MUST TRY! Finally a…read moregreat authentic Mexican restaurant!! Best hole in the wall and honestly the cleanest. I recently visited Gsisters and was amazed by the quality and authenticity of food. I've eaten Mexican food all over Texas&Mexico and Gsisters more than exceeded my expectations. I started with a bowl of menudo, this is a prehispánic tripe dish and a great hangover cure! The broth was extremely savory with just the right amount of spice. The tripe was extremely fresh and clean (this is a huge plus, most restaurants cut corners here due to the time consuming process!). Y'all see that rolled up delicious tortilla in my hand waiting to be dunked and devoured? HOMEMADE, fresh off the comal. You don't find this just anywhere! If you know you know, if you don't I'll let you know. Homemade fresh tortillas have a softer texture and much more satisfying. The GSisters themselves are great! Super friendly and very accommodating! Oh did I tell you they make amazing popcorn too? I bought a few bags to give as presents to my friends in Texas. Most of the bags are gone now:/ A bit of background, GSisters serve traditional Tierra Caliente regional food. This area encompasses the parts of the states of Guerrero, Mexico State and Michoacán. It is known for its rich culture and delicious food.

I really hate having to leave a negative review because Bravo has always been a place we've enjoyed…read morefor its fresh ingredients and good food, but yesterday's experience was incredibly disappointing. I placed and prepaid for an online order and had my responsible 13-year-old son run inside to pick it up while I waited in the car with my three younger children. For context, I park in the very front parking spot, directly outside the restaurant, where I can keep eyes on him the entire time. He's done this numerous times without an issue. As a busy mom of four, sometimes having your oldest help with something as simple as grabbing a prepaid food order is just part of life. Yesterday, however, he was told he needed to show the order confirmation. No problem. He came back to the car, grabbed my phone, and went back inside to show them. Only then was he told he wasn't allowed to pick up the order because he was a minor. My question is, why make him go back and forth to show confirmation if you weren't going to allow him to pick it up in the first place? I ended up having to go inside myself, despite having four children with me, only to be met with an unnecessarily dismissive attitude when I questioned the sudden change in policy. At one point, an employee even made a comment along the lines of it not being her problem. Completely uncalled for. To make matters worse, once I got back to the car, I realized none of the kids' meals had the queso I specifically requested in the order notes. Uber Eats doesn't offer an option to add queso to those meals, so I had clearly requested it and was more than happy to pay whatever additional charge was necessary. The bag even had a note saying queso was an additional charge. Again, absolutely fine! But why not mention that when my son or I was inside? So back inside I went for a third time, only to be met with more attitude over something that could have been easily resolved. I had no issue paying extra or having the queso placed in separate containers. It was never about that. The entire experience comes down to how poorly everything was handled. Policies are policies, and additional charges are completely understandable, but kindness, consistency, and basic customer service should not be too much to ask. Unfortunately, after being a repeat customer, I left feeling like our business wasn't valued. I made it clear that this would be our last visit, and that's genuinely disappointing because we've always enjoyed the food. A little courtesy and communication would have made this an entirely different experience.

I don't throw this around lightly, but this place gets it right. The moment you hit the salsa bar, you know. Fresh radishes, house-made salsas with real depth, hot carrots--no shortcuts, no watered-down versions. It's the kind of detail that tells you everything before you even take a bite. The food backs it up. From carne asada tacos to a proper California burrito, everything tastes like it should--simple, bold, and done with intention. It genuinely took me back home. The space itself is small, but it carries a ton of character. The service is what really sets it apart--friendly, sharp, and seamless. Watching the team move between Spanish, Korean, and English without missing a beat is impressive and says a lot about the culture behind the place. And that's what makes this spot special. It's Korean-owned, but there's a real respect for the food and the tradition behind it--and they execute it the right way. You get a mix of people in here too--regulars, first-timers, families--all there for the same reason: the food is legit. This has quickly made its way into my weekly rotation. If they had a drive-thru, I'd probably be here every day. Places like this deserve to be supported--not just because they remind you of home, but because they go out of their way to do something right. And this place absolutely does.

So we got the waitress to come over and asked how much longer so she went to ask. came back and said its almost done ok fine we complained about the other tables but waited anyway. 20 minutes goes by still no food. So i said to my friends F this I am leaving ill pay for my beers but i don't care if the food comes out while I'm paying i am done. well i am standing at the register and the waitress looks at me but does not come over so i can pay. So i walk over and say i am done waiting i am just want to pay my tab because i am leaving. she asks oh do you want it to go i said hell no i have been here over an hour and still no food and your not busy i am done. she then she rings up my tab with the food and i tell her i am not paying for food i did not get so she says she has to get the manager to take it off. so i said good go get the manager then he wants to argue that i ordered the food. i said i might have ordered it an hour ago but people who came in after we ordered have gotten their food eaten paid their bill and left and i still have no food. he says oh its coming out now i say nope i am done being in this place just take the dang food off so i can pay for my beer and leave. he says again but you ordered it and i said i didn't get it now did I. anyway i finally get the food off the bill and pay for my beer and left my friends told me it was another 10 minutes before the food came out. Ok so the third time eating there i had decided it had been about 3 years since the waiting issue and its close to home like 3 miles so i tried again. a simple beef and bean burrito i told the lady NO onions No peppers extra cheese and sour cream on the side well lets just say they held most of the onions and peppers but not all so when she asked if it was ok i showed her the onions and peppers i found and she said oh im sorry. I said no you did not make it the cook is the sorry one. some old guy came in and when he walked by he stopped and asked if everything was ok and i said not really i ingested some onion and peppers that give me terrible bloating and indigestion because the cook cant fallow directions and he also said sorry and offered to replace it i said nope cant eat anymore i can already feel the gas building up and i don't trust the damn cook not to poison me again. no one offered to take any money off my bill i only ate maybe 1/3rd of the food told her to throw it at the cook i didn't want it couldn't eat it. but i paid the whole bill full price even left the nice lady a decent tip but i will never go back there again. I do not recommend this place and if i could give negative stars i would.

My sister got a carne asada plate and it covered half the plate, came perfectly cooked and had roasted potatoes, beans and rice. I also got an al pastor quesa taco to try and it was fantastic. While there is double tortillas, they are light and airy, and then there's just this whopping layer of fried cheese that brings the hit of umami. The sides get frico'd and crispy. There's a generous portion of meat and a nice lime wedge to top it all off. The service was excellent, and the inside is vey nice.
