difference between dry cleaning and laundering until that day. She said they could not. I told her that I'd rather take my business elsewhere if they would not honor their word. She mentioned this to whomever she was speaking to on the phone and, again, the answer was "no." Tide did not deduct the 20% which would have only been $8.56, and I paid the full price of $42.80. The worker retrieved 8 of 10 shirts and could not immediately find the 2 missing shirts. She asked if I wouldn't mind waiting while she took care of the four waiting customers. After servicing those customers, she continued to look for the two shirts without success. She called someone at another store for assistance. After looking again, she found the shirts. So, Tide Cleaners kept the $8.56 but they lost the $65.03 they would have made on my pants order. And they lost me as a customer. I decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

Said same day service. Receipt says pickup at 5pm. We have a black tie event tonight at New Year's party and are from out of town. Realized there was a spot on the shirt. Called multiple places to find a same day service location, and they said they could do same day. We drop off and receipt says to come to pick up at 5pm. We arrive at 5pm and are told the shirt is NOT there. It was taken to another location and wouldn't be ready for 3 days! We are from out of town and now do not have a shirt for my husbands suit for our new years event tonight. I was given the managers number. Called him. I was frustrated, obviously. I never yelled, just frustratedly said that as the manager...he needed to find a solution- find the shirt and bring it back to this location to us. He told me that it was the employees fault and that she shouldn't have told us same day and told me that I needed to call and talk to her. I said "no, as the leader... it is your job to now problem solve. she has no authority to problem solve- you do. " He HUNG UP on me. Now, we are stuck with no shirt for an event that is in 2.5hours. They have our shirt and the manager won't answer the phone. Now this location is closing and we have no shirt! As a customer... I called initially and confirmed same day. I dropped it off and they said pickup at 5pm. Receipt says to pickup same day at 5pm. Now... I get here and this isn't the case. I am so disappointed at the lack of care in this situation. They show zero empathy and said the shirt is in a big bag of other people's dirty clothes at another location and won't be ready for 3 days. We don't live here... so now what?! Your salesperson did not want to provide management contact and insisted I drive to your Falls of Neuse location which in turn created frustration. This is no way to treat customers especially when you are delivering sub-par service. Ultimately you did not deliver what I paid for and returned money on a coat you damaged. Living in North Hills in Raleigh we have a few decent choices for dry cleaning. However; some are way too expensive and others send your clothes out which increase turn around time and in our experience increase chances for damage to our clothing. With Tide, our suits and dresses are neat, clean, and pressed correctly. Clothing is cleaned and pressed on site. With Tide the cost is well priced unlike at least two of their competitors. With Tide the turn around is sooner than promised. This shop is locally owned and family operated. Another big plus for us. We have been using this Tide Cleaners for two years now for all of our dry cleaning and larger laundry needs, I am very impressed with this operation. They do have drive thru service, I have always been extremely impressed with the drive thru service here. They are extremely quick to meet you at the car door to assist with your laundry needs and the level of customer service is excellent! They have great staff working here, very personable and friendly, they are also extremely efficient. The turnaround time for my dry cleaning has always been extremely short and if you cannot pick up your items during business hours they also have an after hours pickup window which I have used many times. I have never had an issue using the after hours pickup window, it has been a life save for me on several occasions. I have used many cleaners in the past and found the attention to detail here to be exceptional and better than the others I have used. They have made me aware of issues with some of my garments which is a good indication they inspect each garment thoroughly. I have found a few other local cleaners here whom have actually damaged my garments, I trust my garments are in capable hands here. We are extremely happy with the level of service we receive here and will continue to use this Tide Cleaners location. Cheers! read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. We have been using them for years for normal dry cleaning so I recently brought a white leather jacket to them. It had a small make up stain on the arm and some blue color transfer of whatever was hanging next to it in my closet. I understand that leather is difficult, especially white leather. They had to send it off to a professional leather cleaner. That took three weeks and when I got it back, nothing had been removed. It looked exactly the same as when I dropped it off. So they sent it back again. After another 2-3 weeks, I went to pick it up again and this time a new stain was down the arm, that was not there when I dropped it off. All the original stains were there too. At this point I asked for a $50 refund since none of the stains were taken out and a new one was added. They basically called me a liar saying that stain was there too but it wasn't and you can tell it was from the way they had it stored. The conversation got very heated. This was a $600 jacket and they were being very rude about it, and would not even give me a refund. They said that they were not the ones to clean, they didn't do it. But they hired the people who did! I brought it to them to get cleaned and they are the ones that sent it off. The owner, Chris was extremely rude and yelling at me. He even walked to my car stood at my window yelling at me. I eventually just had to drive off because it was not worth arguing with him and we were getting nowhere. I did get upset as well, but I never yelled. The customer service was horrendous and I have never been treated like that at a business. They could've handled this so differently. I would strongly urge you to find a different cleaners or never consider going to this one. Customer service is everything and if they had handled it in a nicer, more apologetic way things would've been so different. read more

I have been using this dry cleaner for about two years. I was generally satisfied although I felt their prices were a little high. A while back they switched to a thin gauge Chinese coat hanger. It is not as durable as traditional ones. My wife has Parkinson's Disease so mobility s an issue and I usually travel 3-4 weeks out of a month. One time she picked up my shirts and while carrying them to the front door, the loop of one of the shirts gave way, causing the shirt to slip and the plastic covering caught around her feet causing her to trip and she fell on the sidewalk. Fortunately, our 11-year granddaughter was with her to help her get up. But she was bruised in many places including her arms and legs. Several days later I went to take my shirts in and to ask the attendant to speak to the manager about the hangers to possibly get them exchanged for older more durable ones. She told me they were the same as they always were. I told her that was not the case and asked her how long she had worked there and she said 4 months. I told her well, maybe that was before they switched. She looked at me skeptically. I told her to take the dry cleaning and I would pick it up later and it would be the last I would deliver there. I then went across the street to Sutton Square to a Cleaner World and discovered the person who used to attend to us at the Leesville Cleaner World before we moved. She recognized me and agreed to give us their weekly special for shirts any day of the week: now that is service--wish I had discovered them earlier. read more

I've used Tide cleaners for a while now and searched out their store when I moved to this area. The closest one was the lockers at Bedford which was convenient. Twice they didn't deliver my clothing even though they sent me an email saying that they did. I would check the lockers and call the store inquiring about my clothes. The response is always the same, "we are sorry and will have your items on the next delivery truck to the lockers. This went on for weeks! Each week they would say it will be on the next truck, I would check the lockers a couple of days later and no clothes...I would call, you get the idea. In both cases, I had to drive the 30 minutes to the store to retrieve my garments. This last time, they lost one of the shirts and wanted a detailed description so they could keep an eye out for it. It was better to cut my losses and say goodbye to Tide Cleaners. read more

They started with being good and even though their prices were about 30 percent higher than competitor, we gave them the business about $300 a month. Their service became worse and they became more expensive and they would charge us even on the shirts that they were not able to clean.. and started charging our CC before the batch was ready!!! They are very bad!! Update: 12/30 Due to the holidays my wife drop off my clothes in the same location that I left my review (1 year ago). Error made on our end. I wasn't even aware of it. Then I get a call from the location saying "Hey we have you with permanent banned due to your negative review on Yelp". Business is business and I wasn't offended as we made the error and drop it off to a location due to me using my old Tide bag. So I go and pick up my clothes and they were left in a Tide trash bag not in the Tide bag that I drop it off. I felt that was a little petty coming from Aaron. Take away, Yelp reviews are here to help others make a judgement call if they chose to business based on what they read. However, the owner of this location has banned me for speaking on my experience. Shady! I wonder if the other reviews are real??? Either way I won't take down my review based on this band. Disappointed on the service they provided. I started to go thru them about a month ago. Amazing job. Very fast, clean and affordable. Then I started to see little details on my shirts. For example the collar was not iron out and wrinkles here and there. I figured it was due to the handling of the bags ect. Then I took a jacket that I purchase for my brother. It was clean but it had a packaging baggage smell. Figured it worth sending it to my favorite place. I pick it up, get charged $8, I am good with the price. Then I open the bag and it smells the same way it did as I before. I figured maybe some error was made and then I see it was not ironed out, as you can still see the line creased from when it was folded in the package. One top of that - there is a small paper towel napkin in the pocket. Then I knew for a fact this was not washed or dry cleaned. I called the owner Aaron. Which I explain the reason for my call. He advised that he knows for a fact that the jacket was washed and that package smell was from the chemicals they used. I was in shock he was that defensive! You can clearly see it was not done - so he advise he they did nothing wrong. I was concerned that if they handed me a jacket that was not clean or washed have they done this before? So in stead of addressing my concerns he gets defensive and then says he did nothing wrong. I just don't get it, why not say "hey that's really not our policy we do the following steps .....I can make it up by re-doing it" but he decided to take the route of WTH are you calling for ....what do you want me to do attitude. read more

Do not use this cleaners. I brought sheets in to be laundered without asking for cost. I was in a hurry when I picked them up along with a few other items which I had laundered. I discovered they charged me a total of $71.86 to wash, dry, iron 2 pillow cases, one queen flat and one queen fitted sheet. I called this morning indicating that the receipt showed I had been charged for 2 bedspreads at $28 each and $5.50 per pillow case, so I thought a legitimate mistake had been made regarding the bedspread charge, they said they could not change it, I asked to speak to the manager, never got him just told by the employee that the price was the price. I called around town, Bothers Cleaners charges $28.96 for the exact same thing (a $42.90 difference), Medlin-Davis $16.00, Capstone $14.00, Dry Clean City $11.00, A Cleaner World $27.21....shall I go on...not necessary to know that I have been price gouged!!!!! It is clear to me that they completely lack customer service and care over my issue, maybe this post will wake them up! UPDATE: I am updating my review as the manager contacted me late this afternoon expressing his concern over my issue asking for more details. He clearly said a mistake had been made and I should have never been charged that amount. As a result he is issuing a refund to my credit card. I am grateful for his attention and professionalism to my great concern and have changed my review. We've never used a dry cleaners before but my grandfather had passed that morning and we had to have a suit ready for the funeral home. It was 11:30 so it was past the time that they would usually do same day pick up but when I called and asked the said to bring it in anyway and they'll do their best. I got a call in less than 2 hours that it was ready, it was perfect and clean when I picked it up and the staff were so nice and gave me their condolences. They even gave a discount when I picked it up. This is the top tier of costumer service and they take care of their costumers. I going there because my regular cleaner closed due to coved. I less than a year, 3 shirts got ruined with a hole. One was repaired then lost completely. I dropped my drapes off and was told I would have them the same day - great! As sweet as the young lady was, she gave me incorrect information; household items take approx. three days. The manager apologized and explained the process to me. I next received a call stating my drapes were ready for delivery but one had a stain that they would like another try at removing. They would gladly deliver them today, but wanted to provide me with the best service possible. Sure, why not? I received my drapes bright and early the next morning. They were beautifully cleaned, smelled wonderful and I received two follow up calls making sure I was satisfied. At a time when customer service is nonexistent, I truly appreciate the attention shown and the effort made to rectify the situation. Finally, a cleaners I like and trust. I normally use a dry cleaner near downtown and they do a fantastic job at a reasonable price. Tide is much closer to my office so I gave it a shot. I was fortunate enough to pick up a 50% off coupon. The business is very clean and the machinery is modern. It is a new facility and it looks and feels new. I was the only customer in the place at the time. The staff was friendly and informal. They were a tad slow, but it is a new place and one would expect there is a learning curve. I submitted one pair of pants, two ladies blouses, and six long sleeve shirts. Three of the shirts were uniform shirts and I needed creases in the sleeves. I asked for medium starch In the uniform shirts and light for the remaining. You pay at pickup at this business. I go to a no frills place normally and I pay at drop off. The clerk entered my coupon and indicated that I would get the discounted rate. I returned two days later and - geek alert - and was impressed that the racks automatically located and dumped my order for the clerk. For nine items my bill was a tad over $21.00. I asked if the coupon was applied and the young lady said yes. I took the clothing and off I went. Shame on me for not looking at the stuff. At home I noted no difference between the light and medium starched shirts. The sleeves on my uniform shirts were either barely creased or not creased at all. I will have to take them to my regular place to get redone. The normal price for nine items would have been over $40.00. Maybe I am spoiled or just plain cheap. Their is no correlation between price and quality of work at Tide. My assessment is that the place is too new to use until they figure out how to do things. Even then, the cost is not worth the service. If my clothing were done well, it would not be worth the price. My take is don't waste your time or money. I would like to take this time to publicly apologize to my normal dry cleaner. I will never cheat on you again! read more

The cleaners was great when it first opened. However the service from management is awful. Twice I have been unable to get my clothes out of the 24/7 kiosk because the system was off lined. This is the main reason I drive across time to use them. I brought this to the attention of the owners Tim and Chris and they pretty much shrugged their shoulders. I also had to have a shirt redone because it was not cleaned. Although they advertise "done right or it's free" they did not offer me anything for redoing the shirt or for not being able to get my clothes as promised. I have never been in a cleaner, friendlier, more precise facility. The service is always excellent and I feel valued by giving them my business. They have offered to set up a pick up/drop off at my work (no extra cost) and have even agreed to pick up a big rug that I cannot transport in my car. I often get text messages from them with promotional coupons and it makes my whole day. Even when I lived on the other side of town, I would drive out of my way to see them. Recently opened. Offered 50% Off coupon for first order. Advertised "odorless" drycleaning. My wife picked up the (LARGE) order, and immediately had to take it back as they had added (and admitted intentionally)a heavy "Tide" scent although she had specifically asked if the process was odorless. Apologized and reprocessed order, and then offered to "air out" for another day. Picked up redone order and immediately took to Brothers Cleaners, as the order still reeked of Tide scenting. For those of use that are very sensitive to chemical scenting (spent two days on Benedril, thanks Tide) would not suggest. read more
